When PvE/dedicated players giving base advise for the PvP community.... literally raided bases on 70% of these areas without major effort.
Ratchet I guess we need more info. How are you raiding these location? Was your raid pre or post turret limit patch? This video post was pre turret limit patch and pre stego tanks
turret limit means nothing, all good pvp players know exactly how to bypass this, also these spots are terrible THEY ARE NOT FLAT you are having to build pillar bases on these and those are insanely easy to raid.

These spots are no good for pvp especially caves you will get meshed!!! Also never build near water especially glitchberg so easy to ram a raft through

Thanks for number 16, it's a wonderful area to retreat to, get you bearings and get back into the swing of things. 10 different tribes had tried to raid me yesterday and lucky number eleven came victorious, so, tamed a pteradon and flew right over

There is a problem with one of the icebergs. I think it was the second or third you showed of. A big official tribe did build there and got half of their base blown up by two persons who glitched themselfs into the ice.
I’m actually built in the number 1 spot and it’s great. I behemoth gated all the way around and have even got to a point where I’m building bridges to the other glaciers.
U forgot about quetz gasbag soaking being able to soak literally almost every one of these spots with ease

Currently building on number 5. Most of my dinos are flyers so works well and you can build the whole way around the rocks.

For the number 1 spot, how do you stop people from making a turret boat with a door on it, going up to your gate perimeter and just placing c4 on it and then blowing it and absolutely annihilating your Dino’s with their turrets? Similar for any of the island locations really.

I've built in stone hedge many times and my most common issue is not enough room for dinos and I usually cover up the water and still no room unless you have resources for cryo's

Wherever you build, your mega tribe 10000 turret base will be wiped by a singular stego
Bob Hutar there are spots where you cant drive a stego. Additionally there are ways to build your base so stegos cant be dropped on it. I have seen very nice thick saftey net base builds on official.
Alcarin Dacil Stegos will always find a way to destroy anything. Besides that, I'll probably end up using one of these spots on official because of my love for the island. You have any clue which would be the best for having decent defense, big enough base for about 6, bit of each resource nearby, and can store a few gigas, rexes, and whatever else? Friends are dumb and get things killed going too far, and won't do anything.

1 question. Where is Herb island. It's a really good spot it has wood and stone access and also metal. Every time I start off that's where I go. Just a suggestions. If you find it not good plz tell me why.

I liked the video but you didn't take into account that nature can be a big help. We build in the swamp. Not much hight advantage but it's a very awesome area to build up in because there are lots of natural rockfaces to build up against and people are scared of the shit that spawns there.

TBH from a top end PVP perspective I dont think nature is much of a threat.I think as you get towards end game peeps just steam roll the swamp environment.
works on no tame, the end game players become really weak with PVE because they depend on rafts too much for safety, they go around recruiting noobs and then a noob is raised from level 1 - 60 never leaving the safety of the raft and they end up with an army of worthless raft bred players who have no inland survival skills, generally they run around naked with the raft nearby. working the swamp if anything makes you really aware and practiced at PVE and PVP at the same time when you do get the odd encounter, but yea your right, alpha tribes the swamp will not stop them, but mostly its delta and beta tribes you have to worry about. the player base of no tame is young and immature, there is no alpha because they are constantly chest banging and epeening to each other to network more than 3 friends from COD.
Greaselump so true I park my boat there when I’m not around. Even if another boat did come to raid me the second they step outside the snakes attack
@Tom thumb welcome to being in a mega tribe. When you get fed up enough try you and your son going duo's or find some trusty friends. Try out new stuff, it'll keep the game fun.
I started building a base on number 5 yesterday
Can you please do one for rag. This was awesome. ive had this game since like a month or two after release on xbox and STILL found new bases from this video. Yes, i knew the locations, but no, i never took in account of the practicality.

