I just had the same experience as Reyna. I heard this song, this voice, and those words on the radio. It captured my attention as I was sitting and painting at my table. I listened with tears in my eyes. The enemy wants us to feel inferior, less than, like we don't matter-those are the lies that our Good Lord takes from us, in his love. Praise God's love, In Jesus' name!
Thank you for being honest about your story. I’ve struggled with identity my whole life. It’s been hard for me to believe who I am in Christ. This song means so much to me, encourages me about my identity.
So glad god led me to this and had me hear it. The truth is my lifeverse. Going through a rough time i have ever been and cry often hearing this song. Bc it moves me so much. Im back to feeling great and now the holy spirit is moving in megan. glad i have a reason to continue living. Had terrible thoughts constantly for a week i didnt want to keep going. Never probably would do anything bc of my two girls. But had those horrible thoughts. Keep preaching megan. Get an album would live to hear all of it one day.
Gods HOLY WORD, Is the only TRUE answer, to All the enemies lies. We Overcome by The Precious, Pricless, Blood of The Lamb, And The Word of our Testimony 🙏❤️🙌
Megan, thank you for using your talent to Glorify Jesus ❤. Jesus used your difficult days in your life to prepare you for one reason only, to Glorify Him. ❤
"He looks at me and wouldn't change a thing"...this line is NOT the truth. Come as you are...not stay as you are. Simple question...If you don't need to change, why do you need Jesus???? Answer please....
Yes and No, in terms of how we were made and what we look and feel like when the enemy attacks us then we have to discern the truth and that is that God has come to set us free and has created us in His image to worship Him and nobody should be able to steal that joy off us. In terms of change regarding ridding us of our sin we have Jesus to do that for us through faith and then God empowers us to move in His strength to change. The song is not a theological treatise on sin but rather it is a sheild to act as a defence of our faith in times of personal attack. We all feel our sins and we hate them but through Christ we are forgiven and if we hate our sin it is no longer I that sin but sin that dwells in me, Paul was clear on that. God Bless you.
Also Christ in us the hope of glory is empowering to know and we know this by the fact that God can move in us even despite our circumstances. So when our circumstances bring us down we can dig deep and grab hold of our faith we we even look like Him bodily as we are created in His image. The enemy wants us to think we see disgusting and not worth Gods time, that is not true, God died for us and His grace and mercy are shown in this song,
What Megan Woods is singing is NOT the truth but more lies. This song is just spinning more of the world's false comfort that we are wonderful just the way we are, but in a "Christian" context. We aren't wonderful the way we are, which is why Jesus came. The faulty lyrics are: 🎶 I make Him proud and I make Him smile I was made in the image of a perfect King He looks at me and wouldn't change a thing 💡 The exact opposite is true. God looks at us after we're born again and sees we need EVERYTHING to be changed to be like Jesus (Rom 8:29), we are not suddenly changed into Jesus' image in an instant. We are BEING changed and will only be complete when He comes again (1Jn 3:2). This is why we must wear Jesus' righteousness and be found in Him (Phil 3:8). When the Father looks at us He sees Jesus, not because we suddenly look like Jesus but because we are literally in Jesus. The rest of the time we spend on earth He spends changing us, conforming us to be like Jesus by the power of the Holy Spirit. And the Holy Spirit shows us in the mirror of God's Word what needs to change (2Cor 3:17-18) He uses stacks of things to conform us that don't look like grace but are grace - like tragedy + suffering. He points out our sins and disciplines us. When we look at ourselves we are supposed to see the areas we don't measure up and place our confidence in Jesus and understand the real TRUTH - that we are NOTHING apart from Christ and that's ok because He is EVERYTHING we need. Our confidence is not in who we are but who He is. All this rar-rar about "I'm a child of the King" trying to make myself seem so wonderful + ok is nothing but trying to boost my confidence in myself. And that is fleshly and worldly pride. We fix our eyes on Jesus, looking + looking at Him , quit looking at me + trying to feel good about myself and live for Him. My confidence is not in who I am but that He's with me and I'm in Him. Now that's the Truth. 📖✝️
It might not all be true if you look at it that way yes, but I personally found it inspirational because it can be a perfect catalyst to break the negative thoughts circling in one's mind.
@@annad4825 The problem is that comforting ourselves with lies isn't the answer. The Bible tells us to build ourselves up in the Truth. If you can search for an article by Desiring God called The Purifying Power of Delight in Christ. It is so encouraging. "For every look at yourself take 10 looks at Christ". And an excellent very short book by Tim Keller called "The freedom of self forgetfulness". Very freeing indeed!! With love in Jesus. ❤

I want to love this song, but something doesn’t sit right in my spirit about it. In Her video she chose to wear a black dress that looks very wiccan. So many of these artists vaguely touch on the word of God and rarely mention the name Above All Names Jesus Christ. Thankful she’s using her voice to praise God, yet, something feels a bit secular about it all.
