The audio quality coming from this phone is a banger! I was totally surprised how good it is!

@@zuluswazi9470my take on the audio is, out of the box I was very disappointed and it sounded tinny. But there's an equaliser and once you tweak it, the sound is awesome!
Side by side next to the Pixel 8 Pro, it's better. The X14 is clearer, P8P sounds more muffled and hollow.
Spatial separation is great too, it has atmos and makes a huge difference if you turn it off.
In my opinion iPhone 15 Pro has the best speakers of any phone I've heard, more bass and richness than anything else. X14 isn't on that level, but it's not too far off and I'm certainly not disappointed.
Casual listening to music of any genre is very pleasant and TV, videos, etc it's all round great.

Better and cheaper than the S24. At least it's a one handable phone with solid cameras, great scereen real estate and good enough battery life. If you're tired of big phones, this one's for you.

Is this a better option than the OnePlus 12? I think OP 12 has the upper hand in Display and Battery life, may be software to some extent.

i bought the xiaomi 14pro 1tb 16gb version back in november, it come with a 120w charger, screenprotector and case out of the box and actually i got the big gift package box with bluetooth earbuds and a notes book with a beautiful design pen. All this for 700 euro is crazy cheap. I was blown away by the night mode and the camera capability. This phone is all i ever wished for. Finally i can put down my heavy camera gear on travels and just use my phone for most of the stuff its perfect. Close enough to the professional camera.

I love how you're the few reviewers who mentions and showcases shutter speed and freeze frame images. Because for a lot of phones, it's an archilles heel that people don't talk about.
We're finally getting there along the best of the game which is Samsung, iPhone and Huawei. I love Xiaomi, since my Redmi Note 4 years ago.

Xiaomi 14 checks all the boxes of what I'm looking for. Great camera, flagship chipset, great design and build, perfect size (not too big not too small), good battery life and many more. However I'm still very skeptical of the software. I used mi9t and mi11 and all those years, I never had a bug-free software. I badly wanted this device but I dont know if hyperos would be a huge improvemenr from miui
I just got this phone and to be honest it feels almost same as MIUI. It will probably have ssome bugs here or there for now but I dont think it shoulb be a problem... plus you get those promo things with Xiaomi lauchnes if you buy it now.
Im using poco f5, switch from miui to hyperos, the os sucks, heating issue resulting in throttling

I actually think so too! This is where the Xiaomi excels, as it offers flexibility especially when you look at its ISO range. It's one hell of a camera phone!

@@yan9040I just got the Xiaomi 14, and frankly it's better than the S24. Thermal management is better and I feel that it have a better battery life. I'm testing it...
I would choose Snapdragon over Exynos any day.

have both the s24 and and mi 14 (cn) variant, and i have to say, the xiaomi phone is so much more fun to use as a phone. battery life is pretty good, fast charging and the screen is gorgeous compared to my s24. camera is obviously better on the xiaomi vs the my s24 or even the iphone 15 pro my gf has. i cant stress at how good this phone is.

I have a question .. you're in a cold place while taking video right?? you don't have fog problem inside the main lens when taking a video ??? I just bought this phone and fresh out of the box I got fog inside my main lens while recording , and its not even that cold , im recording in a room with 24 degrees AC in Malaysia

I just got mine yesterday, I went with the China variant as it is cheaper than the global variant (640 vs 830 usd). Installed google apps and boom! Good thing the hyperOS china version has a toggle to enable google services so setting it up was a breeze. (Plus updates will be way quicker since it is china variant 😅)
Cameras impressed me just after a couple of quick snaps. I still need to check all the features.
I went from poco f5 pro to Xiaomi 14 but the only thing I miss from my poco was the screen. The 523ppi is really something vs this 460ish I think? Viewing angles and colors are also more vivid on the f5 pro. I will still tinker more settings on this 14.
OS? Im used to miui and never had issues with it. The HyperOS on the f5 pro is so smooth but the one on this 14 is even more. Apps open even faster due to more powerful hardware I believe.
After 24hrs, really really impressed.
HyperOS for me is worse compared to miui 14, i use F5, heat and battery is worse, due to that performance took a big hit
China roam is $200 cheaper in my area. However Im skeptical with china rom cos they say, some banking apps wont work and also, there are things that remain in chinese
@@Jason-ow7pr sad to hear that on the f5, the f5 pro had a bug on the initial hyperOS too but got fized a week later after a new update. Hopefully they optimize it more on the f5 too.

I'm thinking to ditch my Pixel 8 Pro and get the Xiaomi 14. Have you done any head to head camera comparisons with the two?
As much as the P8P can take great shots and has an excellent camera system, it is far too bulky and the images are just over processed.
I recently pulled out my old Huawei P10 with Leica cameras and there's just a realness and purity in photos it takes, compared with what Pixels produce.
And? What did you end up doing? I order the xiaomi 14 but was thinking of getting the pixel since I currently own a pixel 7
@@AEF6P2 my Pixel developed a constant microphone problem where callers couldn't hear me clearly and the USB port has issues with charging, so it's going back. I got the Xiaomi 14, loving it in every way and the cameras are amazing. However the lenses have condensation problems 😢
I got the standard response from xiaomi that it's normal under certain circumstances. It feels the factory was flooded and devices have moisture inside out of the box. Very disappointing, but I am hoping that it can dry out. If I get it replaced the new one might have the same problem...

I actually quite like the xiaomi operating system. I think it is the most smooth and easiest one to use, one that is better than that of samsung. With regard to cameras, given it is collaborating with leica, I am not surprised it is doing a great job, though I prefer iPhone for the easy navigation and personal familarity, I am impressed by the fast shutter speed. 14 has a sky blue version, and I think that color is the coolest in terms of not only the hue but also the sense. 😊 # 小米
Two things that would make this phone PERFECT:
1) MicroSD Expansion slot
2) Two stage shutter button for the camera.

Great device. Still suffering from bad audio quality due to the heavy noise processing though. Especially with external mics.
I'd suggest one to consider investing in a DJI mic if planning to do a lot of vloggin.
@@LimReviews because of the record directly on the mic itself. Yeah that is true. But still does not fix the Xiaomi 14. Anyway I have plenty of mics already that work fine on other devices.

Very handy if can use it in desktop mode for onthego presentation...
For now. Xiaomi only support clone image not like samsung dex. Maybe xiaomi will make it for mi series next time or new hyper os will support desktop mode
