There's software already developed that does that. A tech company in Canada has done it and field testing has been done. The name escapes me, but I'll edit this reply when I get their info.
Installers not taping the filter 😡. When I did install I would silicone then tape just for good measure most times. Especially when they paid for extra filtration. Leaving a little tape will save you a service call every time. Your always gonna get that retire who is inspecting his duct for fun and finds a hole. When you leave a little tape and make it known your leaving the tape in case we missed something they love that.
