- A DANGEROUS driver who sped along Bolton roads at more than 80mph has been jailed for 18 months.
Bolton Crown Court heard that it is the third time 43-year-old Paul Battersby has been convicted of dangerous driving and, on this latest occasion on August 9, he had taken cocaine before getting behind the wheel.
I find it funny that the guy being chased actually indicates!
He’ll get banned but could save himself a further 3 points;-)
He should of indicated the wrong way like borat
Amanda A If he don’t commit harm to others then i wouldn’t say he’s a criminal. He doesn’t force anyone to take or do drugs so no criminal here. The system made drugs illegal because they cannot tax it when people sell them so there for you are a criminal?
The system sells cigarettes to you and your children all the time which is known to kill thousands daily but nobody talks about that.
Amanda A 🤣🤣🤣
Amanda A It’s not an opinion. It’s facts! Law is causing harm or lost to others. Drugs comes under illegal! 😛
“Failing to stop at this time, has plenty of opportunity to do so” ... 5 minutes into the chase, 6 ran red lights later, I think we’ve gathered the Corsa isn’t pulling over
ahaha
bit of English wouldn't go a miss
Haha that’s what I thought
It's all evidence. He has to reiterate that the driver is continuing to offend. A lot of people along the legal chain will be reading a transcript, not looking at the video.
What a shout!! Belter....
3:57 “still failing to stop he’s had plenty of opportunities” na mate he’s just been looking for a safe place to park on the left
Lmao
When the underage girl you’re seeing phones you up asking to pick her up from McDonald’s
SinistaUK Aint heard a cross joke in a while 😂
SinistaUK hahahaha

the person driving that Corsa is certainly handy with the handbrake, but that police car wasn't even breaking a sweat keeping up with it. Shame about the end...
He did one handbrake in the whole pursuit? And even then he didn't look to have full control.
If he went wrong side at 1:00 the pursuit would have been aborted.
+8ile watch again sunshine you'll see he does a piss poor handbrake twice
I disagree. Police car was a bag of shit, didnt handle at all around the corners. The little Corsa handled alot better. Whoever the guy was who escaped was an ok driver, until he clipped the Silver car lol.
@@8ile fygzgczgzgX'ccd
You can tell her was drugged up; he was trying to escape the police in a 1.0L corsa with a 0-60 time of 12 seconds
He did get away, he was only caught through DNA.
6:06 Lovely scenery..
7:25 this guy trying to drift a corsa lmao
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 noob move
Trying or did
No he wasnt trying to drift. His brakes were fading. And he wasnt able to stop properly. Trust me i knlw exactly how that feels 😂😂😂

Underrated comment 👏
Corsa driver indicated more than all the bmw/audi/merc drivers combined.
Nice(if a bit quick) tour of Bolton, thanks
😂😂
love how he uses his indicators in a persuit
Well he needs to stay safe doesn't he 😂
Drugged up or not, he did pretty damned well.
looks like he knows horwich well...
DJ HOUDINI certainly does moss side ranger
where's that lol

Fucking hell. Cop loved that 2nd gear limiter didn't he
It's people like that who make drugs illegal.
Have to give it for the driver in the corsa haha, he done well to escape the police in a 80hp car, can't say much about them handbrake turns though ;)
Anonymous 98 He got lucky. Only reason he got away was because he was in a small car and reckless enough to go for that gap. You don’t give anyone credit for that...
Not handbrake turn. His brakes were fading, he wasnt able to stop efficiently anymore
Cop wasn't behind the door. High speed driving & commentary and answering coms All the while running risk assessments ,planning etc impressed
Are you sure the cops weren't 2 up?
Usually 2 officers in a traffic vehicle. One on comms will be riding shotgun
Which motorist was jailed? Title should say Corsa outruns the coppers.
He was caught minutes later and jailed. He had 68 previous offences.

