i guess Im kind of off topic but does anyone know a good place to stream new movies online?
@Dawson Kevin Flixportal xD
@Israel Anthony thank you, I went there and it seems to work =) Appreciate it!!
It looks like Super Mario Bros. 3 and Super Mario World had a child, and it was raised by Luigi.
"That's Mama Luigi to you Mario!"
omg yes.
Punny, aint it?
nice joke mama
The Green Dragon 53 If i could remake this game it would be a Mario game
"And Learning Nothing about Geography" I am DYING

This is one of the few hacks that cares about having a level design that welcomes casual players.
Which is nice since Mario World isn't my strong point.
+NovaWare You just mean "Decent" level design. Anyone can design levels that are hard as balls, balance and progression are where true skill is on display.
This is a FANTASTIC game, but story-wise, it was an odd choice to have Luigi kill Bowser, then immediately go on to his fight with Bowser. Usually when one kills another, they don't have to do it again right after. 2nd times the charm tho, & then Luigi gets his prize: Kissing his brother. Hmmm...
There must've been some political cues that I totally missed.
NovaWare yep
Goofdookie Can you just not speak? This is just design that allows casual players to properly enjoy the game. It's not just "Decent". You might see design like this in a normal mario game, you kaizo-only Asshat.
59:43 That timing with the star and the palace theme was just right.
That's Mama luigi to you Mario
YOU WIN!
(Steven Hawkins voice)
PERFECT.
El tío Braixen I hope she made a lot of spaghetti!
Mama? Mama Luigi!? HAAHAAHAAHAAHAAHAAHAAHAAHAAAAAAAAA!!!
*WHEEZE*
El tío Braixen R.I.P Tony Rosatto (voice of Mama Luigi) :'(
Great level design, nice custom npcs, awesome difficulty peak, neat concept, great graphics, and horrible bosses. A cool throwback to SMB3.
9\10.
What was the point of fighting the Koopalings if you can't even touch them and lose a powerup or life?
Like I said, horrible bosses. Really a shame.
Oh! Yes!
I would almost guess the bad bosses is to make fun of Mario is Missing... course that kinda defeats the purpose of the "good version" concept, but oh well.
One more thing: an INCREDIBLE soundtrack.
This was only about a million times better than that piece of trash lame excuse for a game mario is missing that I played in the mid 90's on my SNES. I would've been hooked on this. Good job.
cougarfighting soooooo true
It is so good, yep!
They should make Zelda hacks called Link: The Faces of Evil/Zelda: The Wand of Gamelon - Done Right.
But it would just be some hack of Link To The Past with no references to Faces of Evil or Wand of Gamelon, except maybe a sarcastic message at the end.
I’m all for this, but if they get rid of Morshu I’m rioting
it would need zelda 2 game play
I feel like it should be done in somewhat of a 64 format
The best thing i usually like about mario world hacks are the choice of music. This one did not disappoint
Thanks Square
Looks like a fun game, lots of attention to detail, beautiful graphics, the best part is how it slowly translated from one type of world to the other like you'd see in the real world instead of an abrupt change. Like how the first level of world 3 was a beachy desert and how world 6 and world 7 was a gradual transition from cloud world to ice world to lava world. Reminded me of how in Kirby's Adventure, Orange Ocean 5 was a beach/water level with ice-themes, Orange Ocean 6 was a winter level with water, and it transitoned perfectly to Rainbow Resort.
I bet if Mario's Time Machine was done right, It would be something like this:
Bowser would go back in time to stop the Mario Bros. from going to the Mushroom Kingdom in the first place.
However, this puts the Mario Bros.' current present in jeapordy. And so using Dr. Egadd's very own time machine, they go back to certain parts of the past and try to put a stop to Bowser's plan.
Hey, you be nice!
I was only trying to make a suggestion.
You can do what he described and have it be educational.
