That 'server is overloaded' message happened to one of my friends the other day.
Not sure if it has been mentioned yet but.. the way to fix it (or at least it worked for them) is to click one of the other buttons, statistics or spectator mode, then switch back to select your vehicle and it should let you spawn the one you want.
I missed the notification for this one somehow. Really glad it didn't get lost in my feed. I also completely missed the event going on, I really need to pay attention lol
You still have over a week for the event;)

2:08 It has a bomb bay where he Can hide his bombs and despite being a dive/torpedoe bomber it can win turfight against things like Spitfire thanks to its flaps and 20mm in the front
you should try it one day either in naval to Torp (and probably die or kamikaze because of AA) or in ground battle to trick ennemy fighters
If it can carry torpedos , maybe I will use it in naval some day ;)

It happened to me too, apparently sometimes war thunder doesn't like ur vehicle choice, so he makes the server overload to u pick a different tank. Happened when I wanted to use my su152, seems like it happens to the derp tonks
