FinnSnow I cried watching one of your videos.. again. What you have been doing here in your vlog really touches my soul. You bring out emotions i have been trying to supress. I never knew i can learn so much from youtubers but you really are an exception. Thanks for doing what you do. You are beyond amazing.
The harsh reality of the Philippines is that there are so many heartbreaking stories from people in terrible situations that most will never get to hear but the longer you live there and the more people you meet, the more amazed you will be that all these people still get on with life and continue to smile, even when the odds are stacked against them...Respect
Some people see the ugly side of oli's story but dont see the good in humanity that is epitomized by oli. He worked at 12 to help support his family and despite his hardships, he never mentioned anything for himself but for a brighter future for his sibling and a wish for his dad. He might not enter a classroom of a big university but he had a bigger classroom, life. I admire this guy more than the successful CEOs, a true inspiration.
I've lived in tiny barren Cabra island, two hrs by pumpboat off bigger Lubang island, NW of Occ. Mindoro. Life even today is harsh with barely a source of potable water and power. Life in Phil remote islands is a test of will to survive and make do with what you have in there. Our elder women almost all worked as househelpers in Manila to send their children to school, while menfolks fished, planted garlic and peanuts. Almost no coco and fruit trees survive. Many of those sun tanned children are now professionals, including me. Thank you Finn for inspiring us that life is worth living despite the hardships.
Life of an islander is never easy. Their livelihood is very dependent mostly on fishing. The story that Oli shared is a story that is shared by many, if not most islanders, especially in remote areas. Let's not forget that the Philippines is a developing country and does not have the resources needed for enforcements, unlike other more developed countries. Watched without skipping ads because I want Oli to see his family. Strong family ties is a one of the Filipino's strength. A hug from his family will fuel him from hard challenges life may bring.
GOD blesses your soul for your empathy and genuine care for the locals and our country and yours, too since you've been awarded to be the permanent resident of the Philippines. I had mixed emotions after watching the videos. You really captured our hearts Finn! You're genuine!I watched so many videos of different vloggers but as a Filipino I never felt the same before.I can feel that, what comes out from your mouth is from the heart! Really appreciated of what you've done to our fellowmen & what you're gonna do in the future. Please stay as what you are.I'm sure you'll go far.God bless & much love!❤❤❤Tc!
Pinpin your kind heart has impacted positively to these islanders. Your dad and your late mom sure are very proud of you. Your compassion to these people is inspiring. What I admire about you Finn is that you have a listening heart, it's not only your ears that hear its your heart too that's why you are my favorite vlogger. You listen and you learn then you share what you learn. You were well bred by your parents. For Oli, he is a very loving son. He took full responsibility for sending his siblings to school. He sacrificed his future for his siblings. I can smell outpouring gratitude coming because of you two.
For most tourists visiting the islands in the Philippines, their fun experiences with the beauty of nature eclipsed with the sad reality of life to most islanders. Thank you Finn, you brought a big deal in one islander's plight for survival. I think that you have found your purpose as to why you are in the Philippines. Thank you.
I can relate to Oli’s story of life. I, myself is an islander, after my graduation in grade school, my father send me to Manila to live with my aunt. I worked in their house taking care of everything and raising her children since birth. In return she send me to school. I have to take night school because I work during daytime. After many years of hardships and heartaches plus the homesickness, I graduated in college. Years after that I met my husband and he brought me here in the US. My family’s life is a lot better now. I build a nice house for Mother and father and I support them financially every month. Family is everything to us.
Finn, Kuya sounds like you while he was narrating about his life. Thank you Finn for helping him and the whole family to be reunited. you have such a big heart. God bless you!
That was truly awesome. The beauty, the story of Oli. I literally cried. I’m 54 years old. I’ve been married twice. My second marriage for 19 years. My wife passed away a year and a half ago. I recently started to get to know a beautiful filipino lady. I’m waiting for my passport to arrive. And October. Or possibly sooner. I’m going to meet up with her to the Philippines. You and the group fighterboys have really inspired me.the country is beautiful. The people are beautiful. I feel like it’s my home. And haven’t been there yet. Thank you for sharing your time on here.
