    Bart can you make a video demonstrating the use of a VESC controller module on your CNC Board? I would like to use a big skateboard BLDC for my spindle motor controlled by a VESC that my 6 Pack CNC Board can communicate to.

    I actually left a comment on the issues of the github page.. but of course a day later you post this.
    So I have the AMB (formerly Kress) 1400 DI spindle.. I'm seriously looking at using the 6pack as I have been having issues with my XPro v4.. most notably the spindle speed revs up and down constantly at any speed other than full at 10v on the PWM pin.. The question I asked there, and will ask here, is how did you wire up your spindle, 0-10 goes to PWM, one goes to ground, but there is a third wire that needs to be connected to a 10 to 26V output terminal... I did not notice that option on the PWM module..

    Fantastic work! I just had an AHA moment when I realized that FluidNC is essentially, grbl for and ESP32, yeah I'm a little slow on the uptake. This means that can still use bCNC as a gcode sender for to your hardware, yes? I use Fusion 360 for CAM, how does one designate M6 tool changes in CAM? Sorry, I'm new to this game, but I sure want to setup an ATC like this one very soon!

    • @engserve
      @engserve  11 місяців тому +1

      Most CAM programs like like Fusion will do it automatically if if sees a different tool number.
      I don't use Fusion 360 CAM, but many others do with ATCs. Search the Internet for info on that.

    Is this limited to step/direction or could some axis use Clearpath SC (software control) motors?

    • @engserve
      @engserve  3 роки тому +1

      We support a lot of motor types. A hybrid of closed loop step/dir control with feedback would be the easiest way to use that type of motor.

    Hi Bart, Is there any further documentation re integrating/modding the atc.cpp? Im using several of your 6pack controllers for some smaller 5axis machines I use for gluing/gasketing my product. I'm migrating my machining mill to the 6 pack as well when I upgrade the spindle/drive. I'll be using a Jainken JGL series atc driven by a Hitachi WJ200. I only plan to use a manual tool changes as I don't have a tool rack yet. The spindle has a specific tool change air cycle (release, dust off, engage) along with an internal pressure switch. Any further elaboration or direction how to implement this on the 6 pack would be appreciated.

    I was amazed tho over how low the noise level is on your stepper motors. It sounds super smooth. Is this due to your controller? Can you tell me something about that?

    • @engserve
      @engserve  2 роки тому +1

      It used a 6 pack controller and TMC5160 stepper drivers.
