I love that you take pride in projects! By removing stickers, and taking the time to hand stitch the leather, or making sure the end DYI's don't look slapped together is what puts you heads above some of the other channels. Prayers for your Mom!

I found a $5 bill in some jeans I bought for my daughter at a thrift store. I donated the money back to the thrift store. After telling a friend that I found money, she said there is a ministry out there that puts money in thrift store clothes for people who are struggling financially.
Seriously?? I'm going thrifting more!! Single mom of two teens with a father that doesn't pay child support ( after I took care of him for 19 years just to have my health ruined, my mind a absolute mess, cheated on for 2 years at the end and given a std to remember his affair by for life and he hasn't seen the kids since the day I left him two years ago. Didn't call or text and now is a junkie with a girl 12 years younger that walked out on her LITTLE kids. We had teens, but still. She doesn't see her 4 year old and gave her up to her ex. That she was married to while screwing my man at work in my car. He moved in with her the day I left him. Well I kicked him out. He lied for another 3 months saying he was living at his dad's. Still trying to play games with me. That was the 4th and final time that last year I left and took him back,). Yeah life sucks but I don't deal with his compulsive lying, compulsive stealing ( even money and medicine from me that I needed to live and not kill myself from the daily severe pain) all to get high with her on it and have sex. He's the one that had the kind of luck to find things like that, not me. No I'm honest and do the most for everyone and all I get is screwed over. Life isn't fair sometimes. Still waiting for it to get better. But honestly is just gotten worse in different ways. We live with my dad now bc my dad lost our house he paid for. My ex used me bc for 17 of our 19 years together my dad paid the mortgage on our house. He owned it. Free rent for my ex. Who WAS in the union making $30 a hour then. Now he lost his job bc of drugs n works for cash to avoid paying child support. And since my daughter is now 19 he would only have to pay for our 16 year old son. But nope. Bc of meth and the psycho he's with now he lost everything too.
I can't even get help to save my life on any kind of housing help. Honestly been thinking it would be easier if I were just gone so I don't end up being a burden on my daughter. I was trying to make diy crafts n decor to sell but I can't do anything "loud" here bc of my dad. And bc I do my best creative work at night when my pain is the lowest it really has been the one thing holding me back. I can't even spray paint in the garage after 7 pm because my dad is so afraid the neighbors will hear it! Wth🤷🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️

@@babethebuilder1 Your story touched my heart. There are all kinds of decisions we make in life and sometimes they are bad. But don't let that hold you back. Keep trying and know that the Good Lord created you in his image and so as a creative person, you can use those skills to make beautiful things too. Sorry about your husband ruining your life. But that's in the past and you have a wonderful future waiting for you as you learn from those bad decisions of the past. But leave them there and make a better future for you and your family. Don't be bitter, be better. God bless you sweet lady!
Crafty Dutchess Wow! I just read your story and I'm like what the hell was your ex husband thinking!!! You know what girl, forget him!! Point blank!! God sees EVERYTHING!! Okay? Thank goodness your kids are not little babies who wouldn't understand what's going on. They are old enough to know what's going on and that it's not your fault that it was there dad who messed up. And in a few years time those kids will be married or in college and have a life of there own and you can move into your own apartment. Or you know what? God might even send you a nice Christian man your way. On to better things ahead girl. Okay? I was married myself for 20 years and the last 4 I slept on the sofa cuz he was a total jerk. My only child is a daughter and she was 19 at the time. She understood that he was to blame for a lot of what happened and the divorce. So I after 4 years a met a man much older than me but an awesome caring Christian man. I prayed for someone to love me the right way for 4 months after my whole ordeal and God answered my prayers. So don't give up. Good things will come.

I’ve found money numerous times in various clothing items and always donate it back to the Salvation Army or the Goodwill.

I am so impressed that you managed to make SEVEN decor pieces out of one leather bag! That's a feat in itself but to do it and create high-end looking decor pieces is what makes this even more so. Your attention to detail is a real plus too especially when it comes to finishing (ie., using the implement to make straight edges on the leather fabric). The pillows were my favourite but they all were great, to be honest.

My favorite was using the purse to make center panel on the pillow. very cool. I once bought a full length leather coat at a good will. It was so soft and supple I couldn't leave it there even though it was too small for me. I took the coat and recovered an accent chair that had wood arms and legs, kind of mid century style. I love how it turned out. Kathy

Your little sewing tool is called a seam ripper. It sure comes in handy for all kinds of jobs epically when you make a mistake and have to take out your stitches.

I'm sure that your me space will be beautiful and relaxing. You are so creative. I like the brick wall idea as well as tour colored wall at the head of your bed. Both ideas add a relaxed theme to your room.

I watched to the end. Haven't heard about your Mom, but she will be in my prayers. You are such a sweet person. You need time for yourself, we all do. Something I never did in my past and I sure had hard times as a single parent and health problems with my elderly mother before she passed. Now I am the elderly person and I am raising my two granddaughters. Still no time for myself, but that's ok. Stay strong and I hope things will be good and always take time for yourself.

my mother was infamous for hiding money in her purse...when she passed, a neighbor asked if she could have her purses, knowing my mom hid money in them...I told my brother where to look to get the cash out...I told him to turn the purses inside out and call the neighbor over to get the purses...when she saw them turned inside out, she decided she didn't want them ... lol on her

Wow what a find. I am glad that needle was capped. I bought a leather coat yrs ago and my son puts motor cycles together and rebuilds them, he needed to cover a seat so I gave him my leather coat and he made a new seat out of it. I love to repurpose things God bless