Though I'd alter it so that Bowser does change the past, but somehow Dr. Egad is uneffected (due to being in his time machine at the time). So he goes and finds Mario in the real world. He'd at least have all the powers from SMB1 and possibly Donkey Kong 94.
Maybe Luigi can be with Egad, and you play as him at first to go get Mario.
From there, Bowser does other stuff--stopping Mario was just a way to make sure Mario didn't stop him.
Isn't there already a game about that? I think it's called Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time
SploderX Except that the plot was something totally different.
Also you need to learn how to speak proper English, and learn how to make better insults, so maybe the educational Mario games would be good for morons like you...
Wow, whoever made this really put a lot of effort in. The level design is polished, the music (though a lot is from other games) is nice to hear and fits pretty well, and the custom sprites were very well done. Would definitely love to play this on SNES or something. ^_^
I love how this hack combines the sprites from Super Mario Bros. 3 and Super Mario World and uses the music from Super Mario 2 (in some stages) and Super Mario RPG. If we got a similar "Mario is Missing" close to the level of this, it would've been ten times better for sure.
Not to undermine this hack, I'm sure it's excellent, but I'm just a bit disappointed Luigi's not platforming through real world locations like some sort of 2D New Donk City.
Luigi in Detroit where he has to dodge real bullets while learning about rise and fall of the city.
S3K Stage I was thinking the same, none of the music either from the game it's supposed to be doing right. The hack is good don't get me wrong but remove the connection to Mario is missing and it just ends up being another glorified replace Mario with Luigi ROM hack.
GregLH0. Love it 😂😂😂
Let's just say Luigi never shoulda gone to the real world...where he and Mario (theoretically) were just plumbers.
Well I am a kid at heart! :)
This is a beautiful ROM hack. Good, casual-difficulty level design, beautiful aesthetically, beautiful design all around (sprites, backgrounds, levels, maps, etc.), great and very appropriate music choices to match the levels. One of my favorite hacks that I've seen.
0:36 Super Mario RPG - The Road is Full of Dangers
6:14 Super Mario RPG - Still, The Road is Full of Dangers
8:35 Paper Mario - Shy Guy's Toybox
12:28 SMRPG - Let's Go Down The Wine River
16:51 Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga - Come On Again
37:38 Sonic 3 and Knuckles - File Select
39:21 Mario Kart 64 - Koopa Troopa Beach
48:05 Donkey Kong Land - Kremlantis
1:29:41 Sonic and Knuckles - Lava Reef Act 2 and Hidden Palace Zone
2:25:51 New Super Mario Bros. Wii - Castle
2:27:28 Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga - Bowser's Castle
This game is gorgeous. All new level designs. All new enemies. All new music. Clever hidden puzzles and easter eggs. I love the throwback end of level jump on the flag, so cool. This is a true unofficial sequel to SMW. I had a good time playing it and highly recommend.
0/10 No geography lessons
Green 6017 That's Nice
Boo! Geography is crap!
andy lee Guys this is a joke!, Please get it!
Gavin says: never mind Geography lessons this is all about fun at Koopas expense!!!!
And..... idc lol
This is SMW? Are we totally sure its not really SMB3?
10/10
Korina its a mix
A hodgepodge of everything good. Other than that, there is one thing that bums me out. That is how easy the Koopalings look to beat.
holy cow, the graphics, music, difficulty curve, level design, everything is amazing.
Wow, this is impressive :o
Excellent selection of songs for the soundtrack too
A hack? I knew I wasn't trippin when I heard the Hilltop Zone and music from Mario Bros WII. Good job....goooood job.
Now that is how it always should've been!!!!! I love it! Love the music, sprites, HD quality, design, and especially the little pose Luigi does at the end of every level! It's funny how people can out- Nintendo Nintendo!
0:00:00 - Intro/Grassy Hills
0:17:17 - Desert Dunes
0:37:29 - Shoreline Island
0:56:26 - Tropical Rainforest
This is a good hack but I wouldn't say this is MiM "Done Right" if it's just a regular Mario Romhack but you play as Luigi.
