About Westworld:
Have you ever questioned the nature of your reality? In this dark odyssey about the dawn of artificial consciousness and the future of sin, a malfunction creates havoc and terror for vacationers at a futuristic adult-themed amusement park for forbidden fantasies. Oscar winner Anthony Hopkins plays Dr. Robert Ford, the brilliant, taciturn and complex creative director, chief programmer and chairman of the board of Westworld, who has an uncompromising creative vision -- and unorthodox methods of achieving it. Four-time Oscar nominee Ed Harris portrays The Man in Black, the distillation of pure villainy into one man. And Emmy Award winner Evan Rachel Wood appears as Dolores Abernathy, the quintessential Western farm girl, who is about to discover that her entire idyllic existence is an elaborately constructed lie. Westworld is inspired by the film of the same name written and directed by Michael Crichton.

Westworld S1 Official Soundtrack | Paint It, Black - Ramin Djawadi | WaterTower
• Westworld S1 Official ...
it's a shame the show never got a proper ending but I'll always remember the first season as one of the best pieces of television ever made, and the music by ramin djawadi played a Huge part in that
I think all of the seasons were just a simulation? If they ever do another season it'll be the real deal I hope... but I think it's canceled
@@elnoare That is exactly what is going on. It's all a simulation in a simulation.
Agreed!
didnt look like anything to me...
yep the first season was gold. it had the western in it
2:08 I felt goosebumps when I heard this on the show. I knew I was hooked on Westworld that instant.
Benassiesto , same here!
same. i already had realt high expectations of this show but then this scene and i was tapping along to the music with my foot and then it hit me that is was paint it black.
and by now the big bernard reveal and al the smaller things to, its been since lost and GOT that ive been so addictd to a show
Do you know where does this soundtrack come from? When I heard it in WW, I could've sworn it seemed so darn familiar.
i recogniced it too but i don´t know from where
u are both trolling right?? the second i heard it on the show my foot started tapping to the sound and after a minute paint it black shot into my head and i was like holy s hit this is awesome that the saloon piano is playing classic rock songs. the hosts wouldnt know it but the guests would offcource. so even with the music they are making it somewhat "deep"
"That's the Sherrif's horse, you son of a bitch."
Terry Murray "it's his riffle too"

This man is fucking genius from westeros to westworld....
Jon Snow don't forget person of interest
PoI was the best TV series I ever seen.
+Michał Skup agreed
Sounds like the title of his autobiography if he ever writes one... From Westeros to Westworld.
Jon Snow From PrisonBreak to Westworld you mean
You know, if somebody told me a year ago "Hey, I bet ya an orchestral version of a classic rock song would fit great into a western shootout scene", I would have been skeptical at best.
Boy, was I wrong.
e ua-cam.com/video/WFhyPyog3Hw/v-deo.html e
It matched a Japanese Fight sequance too 😇😎😁
@@jayadevmenon7086 "Yes, fine. I may have cribbed a little bit from Westworld. You try writing 300 storylines in three weeks!"
Give this man an Emmy already!
Peter Dinklage hi peter
Peter Dinklage I see you often on UA-cam. And he already has an Emmy IIRC
Edit - I didn't recall correctly.
You guys don't think that's the real Peter Dinklage, do you? I could set my account name to Mahatma Ghandi and that don't make it true.
Johnny Kronaz what do u mean? of course thats the real peter!
Who else would it be Johnny? you idiot
The most admirable feature about Ramin Djawadi's soundtracks is his ability to convert songs like "Heart-shaped box","paint it black", "runaway" and others to a new creative mix of music.
“Songs like Nirvana”
Also “so full of splendor.” I like that one.
a ua-cam.com/video/WFhyPyog3Hw/v-deo.html a
"Sweet child of mine" too.
a friend Arden just send me this song, he knows I am a big fan of the Rolling Stones, went to see the concert in Brussels last week, and I must admit this version is amazing, never heard of the Ramin Djawadi before but I will look for his version of hits..
When I first heard this I was like "Wait.... that tune... I know that tune.... what..... HOLY SHIT IT'S PAIN IT BLACK!" I got way too excited and I don't even know why.
nah i was holy crap!! Stir of Echoes!!
because it was fucking PAINT IT BLACK! :D
András Agócs same here 😆
Same, one moment I was merely a bystander then I started to hear something that was saying to my subconscious, I see you there, you know me, welcome.
*exactly* my experience ;D
I still haven't gotten over how amazing that moment was, i must've woken up the neighbors with this song that night :3
These violent delights have violent ends

