since you are both talkative the natural back and forth is impeded by your knowledge of the movie. if you give us a first watch it would probably be a better video.
It came out a month after The Usual Suspects, which made him famous. I think it was a good idea by the studio to not mention him at all. There is no way that would happen now tho.
Too much talking, next time just let her enjoy the movie without checking to see if she understands what's going on every minute of the movie, not a channel for me. 🤔
I think you only see blood in one scene, on the floor writing out "greed" for the lawyer's killing/death. Other than that... I *think* that's all. But between "sloth" still being alive, and the method of death in "lust" even though you don't see anything, it's just alluded to... this movie is so fucking *gnarly*. I just... Fincher is so fucking incredibly talented. I love how creepy and unsettling this movie is with essentially no gore.
I'm not a lawyer but the insanity thing only works if you are found to be unable to understand that what you did was wrong because of your psychological state at the time of the murder. Mills would maybe get leniency, but he would not be able to plead insanity as he knew what he was doing and knew that it was murder. You also don't just have the charges dropped. You go into psychic care and depending on your psychic needs, can stay there indefinitely until the doctors are satisfied you're better (which can be longer than the sentence)
I rented this from the video store in the late ‘90s because I was a fan of its stars. I did not know who Kevin Spacey was, at the time. He does “creep” well…. At the time, this was the darkest film I’d ever seen, and I really liked how different and daring it was, from a storytelling standpoint as well as in its aesthetic. The NIN jagged grunge grimey-looking intro sequence tells you all you need to know. Imo, it’s a cult classic (for the strong of stomach) and holds up well all these years later.
Now that you have seen this you need to see Law Abiding Citizen. Good reaction and review. Just a suggestion - if one of you has seen it before do not lead the other to conclusions, best to not say anything
Michael Atteberry once said "Good reaction and review, just a suggestion, if one of you has seen it before, do not lead the other to conclusions, best to not say anything", I agree with the second part. 🤫
Yes, I was thinking the same thing. All of their talking, her mostly, didn't allow the climax or suspenseful ending to flow. A lot of what they were saying should have been saved until the movie was finished.
As many have noted, there was too much banter between the two of you, especially during the first half of this reaction. We watch to see you react to the movie, not conversing with each other. It seems like you're still getting started with this channel though, so I'm sure you'll find the right rhythm eventually. David Fincher's other early films, The Game and Fight Club, would also be excellent candidates to get your channel going. Good luck!
Since you like this......I think honestly the best movie of this century so far is LAW ABIDING CITIZEN with Gerard Butler and Jaime Foxx. Great Secondary cas as well. You will never forget it

I did not realize that Kevin Spacey wasn't in none of the credits, posters or anything.... Wow thank you for sharing that insight💯

Thanks for the feedback! We’re just starting out so we’re still working on how we react in our videos so I’ll definitely work on that!

And after him I picked the lawyer, and you must’ve both been secretly thanking me for that one…best cop vs. defense lawyer line ever.
