2:16 she’s gets a steal and has 8 seconds left, they’re down 2, and there’s somebody wide open for an easy layup. Yet she takes a half court shot. It makes me wonder if she knew what was going on, luckily she made it though

That entire sequence was incredibly dumb. The yellow player shouldn't have passed and shouldve run out the clock, leading to the steal which ended in the questionable half court shot. Just dumb all around but it worked out in the end.
The whole sequence is so dumb.
First, the player in yellow who has the ball in the start of clip shouldn't have passed. She easily could've tried to wind down the clock.
Second, the player who got the steal should passed to her open teammate to guarantee the bucket, as she had a open layup, or if she really wanted to shoot, why not set her feet at the 3 point line and take a normal shot. She got really lucky with that shot, and easily could've been the reason her team lost.
Remember when TMac suggested to a WNBA player that they lower the rim so women could dunk on each other more? They should have listened.
Lowering the rim will not address the lack of agility, quickness and power demonstrated in the NBA.
TheMandofGod still will allow more players to dunk tho. I mean theres only been one 7 footer in the league and she couldnt even dunk. Theres only a handful that have been over 6ft8. They are just smaller its a fact so make the hoop shorter allowing for more entertainment. Theres been less dunks than there have been years of the league’s existence for christ sake

I'm 5'6 and played a lot of basketball, In high school, I was at a boarding school, and the basketball hoop outside the boys dorm was 11 ft (so ppl wouldn't dunk on it). either way I couldn't dunk no matter what, (unless it was 9 ft) but I was known for driving to the hole and doing all this crazy layups on dudes way taller then me.. I think the women need to practice and practice more.. until basketball is all they do..

As a fan of basketball, I definitely appreciate the skill of these ladies. That being said, this video is the EXACT reason why they don't get paid (although, the fact that they earn a good salary playing a sport for a living should not be lost on anyone. They are still extremely lucky to make a life playing a game just like NBA players and any other pro athlete) like NBA players. Nor will they ever draw the same crowds or excitement if they don't consider lowering the rim and those other measures people have suggested to make their game and their product much more exciting.
