We did the exact same technique for our van! Our original covers were just reflectix with magnets duck taped on but we upgraded last December by remaking them and covering with blackout fabric! Our vent fan cover we actually bought but love it!

Yes, so much nicer to have your own choice in colors/style.

My parents are rebuilding a van for camping, I'll definitely share this video with them! It's awesome!

I know this video is a year old but for anyone watching, you can get thermal suction cups to insert into the window covers thay keep them tighter against the window

We thought of doing that for our side window that doesnt have magnets. Good idea

We purchased them on amazon, you have to buy ones that are heavy duty enough to go through the plastic vent cover. Magnets:
Small ones for cover itself: a.co/d/0QX2GlL
Bigger ones with adhesive for fan plastic cover: www.amazon.com/dp/B07QJ6JMFV?...

Great job. I made covers for our front windshield and side windows in the front...about lost my religion!!!
But watching this and how you did it, I will probably attempt to make some for the fans, and maybe remake our front ones. This was a great help! Thanks!

Thank you! Mel did a good job explaining and the visuals hopefully help with the uncertain areas. If you have any questions or need something explained more let us know.

Hello from the UK - what a great job you have done on those, saved lots of money i would say. I have recently made some myself, just temporary ones out of reflectics. Keep up the great work, stay safe, ATB Dave 😎

Thank you’. Reflectix is always a good option to keep heat out. Thanks for watching. Stay safe too!😃👍🏻