It'd be like making "Halo Wars Done Right" and it's an FPS with an original campaign.
Chdonga i think the joke here is that this one is actually a mario game and not a geography class :v
Woulda have been cooler if the levels looked like the places from the game though, not generic levels in every mario game. Wasted potential.
Excellent music choice for 'Pokey Means Business.' Bloody Tears from Castlevania II sounds REALLY unique and applicable here. Thanks for the upload =)
somebody should give this guy a job at nintendo
It was awesome seeing Yoshi. I thought he was not going to be here, also, love the music used from other games- Zelda, Castelvania, SMB2, etc.
If only this was the game I rented as a kid and not that bullshit original.
Yet you scream on 4Chan for people to get 'educated', but hate to *be* educated. Hypocrisy at its finest. xD
Lol, no hypocrisy here. I never been on 4Chan or at least scream at anyone on there. Also I don't "hate to be educated." However, I was 4 or 5 years old when Mario is Missing for SNES was rented for me. I had already played Super Mario Bros. 1-3, Super Mario World, and Super Mario Kart. That being said, even I knew at that age how terribly wrong it was that there was no platforming, no power-ups, no way to die, or any challenge other than point A to point B collecting artifacts and trivia. Honestly, I didn't have the interest or attention span for any of that at the time. I did play educational games too and some I decently enjoyed, but I never thought "Hey, this Mario game would be much better if it was educational and didn't have anything I like about the games in it."
you can lie to yourself and everyone else on here, but I call bullshark.
Sure, whatever works best for you. Clearly, anything I say will just trigger you. I do hope the real world isn't this difficult for you interact with. I have no idea why you have to act like this, but if it makes you happy, I guess that's what counts.
That's _cute_. *Pats yer head.*
This looks like one of he best rom hacks I've ever seen! So clean!!!
I applaud the creator and you - you both have my gratitude for this wonderful performance - Thnak You :D
Amazing rom hack. Nice graphics, game play, music, difficulty, and feel. I also like your other backs as well, like the 100 enemie room or a Goomba walk
the music in the castles Is so great. Excellent job!! this is one of the best mario hacks that I' ve seen recently... what about a second part???
It feels so much like a real Mario game. I wish it wasn't just a romhack. I love how this game perfectly encapsulates standard order of "sorting algorithm of threatening geography" that every Mario game does for real added authenticity. The first world is grasslands and forests, kind of equivalent to Sonic games with "Green Hill Zone". Then there's the desert world because a desert is a _little_ more threatening than a forest or meadow, but still similar, then a water world, a jungle world, then mountains, then in the clouds, then a mix of snow world and lava/castle world. I think the last level of world 6 and the first of world 7 are the only true "winter wonderland" levels in the game.
Very nice romhack, very good level design, great choice of music, but it has literally nothing to do with Mario is Missing. You could've at least made the levels (even just some of them) be places that you go to in MiM. This is just a (admittedly very well done) romhack where you play as Luigi instead of Mario and rescue Mario instead of Peach/Toadstool.
You might as well call it Luigi's Mansion. It has about as much in common with that as it does with MiM. The romhack itself is very good, but the name does not fit at all.
Absolutely fantastic. Unless you had been told you'd think it was an official SNES release
It's like some beautiful hybrid of SM3 and SMW. Wow.
Downloaded for later, this looks fantastic.
Kinda shitty to call this “Mario Is Missing Done Right” when other than the vague “Save Mario as Luigi” plot, it based not a single other thing on the game its said to be improving upon. This isn’t “Mario Is Missing Done Right”, it’s just a generic ROM-hack fangame with a misleading title. At the very least, it should have had worlds based on the locations you visit in the original game, as well as use its music. The music was the one flawless part of the original. And from there, one could combine the idea of platforming with some creative educational puzzles to solve. I’m picturing something like Super Paper Mario. If you’re not gonna try to make Mario Is Missing into a better game, then don’t say you are.
