I've got a 1 1/2" engine guard on my 2013 48. Know the mounting would not be a simple bolt on, since the placement overlaps. Some have said a dremel tool could be used to make room for where the bar would conflict. Just haven't bothered to look into it more. Since not a dremel tool user, and not sure what it would do structurally to the chin spoiler. Love the engine guard and it has saved me twice in a Hotel parking garage were the wet ramp caused me rear tire to slide out. Engine guard paid for itself. Thanks.
We have never tried that. Unlike the foreign made (including the HD brand) plastic/ABS units, this one is of a strong Urethane material. I would not be worried about some dremel work on it sacrificing the integrity. However, with that said, we have Not tried it.
Theoretically the push the air under and around the bike, making for less drag and a more stable ride. Can't say that I have ever heard anyone say that they could feel the improvement...most who install it do so for looks, smoothing out the lines of the bike.
M8 Softails have that humongous oil cooler and a chin spoiler, even with the screen, would block too much air flow to that cooler. Thanks for checking.
Thread locker? Is that the place on the boat to stow your clothes? No? Oh, never mind! I didn't have my hearing aids in! Ha! Yeah, blue (medium) saves the day. Good stuff D!
@@DKCustomProducts Could also open up the current oil tank space for a tool roll or other stuff. I am not sure though if having the tank low is a good idea. I wonder if oil from an oil cooler would drain down into a low tank overfilling the tank.
That’s one of the first things I bought from DK for my sporty.
Totally makes the front look “complete”
Very cool, appreciate your business, and glad you are liking it! 👍
Very nice looking product, you guys @ D K Customs do great work on all your products
Thanks man, appreciate that. 👍
Great visual improvement!
Yes, like Dwayne said, many folks think it should come with a spoiler from the factory.

Besides the look that I like does it help high speed ( over 100 ) ?
I see drag bikes running them & was wondering the pro’s or cons

But would it fit the 18'-21' LowRiderS... does the bolt pattern match up
@@Klove89blues We have never tried it, so cannot say if it would fit or not.
Awesome brother 🤘
Thanks ✌️

If that was an oil tank I would be interested.
Yeah, that would be a great mod! 👍

@@johnmitchell9705 All interesting thoughts. Thank you.
Quick Question... ever gona sheet rock them walls ? Would help with your heat bill since Biden made sure heating oil went up in price.
Man, I would like to, and may someday. But this is the bike room in my driveway. Our shop, where we spend the majority of our time is well insulated.
👍👍
Thanks. 👍
