Writing a REAL Finale for The Simpsons

- Here is my concept of how to ACTUALLY end The Simpsons after the surprise 'finale' episode acting as the season premiere of Season 36, Bart's Birthday. This is a follow up to my review of that episode.

2:55 I disagree. That implies young people watching the Simpsons are mostly familiar with the modern episodes. That is inaccurate. They are probably watching a ton of the classic episodes on Disney Plus.

Things I want in the final season: Mister Burns dying/retiring and Smithers taking over the plant, Moe getting married, Abe dying after mending his bond with Homer, Ned finding love again, Skinner becoming superintendent, Quimby getting replaced as Mayor, Maggie saying her first words

Woah genuinely wtf, i know this is like a kinda generic thing to say and you see it in videos with small viewcounts all the time, but how tf dose this video has so little likeeee.... I thought this channel was just like one of the typical successful analysis channels because of how professional the editing and stuff is, so its so shocking to see. You can't really kill Abe, he is shown to be alive in one of the future episodes as they freeze his body to keep him around
The ideal finale (to me at least) was always showing the family grow and connect most of the future episodes together (some contradic eachother but you can change a few things to make it fit) and see their lives unfold, just focusing on the Simpsons family
For example, we never has an episode with teenage Lisa in the house, we never saw much of future Maggie, I wanna see how the house was when Lisa went to collage and was just Bart as a young adult and Maggie as a young teen living there
I've always thought Grampa Simpson dying is an inevitability. If Dan were to ever pass away they couldn't get rid of Homer, but killing off Grampa would be a good way to honor him.
They need to end the show before Dan or any of the other voice actors die
The last Simpsons episode should be a static shot from the tv's perspective. There's a news report that the nuclear power plant is melting down, but the family are preoccupied with their phones and tablets completely ignoring or unaware of what's going on.
Amazing ending!! Tho it could need some more depth into homer and abe’s past father and son issues
maybe homer keeps a secret about abe’s death date to prevent hurting the kids’ feelings, and when homer and abe are bonding together for the last time, homer could ask abe if he ever loved him, abe would probably say “yes, i’ve always loved you, even when me and your mother fought i still loved you” and they hug for the first time while roasting marshmallows near a campfire [they went camping]. once homer returns home to his family and tells them about the death date, bart cries because abe has been more of a caring father than homer at times. And lisa cries because she has been with him sometimes too. Eventually homer gives him a hug before abe passes out and they all take him to the hospital, when dr. Hibbert comes back he tells them “i’m sorry, homer, but… your father is dead” and homer is like “NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!”. As homer is reading the will at the funeral, he vows to never strangle anyone again, and they bury the coffin. [the instrumental for we can be heroes plays in the background] When riding into the sunset, it cuts to a future simpsons scene [like the thanksgiving one for example] where future marge says “he was a great man, i wonder what he’s doing now?” And both future marge and homer look at the night sky where stars are in the shape of abe’s head with the words at the bottom of it saying “rest in peace castellaneta” since the episode would probably air when dan castellaneta [the voice actor for abe] dies. After marge and homer kiss for the final time, the episode cuts to credits with the we can be heroes instrumental playing.
I think that would be slightly an easy change because of the fact that homer argued with abe a whole lot through out the show, and i think that the future homer and marge scene would fit since it’s a finale and it would finally mean they can represent the death of abe’s voice actor as well.

My take on the simpsons ending would only work if season 36 keeps on with the "Ending" theme. But imagine:
All the episodes from season 36 would revolve around some character changing drastically in subtle ways, not necessarily a "Happily Ever After" but a change of mind.
Bart starts to notice those tricks and sees that Connon O' Brian is trying to end the show again, but he's not scared, he is ready to protect the world he always lived on, and once that's decided, he asks his family to do the first couch gag of throwing bart up in the air, except this time, he's thrown at the screen and shatters it.
That is a tease for the only thing that could be a Series Finale: Simpsons Movie 2.
The whole movie is made to be a big parody/satire of The Truman Show, showing Bart trying to break free from the set he was imprisoned on for 36 years of his life. And in the final scene, Connan realizes the legacy of cashgrabbing he left behind and let's Bart through the door out the set, revealing all the voice actors on the other side.
The VA's thank us for being such an influential part of the show on it's ups and it's lows, it's failures and triumphs, and just the legacy that The Simpsons always was and will be.
The voice actors say their final goodbyes by singing the words who started and will now end an era: Theee Siiiimpsoooons!

The simpsons should end where it began -- the entire series being a lead up to Simpons Roasting on an Open Fire, but exclude the bit about "satan's" little helper.

I honestly really like the idea of making the final episode loop back to the first one.
The fake series finale made me realize how weird it feels to see the Simpsons change and develop as characters. Homer just isn't Homer if he doesn't strange Bart ykwim? So why not lean into it.

Personally I don’t believe for a second that The Simpsons is over because let’s be honest it will never go away. I’ll bet there are more episodes coming eventually.

There is no way to end the show in a good way. They will use ai to continue the show when all the writers and actors die
