oh man remember seeing this when i was 7 and i thought it was so sad, sweet, and frightening. taught me how cruel the world is. viewers right now think disney channel went down hill when high school musical and hanna montana came along. to me, it went downhill after this movie, Avonlea, Ocean Girl, and Mickey Mouse Club were gone :(
This movie and Avonlea were fantastic. This is absolutely the most influential movie of my childhood. I think it's magical that my daughter loves it as well.
The world isn't entirely cruel. Cruelty is only one facet. There are plenty of good people, and you are one of them. You have what it takes to make this world a better place
@@kenley8385 apartheid in South Africa and racial segregation in the US were not the same. Black Americans or African Americans have always been a minority race since slavery. The passive black majority in South Africa allowed the European to come in and rule over them and mistreat them. Self hate has been the downfall of Africa throughout the ages and it still exists today.
Peter Scolaris portrayal of the bridge between how the boys have been taught and how they should have been taught is excellent! I know these folks are only actors but he stands by his beliefs and doesn’t let peer pressure from his superiors challenge his integrity
Our race is always tolerant and forgiving of the others but we are still treated like animals. When we cry inequality, the others races tell us shut up because things are different now.
Things may be a little better now compared to what it was like back then, but we still have a long way to go. I like to think of the human race like a bag of M&M's. They may be different colors on the outside, but underneath the hard candy shell, they're all the same. We may have different colored skin on the outside, but underneath the skin, we're all the same. And until we all realize that and until we stop judging people by their color and start judging people by their actions and their conduct, things will never get better. No race is perfect. Every race has good and bad in it. I think this movie has the perfect title "Perfect Harmony". I like the ambiguity of it. On one hand, the title refers to the harmony of the music, and on the other hand it refers to the harmony between the different races.
I like how his reaction to the bomb was NO MORE!!!
I remember seeing this fresh back in 1991, and *I STILL* remember that part!!
@@jmiller297i saw it in Christian summer camp.
Justin and Eugene were beautiful 😍
One of my favorite movies when I was a kid.
