This is the best homemade power hydraulic press I've ever seen, it works smooth and precise and doesn't have laud clicking sound. Why did you quit YouTubing? You make quality content you should continue. UA-cam won't grow your channel unless there is a continuous flow of content.
Nice work, it's a major time save using the shop press vs by hand, the press moves smooth and controlled, the work is repeatable quality with the new tooling. great idea and quality craftsmanship. Thanks for sharing your video.
I really enjoyed this video. There are a lot of videos where someone is showing off their press and all they do with it is squish a cylinder into a nice paperweight. Looking forward to seeing you make a V8 crankshaft. JK, but I know you could do it. I'm guessing you used the flat dies to form your piercing dies. I would love to be your neighbor, I would help you out every day after work. Have you seen the video of the boys in Oakland making Viking Bloom Steel? It would be cool if you could recycle some random scrap metal and form it into a usable shape (bar, rod, plate, etc.) I know that you used a tank track pin for an axe and that is cool.
Thanks, Its my second try on those die holders. Learned from my own mistakes. I talk about them in this video: ua-cam.com/video/IeH3gAGkeyE/v-deo.html The steel i use is W.Nr. 1.1730 (its Czech made steel, 19 083 in Czech numbers) Basic carbon tool steel, designed for woodworking tools.
Work smarter, not harder. Wicked set up! Thank you!

very cool tanks for sharing
I like your die holders, much more secure than the ones I made. What steel are you using for your axes?
