This is similar to how my ingrown toenail looked before I got it removed it started about a year before and we all thought it would just heal itself cause most people say as long as you don’t mess with them and their minor they usually will but I kept messing with it and it kept getting a little worse little by little till it got like this and I decided I had to go to get it removed. One of the biggest reliefs of my life. I think mine went more towards the bottom of my toe than into my foot though

I've been to the podiatrist a couple of times and he only "rounded" the corners, cutting really short, saying my ingrown toenail is in the top, that I'll be fine if I keep cutting them that way. I just can't, with his cut a get a relief that lasts 15 days and that it starts swelling and hurting, with no visible nail to cut. What should I do?
@@dearbooy I'd recommend telling them this a scheduling an acid treatment. Basically they put acid into the nail matrix, the part that grows the nail, and it permanently prevents ingrown nails.

Dr. Wagner, can this happen on fingers? I have a thumb nail that grows a sliver of a nail beside the main nail. I pull it out and for days it is very sore.

When they cut it, the movement loosens it, it's kind of like a hangnail, it becomes flimsy.

This Zadax procedure usually just grows back. You have to remove the whole nail.
