This is officially my favorite case now. Close one between this and the Sheath, but I think I like the Synthesis better now. The magnets are strong, I think you're exaggerating the wallet thing a little. I've had that exact wallet (in black) on mine and it works great. Stays on fine.
I mean, it's not exaggerating, it's literally demonstrated in the video. I wish I still had last year's case for the 14 Pro to show how much better it was.
Thanks! It’s truly disappointing that the magnets seem to be weaker on both cases based on your test. You’d figure they’d be improving on them rather than going the other way. I rocked the Sheath for my 14 Pro and really liked it because of no finger prints, but now having second thoughts with those magnets.
@@pedrogriffin1934 hey there! No worries about the magnets. They're not in any way weak. The magnets we use in this case are actually quite a bit stronger than the magnets in Apple's own cases. And this isn't just a guess on our part, but a direct measurement of the magnetic strength. Two underappreciated points in this respect though: 1. Apple specifically warns third party case manufacturers not to go overboard on magnetic strength because it may have an impact on some of the parts in the phone's camera system. A lot of UA-camrs (and frankly companies) focus just simply on magnetic strength, but from a product design perspective, there's definitely more to consider. It's not as if Apple couldn't put an even stronger magnet in their own cases and on their phones. They don't do that for a reason. 2. Some companies will tout strong magnets, but what they don't mention is the heat resistivity of their magnets. Magnetic strength is susceptible to high temperatures. In our experience, we've noticed degradation in the magnetic strength of competitor cases, and it's possibly due to this issue (as a result of being exposed to high temperatures while, say, constant wireless charging, being subjected to direct sunlight, running processor intensive apps, etc.). We use high grade neodymium magnets that specifically have a more robust heat resistance profile than magnets typically used in these applications. Hope this helps!
@@pedrogriffin1934 it's fine. I have the wallet and it works great on both my Synthesis and Sheath in daily use. The magnets are strong although the Synthesis is slightly stronger. A couple other cases I tried have magnets that are stronger. I think ESR and one other brand, I can't remember the name. But, the Sheath and Synthesis magnets are plenty strong and I like their other attributes better, magnets aside.
Ordered the case after watching your review! Thanks!

Y u like it better?
weight? thanks
40g
Which one is slimmer the Sheath or the Synthesis?
Synthesis definitely feels slimmer
