as a hair stylist it is not the tool its a learning curve you will see what your hair wants I suggest holding the curl sections MUCH longer and don't pull at it until your hair is cool this machine is built for long hauls so take your time nice tools just mean they wont short out like cheap tools doesn't mean its easy to use LOVE YOU
