Kessler/Sexton for D Lo/Hayes (and/or Reddish) plus draft capital.... Sexton has an extra year on his deal compared to D Lo (which Ainge should want to move off of), plus Utah already owns a 1st from LA w protections (removing those protections could help get a deal done).

Austin Reeves is just a very good player. He's not a star. He's not an all star and he's not an untradeable player. I think they are expecting too much from Austin this year. He's like a Michael Cooper type guy. Very good supporting cast, but not expected to take a lead role. Just my point of view.
100% disagree he has untapped potential and I believe at his peak ceiling he will be an all-star because he defends he can shoot he has a great handle and he's 6'5 going into his 3rd year playing alongside a legend remember you are the company you keep.

Austin averaged 15.9 points per game last year. He should be in or approaching the prime of his career but the consensus is he needs to work on his conditioning. Average or below average on defense. I don't see him as an elite player or all star.
You’re right in not seeing Reaves as an elite player or all star, because he isn’t.
At best, he’s a solid bench player that’s been forced into the starting lineup, because the Lakers haven’t had any better options.
Putting all of that pressure on Austin is like the anti-Phil Jackson. It's the opposite of smart intuition, to take a player coming from a "down" season and hype their next season to such a ridiculous degree that they can't beat expectations because you set them so high. Players love to feel like underdogs. Pelinka should know that.

Set the bar high. Austin might not become like Jalen Brunson, but given AR's mental makeup, I think setting high standards is good. Anyone who has played team sports with a coach good at motivating people would know this.

Michael Robinson: trade for him, at this point in the lakers you are no gonna get a good deal, that's obvious and at this point you have to take chances and Robin is one that I'm willing to take.
Reeves take the lip: I mean I don't mind but man Rob I just talking and no helping the guy, what has he done to make sure reeves is in the best position to succeed, has he brought a defender that takes the responsibility of Point of attack so Austin doesn't have to, as he trade dlo for a better complement for austin, no there is not hart bridges or OG on this team to help austin so he can focus on Offense. Rob expect the guys to save his a$$
I would rather Wendell Carter if possible. Can shoot the 3 comfortably, plays really good defense (against Jokic too) and +270lbs

You have to pair AD with tenacity, not just size. AD’s biggest weakness as a franchise centerpiece is not health, it’s his lack of a consistent motor over 82. If Robinson is an active, aggressive, tenacious big like Dwight then I say yes, but if he’s just big but kinda slow like Drummond then I say no.

I'd pass. Two main problems, Lakers don't have expendable players to pair with draft capital and most important, there are way more important roles missing on the roster, 2way wing an 2way guard. Spending assets in trading for a backup center before you solve those would be insanity, he will mostly play on the reg season, AD's minutes go way high in the playoffs, when it matters. You'd have 14M sitting on the bench on the playoffs, most of the time. This role is more a vet min to tax payer MLE, they could've gotten Plumlee, for example, that went for a vet min to the Suns. Mitchell would be an overcorrection to Pelinka messing up with the roster spots, with unnecessary player options and too many kids that need years of development on a win now team.
Max and Vincent are our two way guards. We need bigs.
