I have fought tooth and nail to have children. Surgeries, medications, and an unmeasurable amount of tears. I resorted to adoption as an option. It just never panned out. I had to swallow the pill that I am no longer at an age to have kids. I would have taken these kiddos, sight unseen. I would have showered them with the most amount of love I have to share. Please always consider other alternates before harming a child. Many of us set and wait for the babies need love call. And what a sickening man and woman for stealing the most valuable asset we have, our future.

I can’t have kids either. I thought the same thing as you. There were so many other options for the kids instead of murder. A 2 year old was murdered where I live just a few months ago. His mother’s boyfriend abused him regularly and murdered him. She allowed the abuse and went to work claiming she didn’t know her son was murdered by that point. It’s another heartbreaking case. So many people who can’t carry a child would’ve loved to take the kids. Unfortunately Chad and Lori just wanted the money so if they allowed someone to take the kids then they wouldn’t continue to collect their money.

I think the hair was a big deal too! If the hair had been found on the inside of the plastic I would say it could’ve easily gotten there but with her hair being on the outside or wrapped up in the plastic I call it a win too. I followed this from the beginning, when Nate was in Hawaii, & I saw that on the news, I knew, those babies and and others are in harms way... sadly. You could feel it all around the day they found the children, I’ll never forget that moment.

Idaho state law requires pre-sentencing investigations in all felony charges. Some states do them prior to, or during the trial, and it depends on what the felonies are, how in depth they go. In Lori's case, the fact that she has 4 1st degree murder/conspiracy to commit 1st degree murder, means they're going to go very deep with her. They need to know all of this prior to sending her to the prison, so the prison personnel know how to handle her, what they need to do to make sure she's not a danger to other inmates, or them, to her. Also, to determine how long it would take to 'rehabilitate' her. IMHO, she's got so many demons inside of her, it would be better for her to be put to death, but that's not going to happen... so only thing left, IMHO, is life without parole. She will never be safe around society's members.

That's JUST for the jury. What about the judge's time, the prosecutors' time, if there's a public defender, then the State pays for THEIR services, as well, the bailiffs, the court reporter, judicial assistants, etc., let alone the utilities, security, etc. IF they can avoid a trial, and the defendant negotiates for a plea deal, by agreeing to plead guilty, for less time, or to take the death penalty off the table, then you can bet they will consider the offer, and in most cases, will accept it, in order to save money.
It’s so disturbing and messed up how throughout the entire trial, especially when the pathologist was talking about how JJ and Tylee passed, there was never a reaction on her face. She was just indicted today for conspiracy to commit murder against Brandon Budreaux, so now she's facing two possible death sentences. Hopefully one or the other, or even both, will put her on death row.
It was on the table. The Judge removed it due to the Prosecution failing to meet specific deadlines, and jeopardising Lori’s right to a speedy trial. It was the only way to ensure there was no mistrial. No death penalty in Arizona for conspiracy to murder.

If contractions (words with apostrophes in them) trip you up, take a moment to recall what two words make up the contraction, and that will tell you if you're (you are) using it in the right place. This whole case absolutely blows my mind. Lori was clearly suffering with massive mental health problems, but how did she manage to get the people around her to be complicit to her plan and crimes! The ex husband was killed by her brother, and Chad killed his wife to marry her and then there was the murder of the children. There is so much more to this case, why did people just believe in what she said and what she wanted and those poor children were slaughtered. Inmates tend to forget that all calls placed by them ARE recorded and as we just heard, the recordings, if necessary, will be used as evidence in court.
Feel bad too. They’ve both lost both parents. However, based on victims impact statements from Tammy’s people it doesn’t seem like they’ve woken up yet to the fact that their mother was murdered by their dad and his mistress. I can’t pretend to know what they are going through. So I can’t place myself there but I hope they wake up soon and reconnect with Tammy’s family and dump chad!

I think it was before - right when they moved to Rexburg end of August. Tylee was killed about 2 weeks after they moved. So sad! I never thought about that. Poor Tylee! I’m gonna do some digging. I’ve been listening to the testimony recordings of their text exchanges.

It’s Chad Daybell’s day in court next, and we would love to find out how, after his wife of over three decades died, he was so stricken with grief that he married the woman he was having an affair with just two weeks later, laughing on the beach, and spending the life insurance he took out on Tammy. Charles, Tammy, Tyler and JJ deserved better. I hope the jury will do what’s right.
This whole situation was a big waste of time. I understand a fair trial right. But there was enough evidence to prove beyond a reasonable doubt at least a dozen times over in the first couple of hours the court room doors open. Lock them both up and stop wasting everyone's time and money. I've never had my intelligence insulted this much since 9/11 🙄
I get your frustration but the 6th and 7th amendment rights of the Constitution must be honored for every defendant because if those rights are violated, the defense attorney would have enough legal grounds to have the verdicts of the case to be either retried or dismissed entirely based on constitutional grounds. That’s too much of a risk to take if you want a conviction.
On cross examination, why did the defense not question witnesses if they had received immunity in exchange for testimony. (At least on witness had limited/transactional immunity)

Iirc, both Colby and Tylee loved/liked Charles. He was their father figure, for 14 years. It's only the last year that everything changed due to Lori's and Chad's doing. I viewed the interview with 1 of the 6 Jurors on Law and Crime. When asked about the children, she replied, they were Lori's sounce of money, she had to keep them with her. Not in her words, but mine in a nutshell. If she had given them to someone else, their money would go with whoever became their guardian. Which I can see Lori double sticking Kay in her own sense of vindictive assault on Kay. She looked up child insurance, but never got it. I think Chad was to much in a hurry to get rid of the children, because he had to have complete loyalty with Lori, and as you can see, his plans of getting rid of all the children was his next step with Melineice. Since criminals are the biggest optimists, she never thought they would get caught, as they all do. Her Cult mind had to kill her children to save them...sick, really sick. Now, she had her income, saved her children, and Chad was going to lead them to save the world. I've thought this ever since I started watching the whole Cult thing. 'Late' indicating the relationship was ongoing when they passed away. It's also a polite way to reference someone who died (as in the above example 'late ex wife).
In this case, Tammy and Chad were married at the time of her murder, so saying 'ex wife' is inaccurate and is disrespectful to the victim.

