This was the song that ‘made’ Kierra Sheard-Kelly 20 years ago! Dorinda went to change outfits, handed Kierra the mic, & the rest is history!

If there was ever a prime example of her growth in her ministry and artistry this was it. 20 years ago she made me shout…now I’m throwin shoes!!

I believe Dorindas nickname in the gospel world is “The Rose of Gospel” so might explain her change into rose attire? Not too sure but big fan of The Clark Sisters and your videos! Cheers!

I WAS THERE THIS NIGHT! KIERRA'S YELL WAS PIERCING!!!!!! DORINDA WAS EXCELLENT! THE EXCITEMENT WAS THROUGH THE ROOF! When we operate in the gifts God has given to glorify Him, this is ALWAYS THE RESULT! HE IS AN AWESOME GOD!

I love that you spoke that you’re not a believer in God but you understand that there is a higher power that she is connecting to to sing in this manner that is touching you! God is good man! Thanks for reacting to this!

Not quite...Ricky Dillard directed the choir 20 years ago when she sang it then. This concert was the 20th anniversary of her first solo album. Kierra did the transition adlibs while she changed 20 years ago. The roses are significant because in the gospel community she is known as the "Rose of Gospel." Also, the drummer is Karen Clark Sheard's other child, J Drew. He played on the original as well.

I checked the credits for the anniversary concert (not the album recording) and it says Blair Sanders is the drummer for the whole concert.

This is Dorinda’s song on her debut album. Not Ricky Dillard’s

Can you react to the Pace sisters, when it comes to the Clark sisters they are the only group that has been compared to them. I recommend finally by them, act like you know by Lashun Pace; it features two of her sister Karen Clark Sheard and her mother, and last but not least Lashun Pace I know I've been changed if you haven't already.