Please make a video on top 5 pvp base locations but this time show examples of how you could build there and actually put a base design there so people have an idea of size and how to build correctly on the base location. Oh and by the way please have a look at west zone mountain near the snow biome merge as I think it's a great location. Keep up good work and hope you could maybe make another video on this on future
That west zone mountain is great. Real steep so most wild dinos can't come up it, and most players just go around it. As long as you don't cut down your tree cover, you're golden
We made the mistake of setting up turrets, and another player flying over got shot. He immediately called out our coordinates in the chat, and we lasted about an hour after that...
5 has metall. If you cross the tiny island and go up the next hill, there are some metall rocks. They won't be enough for endgame tho.

X6 in cave and the snow ice berg iz bad unless you got whght argy
The alpha tribe live at 18 but they have covered it with pegos and Rexss gigas and they left a sign outside our base saying “ we will raid you-alpha tribe”

just saying there's a reason alphas are almost always built there. since they are both islands they are not as easily accessible to dinos and if done right it's extremely difficult to get bronto's over for soaking. They are both also good size Islands that are capable of holding large amounts of dinos far beyond Dino cap. I was built on carno twice, once as beta and once as alpha and it's a great spot for resources. You have metal mountain and obsidian right there for metal and you have the underwater cave directly behind carno for pearls. All you have to do is completely vault and spike off the entire island you're building on and add an insane amount of turrets and it's gg

I personally would not recommend building on an ice berg because someone can use a squid to take all of your tames off and into the water by putting it's tentacles through the ground, I don't know if that has been patched though
How far up do the tentacles go? Most I have seen that build on the iceberg build waaaaup high on a tower with tons of turrets. Wouldn't the turrets shoot down the squid?

They talk about getting recourses like metal wood stone water access height advantage and whatever has the least amount of ground choke points....so why don't you just live on redwood trees.
I just joined a pvp server and we have a tribe of 4 lv 9-12 people. So when we get enough resources to make a nice base I will certainly use one of these spots

Herb, carno, hidden lake, and across from redwood? Herb and carno especially if your a big tribe who can lock it down with squids gigas and broncos don't stand a chance in a swim.

For #6 you can jump into the water if your base is infiltrated.
Im not trying to sound mean but do you guys play ark at all because some are not good like snow you got to be at least lvl 40 or higher to get anuff heat and some are like how one rocket to that part of the base boom it gone so sorry but it not so good
blue jay gaming Were talking about end game pvp. Lvl 40 isnt tough to get on official. I have seen videos of peeps lvl capping in 2 to 3 hours on official. The cold can work to your advantage in a pvp situation. It helps prevent naked raiders. The fact that they have to bring fur armor every death is huge. Please explian the rocket situation in more detail.

Number 8 is totally useless, because most of its surface building is blocked, maybe cause of beacon
I know there was a focus around building up higher, but it’s stupid easy to lose any Dino advantage you may have by someone kiting them off the cliffs next to it.

I know this is old but some of the locations are unsuitable for PvP and i think you could have put more effort into talking about pros and cons and resource locations

Then this tiny child kept bothering us, he wasn’t in our tribe either,(every time me and my tribe mate were in a party he would join and we’d be talking about an egg or something and he’d be like “can I have it”)

In my opinion the herbivore island is the best location. A lot of metal, easy to defend.
At official rates..herb island is too ez to get big dinos in to raid. It takes more resources to defende

number 1 base bring turtles w c4 and 6-7 tuso with 140k hp and some mosa w 500% melee 60k HP for def rip turrets and bring the flyers to kill and enjoy looting
Does this still work with the turtle nerf? Players easily being shot off turtles?
Alcarin Dacil the turtles to blow up the gates and drain some bullets afters tusu cover them then the tuso's will drain the rest and mosa's to def tuso and keep them busy xD water war and if u have transmitter thats will be ooo 😂
I disagree with number 3 because if u want to build a decent base u will kill all of the metal spawns u should build ur base on the pillar next to it.

Too many snow locations u will freeze when building
well you just can make a pelt armor and that’s it
DO NOT build at 75 20 or 75 30 it's so open and yeah it has a lot of building space but if you use it it sticks out like a sore thumb I built here and got raided 6x in 2 days we are now moving