Genius orchestration. Mixes original theme, big band orchestra and Western motifs... With a bit of mandolin and clavichord thrown in. Wonderful.
The theme isn't original though.
The clavichord makes it! ; )

Analysis: Why is this music so epic
Because it's real music not over- produced music which lacks substance
because its based on the most epic rock band ever!!! The Rolling Stones !!
Ramin Djawadi made it. That's why
@@skapunker1986 Actually Erkin Koray - Bir Eylul Aksami(1963). And then Rolling Stones- Paint it Black(1966). After that Ramin Djawadi. Three good artists.
@@elyria9788 Imagine Kanye Westworld 😮
And this was the point that got me hooked on Westworld, bravo.
Same for me. Thought the show was really good, then this scene happened, the show became great.
Bad thing for me is that it set the bar so high on this show for me, it hasn't been close to it again. :(
+Goulashi sadly, I feel the same way
Definitely!
I just commented the same thing! I had goosebumps. Last show to do that to me was Game of Thrones. Coincidence it's the same composer?
The season finale was absolutely amazing. My favorite first season of any show I've ever seen.
It's up there with The Wire's first season.
I never thought I could love a first season more than I did "Lost" and "The Walking Dead", then Westworld came. :-)
Um...Game of Thrones?
Game of Thrones is amazing but season 1 of GoT didn't get me as hooked as Westworld did. GoT took a long time to get into
mr. robot would top this
I'm a simple man, I see Ramin Djawadi and I listen
Might I suggest the Moonlight score / soundtrack by... Nicholas Breitel (I believe, can't check now)
The 3 piece score melded together representing the protagonist's 3 distinct stages of life/ identity is truly a masterpiece even when compared to these exquisite works of audio art

Did they like the music؟
I love how stories at HBO are not only about story but also about great atmosphere what is created by splendid music.
Gusttafa that seems to be something unique to HBO in recent years and it makes the shows they produce much better than any of their competitors.
Have you ever seen anything so full of splendor?
b ua-cam.com/video/WFhyPyog3Hw/v-deo.html b
Ramin Djawadi is amazing.
I liked this comment just for the avatar.
This was so perfect with the scene with Hector going slow-mo into the bar to steal the safe.
RIP to the potential of this show. Should've been a one season miniseries and stayed inside the park. Writers were too ambitious and couldn't deliver.
Naw. It is just you mouth breathers don’t understand the nature of consciousness.
Son: Dad, why'd you name my sister April?
Me: Because your mom and I agreed that she could name your sister after something she loves, and I could name you after something that I love. And she loves the month of April.
Son: Thanks, Dad.
Me: No problem, OFFICIAL Westworld Soundtrack - Paint it Black.

