Just put a extra relais (230 or 110V) at the output and you don't have to modify the Sonoff at all. The extra relais will work as a voltage free switch.
Absolutely! I was just too lazy to figure out how to power it. Your solution will also work well if you wanted to switch a really high power consumption item like a geyser or something...
Hey Robert. Thanks for the question. This is the reason I had to cut the circuit board. The 220v does not get relayed to the motor or switch. Instead, I short the relay for half a second to mimic pressing the push to make button.
@@We-R-Racing Thanks for your reply, and I have one more doubt. I heard that the Basic model is also having the inching mode with update of new version. Is that true?
Yes it does. That is the function I use to "pulse" the switch. I also created a routine in Google that responds to "open the garage door" although it will open or close no matter if it is already open... it just activates the switch...

@Ismael Derrick flixportal :D
@Elijah Jadiel Thank you, signed up and it seems to work :) Appreciate it !
@Ismael Derrick Glad I could help :D
Sonoff input îs connect to 220 v and output to the motor? 😬

So instead of doing modification on Basic model, does using the new R3 model solve our problem?
Indeed. It wasn't available at the time of the video, plus I already bought 4 so I had them...

Great thanks
Hi what was the mods? Do you need mods for R2, it has itching settings. T
The only mod really is the circuit we cut, so that the relay became a pulse switch instead of switching through the power...
