So someone's already mentioned it in the comments below, but JJP are playing a game where they need to match vocab- standard with accented. For ppl more familiar with Korean culture, it's basically satoori. In Japanese it's called hougen. They're based off regions in Japan, e.g. In the Kansai region of Japan, Kansai-ben is spoken (Osaka-ben is the same thing) and in Fukuoka Hakata-ben, most used in Kyushu region of Japan, is spoken. My Korean and Japanese isn't the best but from what I could tell, JB's section has the standard words and Junior's section has the dialects
You can tell where the word is from when they show you their pair and say _____-de or _____-no (with the name of the place filling in the blank) Some of the words they matched (in order): fukuoka's bari - sugoi (amazing) fukuoka's suitouyo - suki (like) fukuoka's hayosenne - hayakushinasai [(be) faster/quicker] after which JB stretched and said, 'well JB TV will be ending now then...' bc Junior was doing too well 😂 then there was one for aishiteru I think, couldn't hear properly then clearly JB hid the card and gave it up reluctantly, Junior said since he's doing so well it's not very fun (to watch) osaka's eeyan - iine (good) osaka's meccha - cho (super/very) JB misread cho lel^ then JB didn't get a match for arigatou (thanks) so he told Junior to try with the one he wrongly matched: akan (and omg junior's pose with his finger in his mouth) also suspicious junior is wary lmao he pointed out JB's eye contact with staff(?)
then he chose ganbatte (to do your best/try hard/persevere) which did not match with the prev. word and JB followed up on that by saying ganbattemashita (you tried your best) and ganbattekudasai (please do your best) and looks very smug that Junior was finally struggling like he was heh and then in Korean, JB: 'what do you think?' Jr. : 'this isn't it' JB: 'try it' so Jr. Ends up going for dame (no) And since JB be giggling Jr. is suspicious and says 'truthfully (is it wrong)?' and JB says yes, truthfully it's wrong AND THEN SELF-TRANSLATE INTO ENGLISH: 'THIS IS TRUE' my fav bit lmao
next is takusan (a lot) which JB got wrong So Jr. suggested ookini (cause it sounds like big) but it's wrong So JB tried matching ookini with totemo (very) but it's wrong Have no idea what Jr. said in Korean, but he matched the word bicycle Jr. says ookini --> oishii?? , took one look at the staff and went ah, so it's different and JJP laughed JB matched ganbare - ganbareya/n and umaka - oishii (yum/tasty) then Jr. asked him how he figured that one out and JB explained that he reasoned with prev. matches?? not sure
then JB moves into honma, which Jr. suggested ? but then said no, it's wrong and JB finished the match by saying honma - hontou (really) Jr. interrupts JB, who was preparing to match takusan, with the revelation of the similarity of otou- oton (father) Jr. questioning ookini --> takusan (once again bc ookini sounds like big and takusan means a lot) but once again is wrong JB suggest ookini - okaasan but it's wrong Then playfully suggests arigatou And both are surprised that ookini - arigatou (thanks) Jr. matches okan - okaasan (he realizes the similar sounds with okan/oton) JB matches atatakai - nekui (warm) Jr. says torihada, JB asks what it means, gets the translation and successfully matches with another word I can't make out and is slightly curious that torihada isn't satoori (bc it sounds like Korean satoori I think)
then they solve a few more AND WOW I CANT BELIEVE THEY SAY SATOORI AT THE END ANYWAY I didn't need to go into such depth 😩 This is what happens when you don't watch till the end and it's 3AM lmao
