Great honest channel. You'll get there. You sound like a good guy. Providing decent cars, making a pound or two, and not looking to rip anyone off in the process. 👍
That would break my heart as a business having all that £££ sitting about that could be making me £££ so I feel your pain, a few good cars in there too. Hopefully get another mechanic in soon as get the cars moving, good luck, love your videos as it's down to earth,as it is, not hyped up stuff for likes etc, keep it up! 👍
Really informative and great vid dude, I work in a garage and it's so difficult to explain to customers when their car will be done when there's 50+ other cars waiting for parts, recoveries, extra mot fails etc. And then you get through those and another lot just turns up! Hopefully you get it sorted in time
It’s far too easy to fall into that hole when it comes to older stock and the problems they bring. Backlog slips away from you and next thing you know you’re 30 cars deep, stagnant stock and frozen capital. Messy but I’m very sure you’ll pull clear of it quickly. What about a flash trade sale on the long finger stuff. Cut your losses, hire a new mechanic and move on. Great channel by the way. Love the content. Very honest about life in the motor trade. 👍
Given the cost of parts and labour, complexity of modern cars and unrealistic expectations of people I don't think there's much point in retailing older stuff.