I completely agree. Way too many creative liberties ended up taken up, so this is as much as a mediocre hack, except glorified.
The original game was ass tho
its still better than playing some janky-ass educational game
@Kæðr I agree.
Well, i guess you just can't satisfy some people..
19:15 EarthBound reference 10/10
Make sense since the Pokey are actually sharing the same name from mistranslation of Porky (Pokey in U.S version of Mother 2/EarthBound)
I played this one through and loved it. Thanks for sharing
Why is this incredibly well crafted and charming, and also only the 2nd rom hack I've ever seen properly reimplement goombas
beautiful rom hack... I am going to go download it now... Saria's Theme, too... Nice pick!
This is a really good game, I'm actually pretty blown away by it. It shows a lot of creativity, too. Thanks for sharing.
creativity hehe
Aaaaaaaaa. Looks so fun... subscribed. Keep making videos
Whoever did this hack, please get hired by Nintendo!!
Gavin says: they have done a fantastic job so yeah hire them now!!!!!
NINTENDO, HIRE THIS MAN

Thanks for the link, this hack looks amazing!
custom sprites are amazing. loved seeing mario land enemies mixed in there. level design is decent and fair, but I thought you could've expanded on some of your better ideas (more fire and ice, more hidden pyramids with a spinx boss perhaps). Loved your beach world and fire and ice stages. Bosses need work though. Also needs a different kind of power up halfway through the game for more progression. Loved your new takes on the hammer bros. (snow bros., bullet bros, bomb bros, etc). A hidden warp zone for an 8th world, or some kinda unlockable if you get all the star coins in each level would be a nice bonus. But overall good job.
The music to this whole game is amazing.
what an awesome hack, i love how it works under World but has elements from SmB 3 from the all stars and adds the Flag ending Smb 1 and 2 style.
Dang, this hack is filled to the brim with awesomeness!
Men! the work in the music is sick!
This looks amazing!
Struggled so hard on that para beetle stage and the final stage in my let's play... But really love yout channel... Hope u don't mind that i took some inspiration on what to play 😅greetings from a german smw fan and player
It's awesome! Fire and Ice world gave me chills.
I love the use of SMRPG tracks.
This is definitely a good hack... but there's one thing I feel is a missed opportunity, since I've also dabbled withe "Good Mario is Missing" idea. I feel it would be really cool to make the worlds and levels based off the real world. That was the one takeaway from Mario is Missing that I feel could be neat. Is basically SMW levels based around things like the Great Wall, Mt. Everset, Pyramid of Giza, Amazon Rainforest, Rocky Mountains, and so on. Super Mario Land did something similar, but was too short and limited, making a hack of this could fully realize that nifty idea. Without that, as good as this is, it might as just be "Luigi's Adventure" or something. But hey, I don't make hacks so I guess I shouldn't complain too much about not getting what I want.
This looks fantastic!
Everything is so appealing to the eyes. I think I'll play it.
Excellent game, and soundtrack!
Buzzsaw bridge sounds like something from a silent film comedy. I just see see random mushroom police packing themselves into a car much too small for all of them and bumbling and stumbling to catch bowser. I like how you made the Lemmy fight some what challenging. And Bowser is hiding in Iceland? Because that's what it looks like, Iceland is both cold and geologically active. I'm surprised you didn't use the Marble Zone theme for any of the last levels. Gotta love all of the musical tracks though, well done.
7:56 This is from Super Mario Land 2 The Six Golden Coins.
NICE cover of 'Bloody Tears' in world 2!!
Wow! Another fantastic Mario game.
bruhhh those mario rpg tracks and sound fx give me goosebumps
Love the stage designs
couldnt be a romhack without MUSIC CROSSOVERS...
Zachary Reid To be fair, There's some awesome music in this.
Yellow Switch Palace surprised with Music from Tomba! whereas everything before that was from Mario games.