There's a lot here of the Filipino life not only "islanders". Also strikes a chord and hits close to home for me. We can live heaven on earth... Anywhere in this world and especially in tropical paradise like the Philippines where climate, flora and fauna can provide so much of people's needs. I admire countries that can provide their own people high levels of education and teach people skills without asking one family member to sacrifice their own chances of a better life. Olli is truly an example of self-sacrifice for the benefit of his family. I hope one day in the Philippines no child will have to leave school and work to help put food into their stomach or pay medical bills. I hope with modern technology no child will have to leave their family and home to get an education. It's been over 20 years since the first time I heard of internet classrooms -the Australian government guaranteeing each child living in remote places an education through online classrooms with a teacher (provided by the whole country through the distribution of taxes). No electricity? No fresh water? I love the human mind for making technology to provide for so much: from the sea, technology can bring electricity using the energy from the waves and filtration technology can make seawater potable (ok to drink). Thank you Olli and Finn for this lifestory. In paradise sometimes the smiles hide a lot of hardship and pain.
Soon Sis! When Philippine's wealth will be open to the world Filipino's will have a better life... No more poverty, no more children working to feed their family, no more OFW's. Soon Philippines will be on top... I am praying when it will happen Filipino's will still stay humble and remain loving to others.
reviewed this vlog to the end...thank you so much for sharing Oli"s journey as a poor islander surviving life for family"s sake...yes the country has all the natural resources..but what makes life worse is the government is run by corrupt elitists people whose only purpose in running for government position is to rob and live a life of plunder ..using the position and resources for their own greedy schemes....this country will always be categorized as a "developing country" because of them
Thank you so much for sharing this Finn! You and the Fighter Boys have a GOLDEN HEART!! This brought tears to my heart because my own mom finished a 3rd grade education only so she can support her parents and 7 siblings. Just like Oli shared, she came home just to make sure her family is fed and clothe and that lasted only a very short stay - not working was never an option for my mom. Because of all her hard work, they lived a decent life. We are now in the U.S. for 42 yrs with God's help, I pray I can make it home to visit in May 2020. Seeing all this beautiful sceneries from you and the Fighter Boys videos makes me go home every night before I go to bed. I appreciate you all so much! ♥
Explored several islands here in the Philippines and Oli's story is just one of those 'many' stories of Filipinos trying their best to live and to provide their family with a happy life. Philippines is so beautiful including its people but once you get you learn their (filipinos) story, you'll sometimes think if Philippines is really a beautiful place to live? Life is never fair but you gotta go with it. ❤️
thank you Finn for sharing this, Oli is the epitome of the one who live and work hard for his family, most of us Filipinos smile even though we experience hardship in life, because we believe in the old saying "huhupa din ang ulan at sisikat muli ang araw para harapin ang bagong bukas" after the rain the sun will rise again to face a brand new day, that's why we become more resilient in life....salute to you Oli....
Thank you for showing the world how beautiful our country (Philippines) there is more hidden places and virgin islands which is really breath taking.. Again from the bottom of our filipino hearts.. Thank you finn! Godbless and always stay safe.. Love and respect bro..
Hey Finn, thanks for sharing this. Maybe your community will help Oli and his father to have their reunion all together with the family - setting up an account or donation pledge where we can spend some little money for big happiness. BTW I really like how you present the Philippines and the people - the spirit as I also have experienced there. Glad to be back in 19 days.
Life isn't always the way we want it to be..what matters is that we live with good intentions and provide happiness for others. Oli just make the best of the best of everything that life brings for his family. I salute you Oli. Thank you Finn for sharing his story. No matter what happen family first❤️ GOD BLESS YOU FINN.
i admire oli and fil people for their hardwork. we here in usa, live in a comfort zone, yet some taken for granted what we have in abundance. finn thank u for sharing, you have agood heart.fyi. oli is a typical filipino story in the island. notice tho they dont have higher education, they speak /communicate in english.
