Thanks for the review. I'm a bit disappointed there's nothing really new except a smaller package, which is appreciated. I'll be the exception with this comment, but not being a super-techy person, I find connecting the motion (original) to wifi difficult. Shelly products have so much functionality I want to go "all in" but I cringe whenever I have to connect a device. Just ordered a Kasa motion detecting switch to see if their system is a bit more consumer oriented.
I also had issues with the original. For example the MQTT function never worked on it, but it works first time here. So maybe there are invisible improvements under the hood that needed a new hardware...
They may not have redesigned the internals a lot, given the original did work well. However, the physical design and the more streamlined circuit is definitely a big difference. A bit of improved battery life and a more efficient circuit look good. Motion sensors, well they detect motion. Any improvement can only be incremental :) Companies bring out new models, even just incremental changes, for marketing purposes really. The original is "dated" so bring out a new one to make people think they need to buy it.

Yes, I checked it now. You can disable the LED.
Just bought two of Motion 2 sensors and none came with charging cable, should I contact Shelly about it?

Well, I did mention that. Even the old one had lux sensor to enable actions in the daytime, dusk or darkness...
Does anyone know if it has a magnet built in? Can it stick to metal without the bracket and sticky tape?
No, there is no magnet. I cannot even feel any metal inside with a magnet.
