The way of your teaching style is superb sir ....its easy to understand In a short time you explain a lots I watch your all video and cleared my exam ....thank you so much
One little observation you will get errors if you swing the vessel too quickly because of gauging of the soft iron structure of the vessel. Swing should take a bit more than 45min. Can I ask you if you have any thing about finding coefficients a, b , c, d and e please. Thanks once again for the dedication.
@@SteeringMariners there is very limited information around, did find a couple of videos explaining it magmatism but it skipped the part of finding the coefficients. If you need I can forward them to you.
Very nice video sir. I have a doubt sir. The heading 000 you referred it to as course in the deviation card. Is it gyro heading or compass heading? Sometimes this is mentioned as heading or course or compass in the deviation card. Why I'm asking is while calculating compass error onboard we take deviation against its compass heading from the deviation card.
I have the same doubt as you do. And from what I understand after watching the video, is that the course/heading on the deviation card corresponds to the Gyro Heading that the ship was making at the time of swinging the vessel to make the deviation card. So, in order to get Deviation for compass/gyro error calculation on board, you would get the Deviation value that corresponds to the Gyro Heading that your vessel is making at the time of your calculation.
And how do we do if there are no objects at all like while drifting out at sea. Bcoz we have done using only heading gyro and compass. Is it correct sir
Thanks alot Sir, well understood , keep making video

Excellent!!

Thank you. Working on the coefficients but not confident enough to make a video yet. In near future, hopefully:)

Normall magnetic compass

That heading shown on card is magnetic course know ,am i correct