Hi Finn ..I'm a Londoner but I was born in Mindanao, Philippines. Your vlogs reminds me of my life as a young boy living in different towns and barrios and cities as well during my university days. I have lived in an island as a young boy in Dinagat island in Surigao del Norte. It makes me smile reminiscing some of your activities as I had done it too. I'm binging of viewing your vlogs. I just found yours just few weeks ago. I am a film maker too but I am a multi-media artist. Never been back in the Philippines(Mindanao) since I left 40 years ago. Your vlogs serve as antidotes of my being home sick. You've done a lot and it's a pleasure and joy watching them. I can still speak the language. Thanks for sharing. Keep up the good work...HatmanofLondon
I can relate to Oli’s story. I have a similar story to his growing up in a small fishing community in the Philippines. I can recall growing up my father and the community using dynamite for fishing. One of my father fishing buddies died when he didn’t release the dynamite on time and blow up in his hand. I was in the second grade when this happened. Listening to Oli’s story brings back old memories. Thank you, Finn.
The others Pilipino they are survivors there life, but only I can observed them is the smile face and happy all the time if you meet them...they look after with you all the time..the most important you just show the respect to them..they are friendly people..God bless philippines
I cried and i cried and i cried, dont worry Oli Gods kingdom is the real solution to our problem, think of this, even though we are rich or poor,we are all facing sadness of imperfections of our system...be brave and courgeous someday i will see you personally.
Everyone is undergoing struggles and challenges in life whether you are rich or poor. Oli is awesome coz until now he survive it and thrive. So many give up their life but Oli didnt and for that I am happy he is mentally and emotionally strong which is so important. Sometimes I envy those who are out under the sun most of their life. His life is also an adventure for me. Adventure is life!!!
Awesone Finn! a documentary of Phillipines blessed with the beauty of nature contrasting the story of Island People fighting to survive the perils of life. Philippines has lot more inspiring stories to tell.
I learned about the Tao Expedition "Lost Boys" thru UA-cam and since then I've been saving for it. I want to do it one day with my daughter for her to realize how blessed she is despite her troubles and how much she can help with what she has. Thanks for sharing this experience Finn. Makes me want to do the expedition even more. One day.
Most people in Philippines experience hardship in life. I was one of them despite having a mom who works as a government employee and a dad who was a farmer. Sometimes I would blame God why I had to learn things the hard way. But not now. My hardships in life, especially in my childhood years shaped me to be a better person. And those hard times helped me to be strong, resilient and appreciate life more. Good decision to expose your daughter in the Philippines, she'll realise a lot. I hope you'll get the chance to do that. Godbless!
Your videos are absolutely spectacular and beautiful. The best I've seen on UA-cam! I love your travels and the people you meet. I just say thank you for what you bring us! Your efforts are truly appreciated.
Family first and always... Pinpin you are like a prophet in the modern world. You became the voice of the people and thus the voice of God for your vlogs expose the reality of life - the bare truth. The truth may touch us or even hurt us but what is important is how we are responding to the truth in the most positive way.
I been here for three years now there is a dark side to the Philippine island's it is one of the most beautiful spots in the world if you come here learn more about the Philippines I personally love the Filipino people but my advice learn more about the Philippines God bless
My hearts fell for him. I can relate to his life’s story. The struggle I had in my past during my childhood but no need to tell all of that. Telling Oli story on your vlog is something big. Blessings will come to those who struggle and persevere in life ✌️
One of the best video of finn..the beauty and sacrifice of Filipino people..happy to see the beauty of Phil..thru acrobatic cinematic film..Yahuwah bless Finn Snow
I love u FinnSnow, thank u so much, for loving our homeland....as u say ur 2nd home also....and for making the video, for the beauty and sad stories of our fellow men...
