'TWINNY,' a developer of autonomous mobile robots
Autonomous robot has emerged as a core element for the future distribution industry. And the commercialization of autonomous robots has been accelerated.
TWINNY is a developer of autonomous mobile robots which can be used conveniently by anyone. And the robots of the company have gained recognition in the field.
“Nargo,” which is one of the main items of the company, is an autonomous mobile robot that can find the destinations by itself. Therefore, it is mainly used for the transportation of objects. The robot has an embedded 3D LiDAR sensor, so it can recognize the surrounding environment more accurately. Unlike the commercialized robots with 2D LiDAR sensors that can only recognize the cross secton of objects, it can recognize its locations more accurately.
“Targo” is a target-following robot that can move things by following humans. In the case of other target-following robots, they generate a lot of noise and have poor performances. However, the embedded RGB-D camera can recognize objects more accurately and avoid obstacles.

대표 제품 중 또 다른 자율주행 로봇인 ‘따르고’는 사람을 따라다니며 물건을 운반하는 대상추종 로봇이다. 기존 추종 로봇에 장착된 카메라는 노이즈가 많고 성능이 떨어진다는 단점이 있지만 ‘따르고’에 부착된 RGB-D 카메라는 사용자를 정확하게 인식하고 장애물을 회피할 수 있다.
이러한 자율주행 로봇과 플랫폼 서비스를 개발하여 삶을 한 층 더 편리하게 만들어주고 있는 기업 ‘트위니’를 찾아간다.
