Boyet was not just a family friend but his mom and my mom were bestfriends. In fact his mom introduced my dad to my mom and they got married and lived happily for 52 years until my dad's demise in 2009. Thus, Boyet was not just a family friend but more of a brother to me and my siblings. In fact, my mom went tothe College of the Holy Ghost as they used to call it back then. WE love Boyet and his family is our family too. RIP our dear brother. We love you! My hugs and kisses for Tito Adi, Tita Rebe, Kuya Mel, Ate Emily and Kenneth. Same goes for my dearest Dad-- your Tito Terry.
This school should be preserved as a national historical site... 💖

Nakakalungkot ang pagsasara ng isang lumang eskwelahan at ang pagkawala ni Sir Boyet.😢 Inaabangan ko lagi yung segment niya sa TV Patrol, sobrang nakakalungkot.😢 Pakikiramay po sa pamilya. 😔
Nakakalungkot naman, yung dating classroom lang namin sa high school giniba ay ikinalungkot namin, yung buong school pa kaya na titigil sa operasyon. Dapat national treasure na ang mga ganyang katanda na paaralan...
You know you love history when you have not graduated in this school but still you feel sad immediately after hearing the news that after a century of molding the students to become the future of this nation, this school will come to an end. It's really make me sad honestly.

It's one thing to feel sad over the demise of an institution and another to realize that the person documenting its last days also died. Rest in peace, CHS and Boyet Sison.
5 of my nieces graduated from this school, nakakalungkot. Ito na rin pala ang magiging pamamaalam ni Sir Boyet sa mundo ng pagbabalita.As the student stressed it's not the structure but the values taught will always be remembered. Same with Sir Boyet he will be remembered for who he was not just the stories featured on his segment.
Dito sa college of Holy Spirit ako last na nagtake at naka passed ng CPA board examination at I am blessed dahil feeling ko Ang Holy Spirit ay napakalapit sakin dahil sa name ng school na eto, nakakalungkot naman . Sana me mag acquire na good and wealthy persons para Mai continue ang school ng Holy Spirit.

isa ako sa mga mga crew ng McDonalds mendiola (sa pagitan ng La Consolation at CEU) nung unang nag open, meron akong nakilala dun na naging kasama ko sa trabaho.. simple lang sya, mabait.. nakaka inspire sya dahil sa bukod sa JPIA president sya ng holy spirit nung time na yun, at meron syang inaalagaang matataas na grado, nag working student pa sya.. kahit na sandali ko lang sya nakasama noon, pero she inspires me.. nung time na yun na 2002 nangunguha ako ng board exam, siguro hindi nya alam pero isa sya sa mga naging dahilan sa pag pupursige kong maka pasa.. saan man sya naroroon sana nasa mabuti na syang kalagayan.. kagaya ng pag sasara ng Kolehiyo nf Holy Spirit nakaka lungkot dahil alam mong hindi na muli kayong magkikita..
Ang naalaala ko dyan nung nagwowork ako sa Merriam Webster bookstore in the 90's, ang gaganda ng mga estudyante dyan, mga mukhang anak mayaman. Napapatitig ako pag bumibili sila sa bookstore.
Sad to see the century old college have to close forever and also R.I.P to Mr. Boyet Sison. You will always be remembered.

The school should be treasured and be given full support by the National Government to continue and exist.

i heard about this university. at kahit hindi ako nag aral dito ramdam ko ang kalungkutan after watching the video. parang naiiyak ako coz i can feel what the former students feel. how they love this school coz they learned a lot and have memories studying here. i hope someday this university will open again.
Thank you for featuring this. I always say I’ll come back to visit but never had the chance since I graduated in 2002. Nkaka proud na wala nagbago, un chapel na inaakyat ko bago magklase ganun pa din. Will be forever proud as CHSian.

I graduated from this school and enjoyed my college life here tremendously. It broke my heart when my college friends told me our old school will be closing down for good 😔

This school has been the second home to thousands of students and teachers...the high school graduates excelled in all the 3 major universities here in the Philippines. The nuns taught all the girls well and helped produce doctors, nurses, lawyers and accountants who all were in the top ranks in the board exams. So proud that me and my sisters were schooled in this institution. The Spirit lives on...

I hope people who have been connected to this school before should help to continue the operation of this university because it is already a culture or tradtions of Philippine. Many students learn our culture from this university so our government can reopen or aid the Holy Sirit University to function again.
Running a school is not charity work but a normal business that requires capital, overhead expenses, depreciation and customers like students. Without enough customers, the school has to close down.
I graduate 2011 that time. 3 lang kami students. When we passed the board dumami ang graduate sa course namin. Kaso kunti pa din mga students nag enroll. then pandemic hits. Mas lalo na walang ng students. The allumni already donated alot of money. pero kulang pa din ang funds. Madami din scholars ng mga sisters. free din lodging and food ng mga scholars. I was also staying sa dorm inside the campus. Sa taas ng chapel doon ang dorm namin.
i can still remember our final coaching before our licensure exam for radtech held at the auditorium. i missed all may review classmates, considering that i am from mindanao and just came to manila for review and boards, the experiences i had was truly amzing. I hope someone is here 2019 toprank reviewers ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

My high school alma mater is also in the brink of closure .. Colegio de Sta. Rosa Manila. It is situated within the walled city of intramuros. It opened it’s doors in 1750.
One of the most notable alumnus is the mother of Dr. Jose Rizal.. Theodora Alonzo Realonda y Quintos.
The reason for closure is very low student enrollment.

Sana mabigyan ng Historical Marker mula sa National Historical Commission at pagkalooban din sana ng National Cultural Treasure mula sa National Museum at sana Chapel na lang ang maiiwan kahit sarado ang buong kolehiyo para kahit papaano makakapag-dasal at makapagsimba ang mga tao sa Chapel na ito at ito rin siguro ang magiging alternate church kung hindi makapagsimba sa dalawang simbahan sa loob ng Malacañang Complex ang St. Jude at San Miguel

Im really sad when i heard that my alma mater will be close on april 29. I still want to see my great great grandchildren to see this legacy that we Filipinos have. But too bad, it ends here. My child is just 7 years old now. The visual legacy ends here. I was a poor 17 year old girl from the province who had a 10 year old rich relative that lives near Holy Spirit. I took and picked her up over at that school so I know it from the outside. I left that job at 18 after graduating High School. Worked at the Post Office and attended FEU at night and had a Bachelor of Science in Commerce majoring in accounting. So ever Blessed to made it here in USA 45 years ago and became a very successful stock investor. Grateful, grateful, grateful!
So sad. The school must be preserved.