Hi Finn, God showed me in my dream about you, me and my neighbour and you were riding in a jeep, mostly if I dream people riding a car, this are people who recieve grace from God. God saw the pure heart in you. GOD BLESS YOU AND GOD LOVE YOU!!!
The best thing about u pin is that u don't just take videos photos etc. To show every one in the world how beautiful phil is. U have that passion and heart to show what is life!! And this is one of my favorite video of yours... keep it up pin.. have a bless travel 😊
Wow... Palawan. Oh my God! No words to say. It's so perfect already. Thanks FinnFinn.... And oli is good guy and very responsible being a sibling to their family.
Thank you sharing Oli's story, Finn. That hit me like a ton of bricks and I got choked up thinking about the sacrifices that my Lola and my dad''s siblings made to make sure he received an education. My dad was one of 9 children, raised in poverty in the Philippines, alone by my Lola. But their sacrifice gave me a very comfortable life in the USA. My dad only talks about this stuff when he drinks too much alcohol. So hearing Oli's story really hits home and gives me a greater appreciation for the sacrifices my family made.
You got a unique kind of vlogging Fin. It's not always fun and travel or just about you but you always get stories along the way and tell them to the audience. You got observant eyes that see through the soul. Keep it up Pinpin! 💯👌.
I remember my late father was an islander, what he did after high school was to travel across the island where there is an oppurtunity to work part time and at night attend his class. He finished his college and found a good job, get married to a teacher, my mom. My father used to tell us his stories to inspire us to do our things to do finish schools and told us that we were fortunate enough because when we cook our food just click (because we use gas range) then there is fire already, while during their time they have to find woods and sometimes the wood is not so dry that it cannot produce fire right away you have to blow it that made you cry because of the smoke.... Some islanders have success stories others not, that's life here in the Philippines, the smile behind also had two faces, sad and happy. 👍👀💓💙💜💓 ..... and when they see foreigner like you FinnSnow we are happy, and when the color of the skin is white we consider as "Americans" without knowing that there is also coming from Iceland like you Pinpin he he and a Canadian like Kulas 😃😃 when we were young then but I think there are still young today, at present time, they thought the same, foreigners with white skin are "Americans" ..... he he and they call them Hi Joe, we with my siblings call them that way.... that was way, way back then, long time ago, because I'm in my 50's now.... take care of your health FinnSnow and continue enjoying roaming around Philippines with care, the places you visited is new to you, so your body is not yet used to the climate .... Have a nice day....
Never quit...even if you know how it will ends...never quit. Hope and dreams that some day, the situation will be better than what is now. In the process, you learn and it shapes you into the person that you are and pay it forward, by helping and lifting others. You must have a lot of heart, determination is what keeps you going...you do not fail, you only learn.
The real island life. Boracay Must have been like that 50 40 years ago./Authentic Beautiful but harsh at the same time. I hope the future for these islands bring economic benefits to islanders via grassroots and balanced eco tourism and shared human experiences. Thanks Pinpin and Oli for this vlog. One of the best I've viewed about the Philippines this year! This deserves more views and thumbs up!
Finn almost of your vlogs I felt it i did crying before sleeping I am glad that there is still person like you who has a big heart when interms of reality in life,.. God bless you finn i hope i can meet you more power more vlogs reality is the best
Wow very touching for sure....felt the reality of how difficult it is to live island life...yes looks beautiful but the daily sustenance...Food and Shelter...must be hard..
Wow... what an inspiration to us all.. oli reminds me of my experience in the Philippines.. I strived hard to better my life. My aim was to come to America to help my poor family.. I worked hard in the states for 42 years. I came here in the states when I was 22 years old.. Since then I was able to get most of my family to live in America. Now they are living the American dream Thanks for sharing.. you are absolutely right. Oli is the real " human expedition "... an inspiration.... I hope for the best of him and his family.. "Hard work always pays off" Merry xmas from Palm Springs. ..
