Shout out to Monte Cook! 19 years later , my players and I have these kind of stories about Return to the Temple of Elemental Evil. Preparing to run Ptolus very soon. How I stumbled on this channel.
Such a wonderful conversation. Like the ones I've had with my players around a table about our old campaigns. It goes to show that these kinds of experiences shape all of our games. Can't wait to check out the Ptolus update!
I was hoping we'd get a round table like this. What great groups these must've been. Between reading both campaign chronicles and years of my own adventures in Ptolus, I feel like I know these places and characters as well as the original players. (I remember all of the names they've forgotten, too. ;) ) That's a testament to how great a setting Ptolus is, and what a phenomenal product it is. My copy from its original publication is still the best product I've ever purchased. I can't wait to enjoy the new iteration.
The play adventure where the mobsters relative wants to sing is the plot of "Bullets over Broadway", which "Sing 2" also borrowed from. I love finding a way to put an interesting movie/book plot into a rpg adventure :-)
This was very interesting and would like to see more like this for sure. On a different topic are the Game Design Seminars from the original Numenera kickstarter available anywhere? I am very interested in watching those as I have an itch to start designing. If not currently available you should think about making them available again as I know quite a few people around DFW area that would buy it!
Wow this was fun!! It would be lovely if you all could play a short season of the new version together! We rarely see Chris playing this days.
great show guys! Thanks for sharing this.

In urban Spanish Ptolus means Lightport. Pto = Puerto = Port, Lus = Luz = Light

Hello, will there be any retail pledge levels?
Hi
There is a retail level available... It's called "Noble"
Perkins please leave wotc, you have so much more to give.
It's D&D 5e...you should convert The Return to the Temple of Elemental Evil. A pinnacle of D&D. Xagyg would be proud
Undead means Alive, i dont now why it is related to Vampires and Zombies.
The idea is that they are given a false life. The word is meant to imply a different state of being dead.
Anyone wants to hear stories hit me up