What did you name your kid if you don't mind me asking you?
🤣🤣
So what would the nickname be?
Maybe: PIB
i'm dying
Ramin is a legend!!!
The first episode is still my favourite out of the lot so far simply because it absolutely nailed the tone, and this was one bloody amazing cherry on top of that cake!
Possibly the greatest soundtrack ever produced for a TV show ever and it is up there with the greatest soundtracks ever produced for TV/FILM... Ramin Djawadi is simply one of best composers of our time! IMO he is the the greatest of this generation along with his master Hans Zimmer.
Prince Aegon Please, Hans Zimmerman is great but you fail to acknowledge other great composers as well. Such as John Williams (Jaws, Harry Potter, Indiana Jones), Michael Giacchino (Up, Ratatouille, Doctor Strange), Henry Jackman (Winter Soldier, Avengers)
Rory H Howard Shore was Lord of the Rings
so are John Paesano (daredevil series), carter burwell (twilight saga) and Justin Hurwitz (La La land).
Henry Jackman is not a "great" composer, you must be joking. Desplat and Morricone are waaaay more deserving
DON'T YOU FORGET TSFH ! EVERY MORE SUCCESS YOU CAN'T IMAGINE ! TSFH TOOOOOO !
God I love this song. Just the perfect amount of darkness and playfulness.
Well said. I was trying to describe it but you did it
Yes and it gets stuck in my head. I'll be doing something and bam, I'm humming it
One of the few covers that I love better than the original ^^
So... Please, listen to the oryginal one... performed by The RSs: ua-cam.com/video/O4irXQhgMqg/v-deo.html :) :O :D

Figuring out this was Paint it Black while watching the episode was great. Two minutes of "I know...that...song...from...somewhere...."
Hah! Watch Stir of Echoes with Kevin Bacon
Who knew that 5 years later this show and masterful interpretation of one the best songs would still be listened and talked about! Music is forever
Hell is empty and all the devils are here.
Hell is empty? Fuck naw!
thewakingdead1 have you seen doom? Hell is FULL of demons
Thats a sherrifs horse you son of a bitch.
thewakingdead1 - 1 of the best scenes and lines of a season filled with excellent writing... James Delos’ monologue when they find “his” cradle torn to pieces and mind in full deterioration might be THE best 1 tho IMHO, of course - such a brilliant fucking show I don’t think I can say I’ve been let down once yet
Said Lucifer.
" -That's the sheriffs' horse, you son of a bitch!
-...And his rifle too!"
The most badass line so far...
I like Westworld
Epic Music Movie So do I
same
Everybody did
I love Westworld
You wouldn't like it if it was your reality, it would be like being in the matrix
Ramin Djawadi takes any show from being a 6/10 to a 10/10 !!
Westworld is not a 6/10 tho. It is really good.
Ramin Djawadi, you fucking genius, you.
One of my favourite soundtracks from a TV series now. just love it
Man this one is so good. Wonderful score for a wonderful show. Ramin did a good job for GOT, but the Westworld soundtracks released so far are truly masterpiece. One of the best I've ever heard. Hope the quality can stay this way for the full release later.
His GoT's work is phenomenal. Truly adds complexity to the show, plot, characters, world, etc.
My parents (and grandparents) raised me on The Rolling Stones and The Beatles and all kinds of classics, and the fact that several of them were transformed for this show made me so happy. I loved the modern songs transformed and the oldies brought back into the spotlight. Incredible.
Ramin Djawadi's version of this music is an absolute beast. It's perfect and better than any other version of this music. I love the westworld first season album. It's a masterpiece.
This series just keeps getting better, the Wild West meets contemporary, OMG! 🙀
Or that Blade Runner is like the original 1973 and 1976 movies.
Friedrich Maibach It definitely wasn't the best ever sci-fi movie. However, for its time it was something original.
I just love this so much. using a rolling Stones song is genius
This rendition the song that now feels like an epic western song, as if this series is actually an epic modern western movie, complete with epic blockbuster music like this song is simply brilliant, I love it more than the original. Was waiting for this ever since I heard it in the show
The Style at least at the first part is very reminiscent of Ennio Marcione Spaghetti westerns Like "the good the bad and the Ugly" .
lately every time I look for a soundtrack I like, it is made by Ramin Djawadi. What a god!
When I heard Black Hole Sun I was so surprised and thrilled, seeing it's one of my favorite songs. And then this comes on, and I knew this series would be a good ride.