Another great video PingPing Thank you.You presented a beautiful and touching contrast of Life and Living: showing the corals so serene and full of life teeming with small lively creatures depicting an abundance in nature, sadly however, as in Oli’s timeline story, his family’s simple and happy life is cut short by commercialism and economic exploits (possibly by large businesses or foreign companies) and he himself had to resort to the use of dynamite, which not only endangered the underwater ecosystem but also people like Oli as they embark on this deadly journey. As for the corals and the beginning sea world life, what are its chances of survival when constantly challenged by dynamite fishing and the so called “regulated 50 mile unlimited commercial fishing”?. Ping Ping I’m so thankful to you for sharing us this video, I hope many more viewers will be more aware of the delicate status of the ecosystem, especially that of the underwater communities of fishes and corals and other wildlife. Good JOB FinnSnow, my favorite vlogger!!!
Inspiring story of Oli.but not just Oli this is same as true with so many Filipinos islanders or highlanders struggling to make a living for their families always about helping their siblings and parents part of our culture.Beautiful island, great story telling, awesome video, amazing drone footage ,best vlogger with a heart you're the man Finn keep it up.waiting for the vlog of your next destination
Hi Finn! What a nice and touching video especially when Oli share his story. His story is very Filipino's story full of sacrifice, struggle hardwork but inspiring despite of all the ups and down we Filipino's keep on standing and fight to provide better life for our family's. God bless Oli and you too Finn..
I just cried when you touch the ocean floor..makes me happy!! Happy to be alive to see such a beautiful place like that.. Thanks Finn... More Power to Come! 👌
Good job Finn! This is a much better documentary of some of the sad stories of the Filipinos whose stories where never heard by the majority yet truly inspiring. Your videos and the way you edit it is amazing. You've become a pro highlighting scenes and spots and showcasing the island at its best! 2 thumbs up to you! Enjoy every single moment of your adventure and stay in the 🇵🇭. Living with the locals, eat, sleep and do things with them is something they'll always appreciate for the rest of their lives. God bless you more with a good and compassionate ♥!
My father, in bicol, had a same situation with his father. He haven't met his siblings for a very long time until one day, this 2018, I found them on Facebook one was in Olongapo and the other one was in Mandaluyong. They were 7 siblings but now there are only 3 of them. My goal on Christmas is to reunite them. I am so excited because I know that my father will be very happy. That is my gift for him this Christmas :)
I really dont know why i am in tears 😢😢😢 tears of joy i guess. But i can feel the purity of intension of this video! Its really an awesome video. One of the best videos i watched showcasing a culture of Philippines. New subscriber here! God bless you and more vids to come
You will never know a person if you never know the story of his life. Financial incapability, ignorance, and life difficulties motivates Oli to strive hard. I admire him and his father to raise his family despite of everything. Hats off to this man. from the bottom of my heart, I personally thank you very much Finn for sharing this story. As always, you go beyond our expectations.
I love the island. Especially the sand. Love this video Pin2😊 his story is a typical Filipinos Finn ,that's why mostly Filipinos helping one another to see our siblings to college ✌❤🇵🇭
This sets you apart from the others Finn. You always try to genuinely connect to our people and you listen to their stories. That counts a lot to us.Daghang salamat Pinpin.
I've experience this in grade school , my dad is from Negros too and experienced applying fertilizer to sugarcanes for my aunt's sugarcane plantation together with other children and bros ,sis and cousins ,it was a great experience
As a third culture kid, I can't help but feel left out from my own country. Basically, Finn has spent more time in the Philippines than I have. It's a shame that I only get to experience the Philippines through contents like these. Bless you Finn, you bring people like me closer to home. Looking forward for more great content. Mabuhay!
