- Anita had not been in Polar Zoo in about 2 months. When she returned i had the chance to film her first meeting in a long time with the wolves she spent a long time socializing from 16th of May 2008. The video is recorded in Polar Zoo and any questions related to socializing process should be taken with them. For more information about the socialized wolf pack go to www.polarzoo.no
For anyone who keeps saying "why does she have her mouth open?", it's taught you greet wolves with your mouths and keeping it open is a sign of respect, and friendliness to them. Our middle school brought in wolves and they told us they might come up to us and lick our mouths and we shouldn't turn away or keep it close because it might anger them or think you're unfriendly. It's a weird idea but Wolves and dogs are able to understand more about you by the smells and tastes in your mouth which is why dogs tend to lick you and can be a sign of happiness or a bond.
It’s so funny how they’re so aggressive towards each other but so gentle to her. I guess they really do consider her their mother
She's the real life version of the quote
Anita: "I did a lot of french kissing this past weekend."
The fact that they're all wagging their tails rapidly is what makes this video so wholesome.
”If You Feed A Wolf For 8 Days It Will Not Forget You For 8 Years”
Fascinating, I would have shit myself.
Fun fact: Wolf lick other wolf mouth shows that they accept you in their pack. Same goes to human its mean you are one of them.
You can see how on top of her game she is. At every instant she is totally aware of every minute shift in the surrounding social hierarchy and is surprised by nothing as it comes up. Even when the two in front of her face got into a snarl she put her hands up not in shock but just to protect her face. I am in awe at the level of badassery.
She's alpha as fuck
Lady:
they get so possessive competing for her attention and kisses that they snarl at each other, they still are Wild
Wolves are always happy to see a member of the pack that they thought had been lost.
I see why our ancestors decided to domesticate them.
along time ago, man and wolf looked at each other going
We have a pack of timber wolves on my property on the Olympic Peninsula, and when we get out there for camping trips we get this every time. I am always honored to have this friendship with them.
Imagine someone trying to attack the girl at this very moment.
Interesting that the wolves exhibited dominance behavior between themselves, but not towards Anita.
Wolfs: "You stup'd homo sapiens, we missed you"
I have a German Shepard mix wolf and believe me he is the most over protective dog I have ever known, when I got covid19 he was on my side and never left my side he even followed me to restroom and back to the bed and when I was depressed of being isolated he would cheer me up