If you open both "paint it, black" of season 1 and 2 same time, you have a perfect moment. That's amazing things.
Ramin Djawadi is a genius... this is exquisite ❤️👌🏼
I was really enjoying the first episode anyway, then out busts this awesome rendition of one of my favorite songs ever, amidst a beautifully executed shootout scene with Ingrid being all badass with a shotgun. And I love how this kinda creeps upon the viewer, you don't necessary catch it soon. This whole segment got me hooked.
This is incredible. Loving this show and the music is unbelievably stunning!
Idk why but that short moment at 3:48 takes the entire track to the next level...
LET THIS BE A LESSON. THE LESSON IS -
*dies*
Don't monologue while there's a firefight going on? Good lesson.
Stupid guest. Ruining a badass moment.
The lesson is the lesson doesn't matter cause we are all gonna die.
Lesson was told in the second season finale by Sizemore
Don’t turn your back on a lady who is probably hiding a gun in her corset. Was that it?
So much respect for Ramin Djawadi for making all these masterpieces, from game of thrones to this
This is too beautiful. We don't deserve such beautiful music.
but why?
Well maybe you don't. certainly accept this music to fill the void inside of me.
Think about western civilization. We're trying to keep ours, and every other nation from the stroke of midnight here. Remember, these violent delights have violent ends. We deserve this kind of delight.
It's not new. The rolling stones made it.
Agreed. Wretched that we are.
I DONT EVEN WATCH THE SHOW & THIS HAS MY MIND BLOWN!!!!!!
Then you need to start watching it. It's really good
my girlfriend won't let me because of the sex & nudity.
91MoonKnight Then lets not tell her
Break up with her. However good she is, the show is better.
then your girlfriend is a bitch...
Another HBO show started out amazing. But went down with every season.
First time watching the show, I heard the first notes and thought, "No this can't be..." and then goes into the whole song while a crazy shootout occurs. Made a huge Westworld fan out of me since.
SPOILER ALERT:
Dolores kills Han Solo
james lingfield and yondu
and spartacus
Since when Dolores killing somebody is some kind of a spoiler, it's expected.

Frodo shot first
THE greatest Stones song ever and this rendition is just SUPERB!
It's incredible how the song starts. One of the bests starts I've seen ever.
When you thought Light of the Seven couldn't be beaten
There are two different songs.
thx mate now i FINALLY know what that awesome soundtrack from the got season finale was.
hard to choose wich is better , this ir light of the seven.... djawadi is tv's hans zimmer :)
i wish i had released the other song to, the one thats now on youtube with the name these violent delights. i LOVE that one and its original and not a cover if im not mistaken
Lilian C. Light of The Seven is better in my opinion... it just shows more emotion to me and it's just so intense and it was the first time they used a piano in the entire series so as soon as I heard that I knew some serious fuckery was up. That being said, this version of Paint it Black is also amazing.
Light of the Seven was so incredibly perfect for the situation. It was a huge departure from other GoT music, which made sense since the moments it played in were as well.
Lilian C. My favourite piece by Ramin is Pay the Iron Price.
I have listened to this so many times, bloody brilliant. 😊
Doesn't look like anything to me.

"That's the sheriff's horse, you son of a bitch"
i saw the original 1973 movie (but only in 1979). i'm sad for the end of the series. this soundtrack is a materpierce
Between wendsday, westworld and rollingstone, I chose the westworld. I was born in 90's
Season1
Watch it again

A truly masterpiece. The same guy of Game Of Thrones, this show can't be wrong at anything; what a show. When Game Of Thrones is no more, this is THE SHOW to look. In fact, this is the only show that can match and sometimes even overcome GOT. What a beauty, and with the music of Ramin Djawadi is an excellent touch. Can't ever express anymore what this show with this music means. Everything.
Hyperbole much?
javier negron oh c'mon there many shows better than Game of Thrones
javier negron Depends how you look at it.
Black Sails is cleverer than GoT, actually makes you think whilst still being epic af.
Vikings has better action than GoT and more of it. Plus Travis Fimmel as Ragnar is the best actor/character I have seen in a tv series. (Better than any GoT character)
If you are talking production quality then Marco Polo is the top, every scene in that show looks like a high budget movie in the cinema, again better than GoT in this aspect.
GoT is the best all rounder. But the shows I listed beat it by miles in some categories.
Waiting for this... Ramin you BEAUTY.....
hello me
"Broke my nose, bastard"
You don't know anything, man
My god oh my god! They better start addressing him Maestro Djawadi! Lord I cant get enough of this!
This guy is my favorite composer.
no matter how dirty the business, do it well
Sound design is really fucking important in tv and movies. Great fuckin show
This has an old-age feeling to it. Like a soundtrack for a classic movie.
This literally gave me the chills, excellent score!
Ramin Djawadi one true GOAT.
Finally the true version of this amazing cover hits internet !
Finally! One of the best sountracks in any series:)
2:10 aaaahhhhh
I know man .. The best part ;)

