    Hi James,
Having my own KS-6 in my kit, I feel that the best way to mount it, is so the tilt axis is around the round part. Having the Volt on my M2 rig, the gyro will take care of the pan axis in the best way. It's kind of opposite of what you're saying in the video. But I haven't used it in the field yet. Also I feel that just having the gyro turned on for around 4 minutes and then turn it off and on in breaks, will make it 'grab' the rig a little less. So you're actually able to pan the rig🙂
    Great videos, by the way👍

Yes these are all good points. When using volt since it’s stabilizing your horizon having the gyro perpendicular to the lens isn’t necessary. When using a volt I have the gyros orientation parallel with the lens so I can still tilt without it fighting me and then the volt handles the roll axis. However not everyone has the volt so there will be times people are going to choose more stabilization in the horizon and will need to orient the gyro perpendicular to the lens so that’s why I don’t bring up the volt in this video

They are on the way! I’m trying my best to put out information that isn’t out there on UA-cam currently and is relevant to the audience. Thanks for watching !

Thanks for watching! I tend to use them a lot more than one would expect. In the past I would rent one from a friend almost automatically after hearing that I'd be on the rooftop of a tall building shooting outside (the wind gets pretty intense on tall buildings) or out in the desert. Now that I own one I pretty much just keep it in my kit because you never know what situation you might run into. Besides wind I now use it whenever I need to do push ins/pull outs that need to feel like a dolly/technocrane in the sense that everything is dead center, symmetrical and perfect. I've also been using it more and more when I hard mount to a vehicle but I'm still figuring out what are the best situations to do so when it comes to hard mounting steadicam. Having a gyro is one of those things that you may not always be able to charge extra for, but you will be glad you have it because it'll make your shots look better and make your life easier. Plus you can rent it out to people in your area and make a little bit of money just by owning one. Hope that helps!