TheSuckerOfTheWorld There was also a mix of Bloody Tears from Simon's Quest. I'm sure there are more crossovers, but I didn't watch the entire playthrough!
The first stage had Bonk music.
Does the minor key version of the intro come from anywhere? I assumed it was original.
ZipplyZane the music is from Mario RPG. it's a different snes game.
*Oh my God those custom Yoshi sprites are amazing*
OMG!!!! This hack is freakin AMAZING!!! I watched the first 20 minutes or so of the video and went and downloaded it. I'm in level 3 and I haven't felt cheated once. The controls are a little slick, which I think is because it's Luigi and not Mario, and you can't fly with the cape, but this is the best Mario Bros. game I've ever played that wasn't made by Nintendo. The custom music is perfect so far. Even the one song I was on the fence about had me noddin my head along after about 20 seconds. I seriously couldn't recommend this hack more, especially to those who grew up on the old SNES versions!!!
If this was Mario is Missing! "Done Right", then why aren't there any levels based on real-world locations? The original game wasn't what you'd call great, but at least it had that part going for it. This is just a generic Luigi platformer with nothing to do the game it's supposed to be based on. This might as well be called "Super Luigi World/Land/Adventure". If Gamma V _really_ wanted to "do it right", here's how it would go:
* The story would have Bowser capture Mario, while simultaneously attempting to invade various countries on the planet Earth. So it would be up to Luigi to save him while also stopping the Koopas from invading Earth.
* Gameplay and graphics would be just like Super Mario World, aside from the Earth setting.
* Levels based on real-world locations (New York City, Paris, Nairobi, Moscow, etc.)
* Boss battles against the Koopalings in their castles between each city.
* Since Mario is Missing! is supposed to be an edutainment game, have information blocks scattered throughout the level, with fun facts about the cities that the levels are set in.
That's exactly WHY people hated this game
Ugh, yes Mario is Missing is about education. However that's exactly WHY it is considered as a "meh" game. The plot involve Luigi saving his brother, having the first role for the first time but what a disappointment to see it's just an educationnal game instead of a main one. Even the hack mock this when you save Mario.
The hack is just trying to make a "parody" of the game if it was a main one while we have some references to the original (Snowy Bowser castle)
The title is just for fun, the hack have nothing to do with the original game yet here you are complaining
@Reanimated "What if Mario is Missing weren’t a boring edutainment title? This hack intends to be what most players expected Mario is Missing to be: a platformer starring Luigi on a quest to save Mario."
That's the description of the hack in Romacking.net. The plot is basically the same. I think the right title should be" Another Mario is Missing" The authors just decided to throw the educationnal and real world parts to instead do a Mario platformer game set in the game universe with Luigi being the protagonist.
The title could be "missleading" for those who liked the original game but since most people didn't liked it because of education and real world part, the hack choose to go into another direction instead
@Reanimated I think the title is a sort of joke personnaly since the description and the end of the hack "mock" the original
In super mario world, mario goes on a quest platforming to rescue princess. This game Luigi goes on a platform quest to rescue Mario. The hacker's intents was to make a Mario is Missing the way he saw it should have been rather than the one that was released therefore the moniker "done right". I don't see how anyone thinks this hack sucks. It's incredible.
I really like this, it looks amazing and fun 😊
Level design 10/10
Enemies 10/10
Music 10/10
The hack itself 100/10
The end screen is flippin' hilarious!
I love when SMW Hacks have Super Mario Land 2 music 7:44
I love Amber's hacks. They're always so vibrant.
19:19 Awesome `Sunrise or Sunset!
I love how they used The Road is Full of Dangers for the grassland levels.
Aside from the floating aspect, the feather or P bar really never got used. Also, the hit detection is super generous. It might be nice for casual play, but SMW still has playability and scale on this one. On the other hand, I did like the music throwbacks in SMW form.