I first recognized this song on the show as something I’ve been rocking to as a kid in guitar hero. Now I can feel Hector’s gang coming.
That's the sheriff's horse, you son of a bitch!
..... his rifle too!!
APM "Wait Bernard.. what's that?" "Doesn't look like anything to me"- the moment that I fell absolutely in love with this series, took 7 episodes but now I love this even more than GoT :D
rly ? that moment sure made me chill... I did'nt understand what were the drawings but this sentence... Just a masterpiece at this moment !

This just chills me out in a way I can't even...
So happy to really get the REAL version! Thanks so much! :D

yeah!
IKR - who needs a bass drop anyway?
Paint it Black. In the style of Final Fantasy boss music. Me gusta.
Ramin Djawadi really created this masterpeace! what a brilliant composer...
Still my favorite scene in Westworld - This soundtrack was so insanely perfect for the scene, geniously performed!
Such a GENIUS is Djawadi! This is Rolling Stones, but the cover is GOREOUS!
You cannot rob a train in RDR2 without this
Loved how they used orchestral/piano covers of modern music throughout the series Paint it black, house of the rising sun, 7 nation army, heart shaped box, even the weeknd. Such a unique way to incorporate well known songs.
That's enough, Ramin!
That moment when you realize that your new "Wild West" show slipped Paint it Black into it's pilot episode. #IWasThere
Just amazing. Much better than the original
it's great. it's different. "much better"? no
nah, sorry man. But this is much better
Beneduck Crumplesnatch if you're going to deny his stance on opinions, you should also speak to the one he is replying to for also denying the original comment.
He turned it into a wild west song. I have no idea how.
That said, I like both.
How can you even compare them lol, they're completely different

"That's a sheriff's horse, you son of a bitch. His riffle too"
when i heard this on the show i thought of paint it black, im so glad it actually is
and here I was listening to lots of classical musics such as Beethoven or Bach for nothing to find which was this song in Westworld.
i could tell even from the part at 0:53, although i didnt actually know the name of the song.
all i knew was that i recognized the song and something reminisced me it was playable in guitar hero too.
Same, I heard this and was like "am I hearing "Paint it Black" right now...?"
I didn't really know "Paint it black", but also, at 0:53 I recognized the song immediately and was wondering its name, even I didn't know well, i guessed "Paint it black" and I was right. I'm so proud of myself, yeah
My wife turned and said, "Is... Is this 'Paint it Black'?" Damn I love that girl. This is an absolutely amazing arrangement of it.
When we say great composers we think of Beethoven , Mozart , Bach.....but I think history should also remember contemporany composers like Ramin Djawadi, Ludovico Einaudi , Hans Zimmer...
Good music will always pass the test of time
Yepkarma you forgot John Williams
Ramin was the musical arranger - credit to Jagger and Richards on this one......
This was such an amazing scene, and with the music? MAGIC!
it's now my phone ringtone !
that's actually when you realize you chose the wrong ringtone cause for me I would just let it play till the end of the piece xD
No but seriously this piece is just so much kickass!!!
so, what you mean is that you never answer your phone anymore?
Why is it important that it's an iphone, it would sound pretty fucking weird to say that this will be my Samsung ringtone... lol.
Basharkk السلام عليكم ورحمته الله و بركاته معكم بشار ولا بشار ككككك؟؟kkk
Don't put it in your ringtone, you will soon hate it, this is too good to be hated.
