    I have a single basket air fryer, and I love it. They are so convenient, much quicker than waiting for an oven to heat up. They are great for cooking chicken, chips, in fact anything that you would normally roast in an oven. And the basket is easy to clean, what's not to like?
    Mine just has a manual temperature dial, and a manual timer, and no annoying beeps, so it is simple to use.

      @HooverLux Restorations Southern fried chicken is also delish. I buy the cook at home drumsticks and thighs occasionally, and the air fryer does them to a turn, so tasty. And you can cook them from frozen at 160°c for about 20-25 minutes.

      I’ve been dishwashing them since I’ve had them and that’s about 3 times a week on times. The only issue I have is the painted silver on the handles fading, but the rest has been fine.

    no need to spray oil on the chips and stakes. they have enough oil on them already.

  • @susanl9152
    @susanl9152 9 місяців тому +2

    I didn't know until I bought an air fryer myself, but they work the same as a standard convection oven. Exactly the same principle...heating element and fan. - Only different is it's smaller, so it can cook the food faster and therefore costs less to run than a standard convection oven.

    • @HooverLux
      @HooverLux  9 місяців тому +1

      Yeah, the claims of miracle savings of energy are a bit far fetched, but they are good for just cooking something small, I wouldn’t say they’re mega quick though.

    I brought a small airfryer one month ago I live alone and I've used it so much I paid £49:99in Robert days it was my early Christmas present for myself in fact I've only used my actual oven once since the day I brought it and I even treated myself to two different airfryer recipe books and both books have been used quite a bit

    I actually had one these units (T17088). I thought it was utter garbage. The control panel icons were far too small (I prefer words as opposed to little pictures). Never really got used to using it. I found the bins to be rather small. When using the panel, if nothing is pressed after a time, the bin number would stop flashing and so you'd have to start all over again. Maybe getting rid of the TOWER metallic band on the front and making the control panel bigger (with words) would definitely help. On the plus side, the unit is well made, sturdy and quiet. With regard to using power. Air fryers use less leccy because 1. The space to heat up in the fryer is significantly smaller than any conventional oven. 2. Once the set temperature is reached the unit will power down somewhat due to being thermostatically controlled. So the temperature will fluctuate to keep optimum efficiency. This unit is available on Amazon for £119 or £91.80 second hand. I don't need a 2 drawer unit as I have 2 Cosori units (xxl 5.5l and dual blaze 6.4l)

      The only issue I have with mine is you can’t increase the temp past 200, whereas the Nija is 220°c

      Normal oven, hob, real fryer and knowing how to cook.....food can be done in 1/4 of the time of one of these and have much better flavour.
      This new fad seems to be for convenience and those that cant cook very well. It does serve a purpose in that respect but when your used to creating real food professionally you can make much better tasting meals much faster than these do.

    That's strange advising not to use liquids because it is recommended to pop a small amount of water at the bootom if you're cooking fatty foods like chops or bacon. Also BTW it's not recommended to use spray oil in an air fryer, they say fill an oil sprayer with neat olive oil or equivelant. And always shake the "Chippies" halfway through 🙂

    • @HooverLux
      @HooverLux  Рік тому

      I think the Ninja one does recommend the water and solution. I’ve been spaying fry lite in it since I’ve had it and I’ve had absolutely no issues with the drawers, I did wash them Everytime and the only issue I’ve had is some of the fake silver coating on the handles has worn a bit.