Super mario + zelda music = Mind BLOWN!.
how come I didnt know about this game before, can't wait to try it for myself
Not that it doesn’t work or wasn’t good, but it’s such an odd mix of 3 and World sprites, sounds, mechanics, and I swear there was some Zelda or Kirby music thrown in. Also the end game was waaay easy. Didn’t have to be as hard as 3’s level 8, because that was a nightmare, but it seemed much easier than SMW’s flying Bowser.
Gavin says: and Sonic the Hedgehog as well!!!
If I had not played so many videogames in my life I would have thought many of the stages' music tracks were originals
Castle theme, starting at 15:35, sounds realy nice! Pretty cool version of it! :)
This gives me SMBX vibes all over again!
Paying some hard respect to Super Mario RPG right off the bat there. Digging it
This is my favorite Super Nintendo game
Finally! No more geography nonsense! :) Just the platforming that made -Mario- Luigi famous!
Fantastic Job ! ! !
This looks great!
Luigi finally rescued his beloved brother.
And the kiss?
*Alabama: 100*
Do they kiss each other on opposite cheeks like Italians?
Only partway through the video, very impressive work. This feels like an actually Mario game. Sure so far it's a little on the easy side with some challenge, but still good. And yes Mario is Missing should of been more like this then a half-a$$ed attempt on a "educational" game. I do agree the only issue I see is the bosses, they are waaaaaay too easy to defeat (so far). Also the use of music is very nice from different games that work well with the level themes and designs. Also nice to see elements used in a variety of Mario games then just Super Mario World. Nintendo could learn more from these games...
This romhack nicely blends SMB3 level design with SMW level duration.
12:30 ''hears Midas River from Super Mario RPG'', ah, this alone made me happier than every New SMB games out there ^^
Finished the game, this is really cool
looks awesome!
Taking What Used to be a Boring Trivia Mystery and Turning into an Adventure Game. Very Swell!
That's it, I want to play this game! It looks so good!!!
What is the song at about 2:17:30 from? The one in Bullet Boneyard?
VGMusic Explorers Its from Majoras Mask.
VGMusic Explorers The song is called Stone Tower Temple.
Thanks man! :)
From the looks of it, it seems to be a nice and solid SMW rom hack. But for the title apperantly claming to be a superior title to the original Mario is missing game I still have some complains.
I like the creativity and passion people put into fan games like that. So I hope you do not take my critic here the wrong way.
1. That would have called out to be just another plattformer. Only here you have to save Mario instead of Peach.
2. When you look at games like the actuall "Mario is missing" or "Luigi's Mansion" you see they do something completly different with this concept. (The concept being: Luigi has the chance to shine through the absence of his more famous brother and they use it.)
3. Luigi does not even seem to controll differently than Mario and there are no costum power ups to compensate this. (Iam almost sure there are some mods for SMW hacking which could have made it possible.)
4."Mario is Missing Done Right" should be an actuall Rom hack of the game or have done something closer to it than just being a normal plattformer.
Given the actual Mario is Missing is such a piece of unrelenting garbage, hacking it would just be dumb. You can polish a turd, but it's still a turd. This is a far better idea than that edutainment game.
I guess you are right but I desperatly wanted to give the game credit for at least wanting to be educational.
It is been like an eternity since I played it. I do not even realy know anymore how the educational part exactly worked. What I remember is there was a lot of try and error envolved for me. And I did not take any education from it at all.
I only played it to the end because I was corious how the game would make me save Mario at the end. But I have completly forgotten how it worked or I might not have played it through after all.
Tenkai Stern: shut up.. no-one likes critic's
Criticism isn't that bad a thing.
I actually agree with you.
You know what would have fixed this for me, If the levels were based off the places you went in Mario's Missing, & if the toad houses rewarded you for getting the quizzes from Mario is Missing with 1 ups. (Maybe have human NPC's that still give you facts to what the correct answers could be)
It's a good game, no question about that, but I wouldn't exactly call it Mario is Missing done Right so much as NewSuperLuigiBros2
Perfeitamente Mario Word das galáxias
