Yeah I’m looking forward to taking abroad! I’m going to Portugal in August so I will put it through it paces then. Are you making an appearance on Sunday?
Nice video mate, we found 4 ghost pots the other day, the really big commercial ones, they are bloody hard work to swim back eh, we managed to get 3 out and the other one we opened and also cut the sides to release everything in them. Nice bass shot, good old fish kebab.
barely started to watch the video but the bag is not secure at all. the "symbol" you see is a TSA stamp which means anyone at the airport can open it and every thief on the planet who order a key online (they are also not hard to pick). ignoring the lock it seem like a great bag. if you go on a flight do you need to register the bag as something special? considering it longer than usual
Agreed, TSA locks are shite. You can buy keys very cheap, and most dont even need keys, hair pins will open the majority of those locks 😟 Decent case though
Yeah makes sense I suppose. Yeah what I forgot to mention is there are also 2 reinforced padlock loops for added security. Im actually going abroad next week and i'm planning to pack diving gear and clothes ect in the case and then running it through as sporting gear so I don't have to pay for a suitcase. Then just have a rucksack for the flight. So it will have a good test. Sorry about the long reply
Hey man! Came across your channel - such cool stuff, binge watching everything. If possible, it would be so fun to meet up and join you on a dive, I have always wanted to spearfish and went to a freediving course a few weeks back. I am in East London, but would be excited to make the trip out to join you. I'm 24 years old, from New York, but had been working here in financial services - pretty normal guy haha hope to hear from you soon
@@TheOutdoor_Guy I believe 20-30 feet if I'm not mistaken. I've also just gotten scuba certified so have experience going lower. What number or email would be best to reach you? I'll message you- would be fun
Try out freediving/snorkelling if you enjoy being in the water and want to enjoy what it has to offer. Buy yourself some gear and see how it goes. You can always book yourself onto a spearfishing course. A guy called Maxime or “The Frenchman” runs courses from the Devon area. If you do go ahead with him, let him know I sent you 👍
After you use the UW housing, do you put it back in the Nanuk case even if wet with salt water? Or what do you do? That's the reason i tend to use a cheap insulated lunch bag for a camera housing. I can put the wet camera in it and rinse the bag when i get home. The insulated lunch bag should protect from impact. Also the long nanuk case is nice. But do you have to pay oversize fees for air travel? Does it fit in your car? I use pneumatic spearguns so i need a 100cm long bag max.
I normally wash the UW housing off with fresh water before putting it away. As for the 995 Nanuk case, yes it fits in my car. If it came to travelling abroad, yes you would have to pay extra for (Sporting Equipment) but worth it. The Interior dimensions for the case are (L x W x H): 1321 x 368 x 152 mm | 52 × 14.5 × 6”
@@TheOutdoor_Guy thank you. I looked into it. The total L+W+H is 63 inches, when the max for checking a baggage in the USA without oversize fees is 62 inches, for a similar Nanuk case that is about 1 meter long. If it was a tiny smaller. So you take the housing in the case to the dive spot, but you wait thill the next day to put it back in the case? I find that wrapping it in a canvas shopping bag or in a towel, and putting it in a 10 liter dry bag should offer enough protection. I usually have to walk more than 1 km to my dive spot. So I am using a spearfishing backpack
Brilliant video, thank you. Haven't been getting notifications lately despite the settings being on. I find I have a pleasant amount of catching up ahead of me.
That 995 case looks about one thousand times easier to pack than a sportube! Good case for roller guns with shorter thicker shafts.

Hello mate. Yeah im sure it can be arranged at some point if you like. How deep were you diving on your freediving course?