Everyone is going through things in life but the best way to go through it is to fight. Everyone has their own unique story where anyone can also learn from each. ❤❤❤❤❤❤
I've been watching your videos lately and it was totally incredible and superb. Thanks for featuring the islands of Philippines especially its inner beauty and story; not all do this kind of vlogging. Enjoy the county and hope to see more quality vlogging from you Finn. 🙂🤗

In paradise sometimes the smiles hide a lot of hardship and pain.
thanks for your insight
Thanks......nice video..
I come Philippine February 2019.
Regards Lars lasse from Finland.
Welcome to philippines❤
Much much welcome @Lars kosonen
Unlike every other vlog on UA-cam, this one has heart. Thanks Finn for sharing.
Hope Kuya Oli get the reunion that he wanted so much for his father..😇💔
His story is very inspiring. Thanks Finny for sharing this..😇😇😇
Thank you for showing the world how beautiful our country (Philippines) there is more hidden places and virgin islands which is really breath taking..
This feels like a BBC Documentary --GREAT VIDEO +FinnSnow
Life isn't always the way we want it to be..what matters is that we live with good intentions and provide happiness for others. i admire oli and fil people for their hardwork. we here in usa, live in a comfort zone, yet some taken for granted what we have in abundance. finn thank u for sharing, you have agood heart.fyi. oli is a typical filipino story in the island. notice tho they dont have higher education, they speak /communicate in english.
I tried not to cry while watching Oli.
you bidding those kids amping is heartwarming...kudos to you Penpen...💞💞💞
Pin Pin, You are a GREAT ambassador for the People of the Philippines Islands :-) I Take My Hat of to you Sir Pin Pin.
One day.
Youre a good mom.
Godbless!
It's really amazing that OLI speaks very good English. Very touching and emotional story. Cheers for the video. Very inspirational Finn.
I love you Finn! you have a heart of gold...I love you too OLI!!
Thank you also for Oli's story..... what a heart warming story of life for an islanders. I will not forget him and his family.
WOW thank you Pinpin
Philippines is paradise 💜
I been here for three years now there is a dark side to the Philippine island's it is one of the most beautiful spots in the world if you come here learn more about the Philippines I personally love the Filipino people but my advice learn more about the Philippines God bless
My hearts fell for him. I can relate to his life’s story. The struggle I had in my past during my childhood but no need to tell all of that. Telling Oli story on your vlog is something big. Blessings will come to those who struggle and persevere in life ✌️
I absolutely love this video. The island life, the beaches, the reefs, the whale sighting, Oli's story. It's just incredible.
Fin you got a good heart for the people especially that they not educated and for, my God bless your heart, wish there more fin and this world

The best thing about u pin is that u don't just take videos photos etc. To show every one in the world how beautiful phil is. U have that passion and heart to show what is life!! And this is one of my favorite video of yours... keep it up pin.. have a bless travel 😊
I am so touched, I am crying. My prayers to everyone!
Wow... Palawan.
Crying again ...my son get to watch this the hardship being in an Island and show what the life we have before
I remember my late father was an islander, what he did after high school was to travel across the island where there is an oppurtunity to work part time and at night attend his class.

Wow... what an inspiration to us all.. oli reminds me of my experience in the Philippines.. I strived hard to better my life. My aim was to come to America to help my poor family.. I worked hard in the states for 42 years. I came here in the states when I was 22 years old.. Since then I was able to get most of my family to live in America. Now they are living the American dream
Thanks for sharing.. you are absolutely right. Oli is the real " human expedition "... an inspiration.... I hope for the best of him and his family..
"Hard work always pays off"
Merry xmas from Palm Springs. ..
I'm in love to your drone, and go pro❤️❤️❤️😍😍😍😍😍
Inspiring videos you got here. The Philippines is a gem.
An inspiration to all.......many thanks Finn.....watching your vlog w/o skipping any ads..
Oli sano!!! Salute to you bro. Keep it up! God Bless you

Amping Finn, I love you.❤️❤️❤️💋💋💋💋
As a third culture kid, I can't help but feel left out from my own country.
I will visit this place soon thank you for sharing your videos
