Looks solid and I can't imagine the official being any better than this. Bit torn on if I should go after Takara or FT... I love TB and I'd almost want one of each for bot and truck mode.
I've had this on order for a while, but from the early livestream I recently saw I have some concerns/complaints. Firstly, how hard is it to get the colours right? The arms/legs should be a darker grey, not that off-white colour. I'd hoped that was just the prototype, but alas it made it to production. Secondly, the articulation looks limited in key areas, specifically the arms. The ab crunch looks useless as well. The placement and appearance of the weapons is also off. I'll still get this, but I'm also getting the Takara version, which looks closer to the toon model and will almost certainly have superior articulation.
If you make a toy version with the right colours and a toy head, I would definitely buy it. I'd like the box to be in the usual Fans Toys style too, as I collect and display them.
This is so cool. Concerned with the bar the head is on and how it moves between the accessories. Also what other accessories will be come with? Will Hitch come with an alien mask like Sheridan?
I'd love to see these guys do an official ROADKING bot to truck transformation, even if there's a million others out there, nothing would surpass FT themselves and any footnotes everyone else may have missed.

The bot mode looks very good but even though the alt mod is somewhat accurate it's missing the top front window on the back cover of the truck. The engineering seems complex but not over the board and I trust your materials, paint and hardware. I would have liked to see you add some extra white colored G1 options for both the hand and shoulder canons. You should show us the articulation... I've been asking for this since you first started releasing this videos but you haven't done it yet. I get the feeling that since articulation is normally not your strong point you're afraid of the critics. If that is the case you shouldn't be afraid because constructive criticism is a good way to grow and evolve. Thanks for the instruction video FansToys.

Having seen pictures of the accessories, I'm sadly passing on this guy. I was 100% in if he had a toy-style head, but he doesn't have it as an option!
It's all great except i cannot overlook those square panels in the side of the hood. Just kills it for me in both modes.