I have fought tooth and nail to have children. Surgeries, medications, and an unmeasurable amount of tears. I resorted to adoption as an option. It just never panned out. I can’t have kids either. I thought the same thing as you. There were so many other options for the kids instead of murder. A 2 year old was murdered where I live just a few months ago. His mother’s boyfriend abused him regularly and murdered him. She allowed the abuse and went to work claiming she didn’t know her son was murdered by that point. It’s another heartbreaking case. So many people who can’t carry a child would’ve loved to take the kids. Unfortunately Chad and Lori just wanted the money so if they allowed someone to take the kids then they wouldn’t continue to collect their money.

Idaho state law requires pre-sentencing investigations in all felony charges. Some states do them prior to, or during the trial, and it depends on what the felonies are, how in depth they go. In Lori's case, the fact that she has 4 1st degree murder/conspiracy to commit 1st degree murder, means they're going to go very deep with her. They need to know all of this prior to sending her to the prison, so the prison personnel know how to handle her, what they need to do to make sure she's not a danger to other inmates, or them, to her. Also, to determine how long it would take to 'rehabilitate' her. IMHO, she's got so many demons inside of her, it would be better for her to be put to death, but that's not going to happen... so only thing left, IMHO, is life without parole. She will never be safe around society's members.

That's JUST for the jury. She was just indicted today for conspiracy to commit murder against Brandon Budreaux, so now she's facing two possible death sentences. Hopefully one or the other, or even both, will put her on death row.
It was on the table. The Judge removed it due to the Prosecution failing to meet specific deadlines, and jeopardising Lori’s right to a speedy trial. It was the only way to ensure there was no mistrial.

This whole case absolutely blows my mind. Lori was clearly suffering with massive mental health problems, but how did she manage to get the people around her to be complicit to her plan and crimes! The ex husband was killed by her brother, and Chad killed his wife to marry her and then there was the murder of the children. There is so much more to this case, why did people just believe in what she said and what she wanted and those poor children were slaughtered. I would be so interested in a psychiatric analysis of this case.

This whole situation was a big waste of time. I understand a fair trial right. But there was enough evidence to prove beyond a reasonable doubt at least a dozen times over in the first couple of hours the court room doors open. I get your frustration but the 6th and 7th amendment rights of the Constitution must be honored for every defendant because if those rights are violated, the defense attorney would have enough legal grounds to have the verdicts of the case to be either retried or dismissed entirely based on constitutional grounds. That’s too much of a risk to take if you want a conviction.
On cross examination, why did the defense not question witnesses if they had received immunity in exchange for testimony. (At least on witness had limited/transactional immunity)

I can't listen to Melanie Gibb any longer, I think she's full of crap. She was a part of this as much as the other Melanie, Zulema and Audrey and there's one more and I can't remember her name. It took Melanie Gibb two months to speak to the police, she is the first one to introduce Lori into the preparing of the people and she is the one who introduced her to Chad, she isn't a saint in all of this. Ive been wondering if Lori brainwashed Tylee into not loving Charles. Was she ever allowed to love him. Iirc, both Colby and Tylee loved/liked Charles. He was their father figure, for 14 years. It's only the last year that everything changed due to Lori's and Chad's doing. Not surprised if Lori would start poisoning Tylee's mind, to gain her allegiance against Charles as they're splitting up. She probably told her that Charles was cheating on her, the way she said that to everyone who would listen in her family. Didn't he (Charles) also purchase that jeep for her (Tylee) to drive around (the same jeep being used by 'good' ol' uncle Alex while he's shooting at Brandon Bordeaux?)--it sounds to me that the two had somewhat a decent father-daughter relationship.

I've always thought that Lori got rid of Tylee because she knew too much about Charles death & maybe Tylee felt guilt or questioned it and brought it up too much or something and that's why Lori said she was possessed.
I viewed the interview with 1 of the 6 Jurors on Law and Crime. When asked about the children, she replied, they were Lori's sounce of money, she had to keep them with her. Not in her words, but mine in a nutshell. If she had given them to someone else, their money would go with whoever became their guardian. Which I can see Lori double sticking Kay in her own sense of vindictive assault on Kay. She looked up child insurance, but never got it. I think Chad was to much in a hurry to get rid of the children, because he had to have complete loyalty with Lori, and as you can see, his plans of getting rid of all the children was his next step with Melineice. Since criminals are the biggest optimists, she never thought they would get caught, as they all do. Her Cult mind had to kill her children to save them...sick, really sick. Now, she had her income, saved her children, and Chad was going to lead them to save the world. I've thought this ever since I started watching the whole Cult thing. Thanks for verifying what I felt about Tylee. Lori took her life, and the only safe true love she had as a father figure, Charles. I hope that comes up in his trial. I can't begin to tell you what that did to my entire life, when my mother brainwashed me from my father.
