If you dont agree with Marvin Hemyers sentiments. You dont know the entire story behind it. He didnt bulldoxe sny buikdings that had snyone in it. He did it when the businesses were closed. Reguardless the owners of those buildings along with the local government destroyed his life. He was just giving them back what they gave out. Just alot faster. It happened in 2004
As a farmer of the 70’s and 80’s before the garbage they sell today, I had a manual of parts and setup / operating procedures for every piece of equipment. I would set and study them in the evening before bed.
At the end, you talk about calling the company and asking for a manual. I bought an older wood chipper and needed to repair something. Called Morbark, gave them the serial #, and boom, had a paper manual within a few days. Saved so much hastle. Gave the lenght of hyraulic hoses, everything.
I remember the 580 CK started easy because the CASE built engine had the starter closer to the battery. The newer model 580-C had the battery under the front loader control lever, on the other side of the engine. I remember it was Harder starting with a longer cable from battery to starter. I own a 1978 Dynahoe My favorite Backhoe of the 1970s My standard digging depth is 19 feet. The 580 extended how was 16. I started on my dad's lap backfilling with a 580 CK.
In WWII in Russia, the Germans would drain the oil out of all their tanks but one. They left it on all night in case they needed it . For the others, they put all the oil in heated tents, (it got to minus 60 F sometimes), and put it back in the tanks in the morning and started them all up.
Pipeling and Alaska 1 gallon to 55 gallons of diesel. During winter i will add a cup of gas to a tank for my d4 dozer. Its night and day and its a great anti gel. The best is plumbing in a heater for the water. Glade i found your new channel sorry about the div. Almost married myself writting on the wall been through its not my kid and that was an eye opener. Glade you survived. Can you make more vids on 7.3 power stroke i have a 95 done everything so far starts engine light and it de comps in the motor.
I live a few hourss south from Catepillar in pekin illinois. They haul those dozers with no blade on them. I want to say they don't even have a cab either?
It was a publicity stunt. Whistling teapot or whatever he calls himself. Drove it through Granby Colorado on the way to where ever he’s from. 12:00 it was 2004
Ive noticed that too. My only guess is that video quality has improved so much in that time the videos seem much older. In 04 we really didnt even have smart phones yet. Maybe blackberry curve, og moto Q or the palm phones but no smart phone as we know them today.
I know a lot of people do not like Cody but if they have Been watching him for a while they will understand like I do that he created a brand for himself he figured out how to make the market work for him which is UA-cam and he turned it into a financial income and the more people that get irritated and hate him for destroying s*** the more he prophets from it that to me I think that is pure genius I mean isn't that something we are all set out to do in this life and the way he handled the situation when his neighbors robbed him he actually dropped the charges and he gave the money because they were crying poverty I just think there's more to Cody than people actually realize that's all
You are correct. It is considered a reduce-able load. If the size or weight can be reduced you have to reduce it. It is very common to have to remove the blade, rippers and ROPS
I didn't remember Marvin Hemyers name, but I did watch a video about it. I would say the town got part of what it deserved, but deserved more. I never knew what kind of bulldozer was used. I suspect more like that will have to happen in the future. I have wondered why his bulldozer quit on him. I wonder if it overheated. He pushed it awful fast and hard when he rammed the dude with the earthmover. Then he did a little more work and it laid down on him. I wonder if it overheated from maybe not having enough cooling capacity with all the armor in place? Or did something mechanical give way?
AMEN! Being able to stand back and actually see what you’ve accomplished is what I love about being in the welding business. Can’t imagine how miserable it would be to sit in a cubicle all day creating paper and email trails, having to have a gym membership just to get some exercise.
I was going to mention Mr Marv and the Colorado incident but you beat me to it that was the first thing that came to my mind when I saw the title of this video I'm old enough to remember watching that on the news in California but there's an interesting documentary on it that's out now called tread if you haven't seen it should check it out
My understanding from when a Cat D9 was bought by Diesel Creek, the blade was too wide and the weight on the tiny part of the tips of the rippers was too much for the material strength of the trailer bed.
I apologize if it upsets you. I made these reviews videos when rain keeps me from working. I figure it's better then sitting around doing nothing. I'll have more mechanic videos then reviews so I hope you'll be patient. Thank you for watching!
@@StephenCox. I've enjoyed these latest two reaction videos. And you brought me out of the woodwork. It's quite an accomplishment, actually. I suspect it hasn't hurt your viewer statistics, either. Thumbs up. 👍👍
@@StephenCox. I actually enjoyed the reaction videos from you. Ive followed you since you and Chuckie Duckie were messin with his old tractors, too bad he wont get back into youtube like he was.

We had a Case 580 E that we lit a fire under it to start it when it was cold out. Small fire in a metal bucket.

The whole Marvin thing was only 2004 so nearly 20 years ago now.

Why would he go armor it 😂
He already owns a battle tank 😆

Whistlin Diesel sure is entertaining, 😉
He has so many followers it’s insane.
Side note, the video playing in the background is "tread". It can be watched on this platform.
You're the only person that's caught that so far

With the blade attached I believe it's too wide to be transported.

He got stuck on a basement/foundation but was leaking coolant beforehand.

Pretty sure the government didn't care.
Any idea or guesses on what this machine would cost? Always a great video Stephen thanks buddy, cheers
They normally go for $100,000-$150,000.

Komatsu D35 or Komatsu D355? You've used both numbers.
