ThePackAirsoft Not at all. Airsofter's use it to be used in carrying equipment and only that. Shooters use it for actual projectile protection. Two different uses.
Fool Meister You aren't getting what I'm saying. Durability isn't as crucial as to airsofters compared to real steel shooters. Airsofters fill the pouches with BB's, we fill them with real rounds. It's just different. Also, airsofters aren't going to know the plate carrier as well as someone who's used it in more strenuous conditions. Airsofters need to put "Airsoft" in the title.
Good video, thanks for posting. I'm a fairly big guy 6ft 220lb, I think I'm sold on the 6094 but can't decide if the a or b size is what I need. There's nothing I can find on the web that compares lbt sizes or a guide for lbt size to body measurement. If any one knows a link I could go to can you post? This also could be an idea for an episode?
Hey Riptide can you bring that 6094 up to Intrigue Thursday or Friday? If it's not too much to ask, I'd like to try it on and see what I think before I consider buying one. I would appreciate it bro.
+DFA Tomcat +DFA Tomcat I dont think it was the right size. I cant believe thats a 6094A model cause ive seen the A model on guys, even Green mountain has a vid on it and its tiny. That has to be a B or C model. Either that or the mayflower is a smaller size. eithwer way one of those aint holding a 10x12 lol
The size of that LBT is what C? for 11x14 plates ? and the APC is what small for 8X10 plates? If i order a smaller size like an A for the LBT will the carrier be bit shorter and not so tall? or all of the carriers have the same height ?
MAKO TV So all LBT 6094 sizes "A,B and C" are around the same height ? Will it be too big on me ? I'm 6,2 and have around 23,6 inches to 25 inches from waist to clavicle.
When you go to lbtinc.com and look up the 6094, you have the options of Medium, Large and Extra Large. The Medium(A) takes small to medium plates, the Large takes Large plates and so on. I would suggest going with a 6094 B or C based on your body type. They have some reviews on their site you can check out as well. Their customer is top notch.
+kegannff +kegannff I cant believe thats a 6094A. The 6094A will only hold a medium swimmers cut. Where as the 6094B is for the standard medium or large SAPI plates. So you would not be able to get a regular medium in that carrier if it were an Alpha. Unless that is a Gen 1 version which the 6094A Gen 1 was designed for Medium and Large E-SAPI's. But the Gen 2s have been out for like 5 years now. Atleast this is per LBT Inc.
Do lots of guys actually run around wearing SAPI plates to play airsoft? I'm completely ignorant to the airsoft world and only own real guns so I'm genuinely curious.. Or are they replicas just for look and feel? Seems to me like a lot of cash to drop on high end carriers and plates if you're not training live ammo and guns as well. (I'm sure a bunch do both)MAKO TV
We do airsoft and "real steal". We like the high end stuff because it lasts longer. I personally run sand filled repro plates. However, many others run real plates. Thanks for the comment!
lots of us do real steel in our spare time and milsim. either well put in our real plates or we'll run a set of dummy plates just to fill out the plate carrier
Not knocking your review bud, yours is the only comparison that showed up, you use you gear for a different purpose than me this is directed at my military folks, but the 6094 comes in 3 maybe 4 different sizes (call LBT direct, they are very helpful and give you a good discount)… For the guys out there spending your own money to get better gear than what your unit is passing out, I have used both in training. If i was running just a basic combat load or recon load with an IFAK and radio I would go with the Mayflower. I have to run way more than that so when I had to choose I went with the 6094, I could shove more gear in it (PV panels, maps, radio, and two mags in the cummerbund, although a 152 sits almost in your armpit if in the cummerbund). If your loaded with commo, SSE, and the kitchen sink Id go LBT if your lucky enough to stay pretty slick I like the Mayflower more. 9 months downrange and the LBT held up great, one small tear in the packcloth that lines the back fixed with riggers tape and cummerbund untied itself once after about 3 months so i wrapped the knot with riggers tape and routinely inspected.
Every time I think it's going to be a legit review it turns out to be airsofters!!!
Same for me except its cocky target shooters
Why would that matter? It's used the same exact way
ThePackAirsoft Not at all. Airsofter's use it to be used in carrying equipment and only that. Shooters use it for actual projectile protection. Two different uses.
AmnScottNN it's the same thing except with heavier plates bro

I own a Mayflowr APC and I love it very much
how tall is the carrier?
+CritixEDM Depends on what size it is. The APC have two size, S/M and L/XL.

6094a for sure

It's not Riptide's 6094. It's Kilroy's.
Is that the small medium APC or the large xl?
what size is the mayflower? it looks really small compare to LBT 6094!
in what size was the lbt 6094? do they make them in small
Hey are yall gonna post another ironclad vid?
Well what size is the lbt?
Holy crap airsoft people? Where the hell are the legit reviews?
I hate when this happens
I want legitimate reviews too
Gear Talk-Chest Rigs or Plate carriers
Dang. I didnt realize the APC was so small compaired to a 6094.
+DFA Tomcat It's about the size of an AVS.

+mmaviator22 The APC is a S\M and the 6094 is an A. I own a 6094A in DCU, M81 and MG. Only the As fit me being a shorter guy.

MAKO TV I was seeing Green mountain rangers loadout review, they use an LBT 6094 A and seems much smaller in relation to yours

What the admin pouch called? Thanks FHA
does the APC not come with clips for their placards
No sir. You will have to buy them separately.
Mine did.
Actually It does come with two buckles my friend just got one
They do
I thought the 6094 also had side plate pockets too...
+Gabriel Ascencio Some do.
should have compared the DPC also..

600$ for a plate carrier to play airsoft. Lol

Also very nice addition… ferroconcepts.com/collections/new/products/fc-m4-kts-kydex-triple-shingle
No insult taken. This was just a basic run down for airsofters. I personally own 2 LBT 6094As. Thanks for the additional input.