If a man of 43 years
Snorts coke, got a
Record as long as his
Arm, and tries to out
Run the rozzers in a
Bog standard corsa .
Fucking priceless lol.
I just laughed when I hear the officer announce "advanced car" chasing a vauxhall corsa.
Good advert for drugs
run nigga RUN!
Woohoo tonic wine.
Absolutely disgusting that the police put so many people in danger. The pursuit should have ended on Beaumont Road were it could have been safely rammed into a spin.
I always thought it was Belmont road not Beaumont
It depends which you are on, Beaumont Road or Belmont Road. They both exist in the area that the chase was on.
I was waiting for road spikes to appear in the game.
Resident expert I see.
Lol fair play corsa man done a bit of decent attempt to blow chase , only reason he got caught was due to the car being registered to him so they just arrested him after he got home , however you have to give it to the cops for the way they are trained and observations when they in pursuit.👍👌
I live in Bolton, it's the moss eisley of the world.
83mph, horrific
What an asshole. And only 18 months for that?! He should be jailed for life. He could have become a serial killer on that drive alone.
Imagine trying to escape in an electric car. Now that would be 🤔
He's such a good driver I think police should offer him a job. Police patrol so you can chase other drivers
A pathetic wreckless and moronic driver more like.
Too many missed opportunities to nudge the Corsa as they turn sharply
When he said advance car advanced driver did he mean the junkie in the corsa 😂
That’s the trouble with society today
All these muppets praising the driver who is on drugs
Half of people stopped by police are said to have illegal substances in there system
How bad the world is with druggy scumbags
And it’s going to get worse
All fun and games till someone dies then everyone acts like the person driving was a nice innocent person who would never hurt a fly getting old now aint it pal poor police have to deal with all sorts of pricks
catalick converta I get teats every morning on way to work
They need to get up a little earlier and stop rushing the selfish pricks
18 months? Using a car as a weapon of mass destruction? Should be banned for life.
18 months he got for that awesome bit of coked up driving. And he gets this video as a souvenir on UA-cam. Where’d he get the coke? Asking for a friend.
Lol I love how the only driver in Bolton whom can be arsed indicating is being chased by police! It's almost as if the police are saying 'that guy is actually indicating... must be on drugs!' Haha
1:20 assuming the policecar was traffic (0:25 they state advanced car and advanced driver, so I assume so) they'd have been in something with around 300bhp and 1800kg, which is plenty to move to nearside, blast past the Corsa and brake in time to safely stop them before the chokepoint widens out again. Much safer than letting him blast through a red light let alone the 70+mph chase towards Horwich through minor roads.
I don't blame the policeman, he's presumably following local guidance, instead he should have the authority to zip past and slam on without referring back to a commander.
Do British police have different cars for traffic? We do in Australia, our Highway Patrol units are Holden Commodores with the V8 6.2L engine. But they're being replaced with Kia Stingers and Chrysler 300Cs. All cops are trained in urgent duties driving, sounds like British ones only have traffic cops trained as such? All cops here are trained in firearm use, and every cop on duty carries a Glock pistol. I think the UK and NZ are two of the few with so many unarmed cops.
Coover British police have traffic police they also have crime cars. Which are usually unmarked bmws. But each county has different types of police cars. The U.K. police also have specialized car crime units which drive Subaru’s evos and Audi s3s mainly.
I had a Corsa for years and it never went like that one. Mine took about 8 hours to get up to 60mph.
Is it worth risking some innocent pedestrian getting killed for what the driver will get when caught
Let them all go, brilliant idea. Then every scum intent on out running the police will just speed up knowing that the police will back off. Idiot
Should be banned for life.
I reckon the poor lad was desperate for a dump and needed to get home asap
This chase is so british, the guy getting chased still indicates lmao
Doin bits in his corsa 😂
thanks for posting
'Happy to proceed at this time'....of course you are lad....it's only a Corsa
Bet the policeman wishes he aborted it now after losing a Corsa. He would've had a bit of dignity left still.
Cop is very cool and calm.
I know this driver . Yeah we spoke breifly just before i flushed the toilet
I know these police there modern day highway robbers
i hear ya, but talking to shyte is a very bad habit..
🙄
Drugged up yet still manages to drive like this without causing a serious collision. Not praise, just shocked.
that poor BMW`s gearbox. ragging the shit out of it.
Too many other vehicles on the road for this pursuit to carry on, Copper doesn't give a fuck about innocent life only his own Ego
Wrong side of the road and the cop hardly comments. Police seem to calm the commentary and say what will get them the authorisation to continue as the boss is blind to whats actually happening. Should of called it off.strait through red lights at 70 then wrong side of the road all the way up it.
Exactly mate. It's just not worth ploughing into a bunch of kids or whatever. Really, the cops are no better than the criminals in situations like this.
If i was ever to rob a bank, i would wish to use the corsa driver as my getaway driver. If you are reading this comment, mr driver, get in touch 😂
what u expect from a corsa
But in a super fast car of course
It wasn’t even a VXR
Wise up Shaun lad, it’s clearly a joke, not a cock - don’t take it up the bumhole
pretty bad joke if you think that he could of killed innocent kids while driving like a total twat
So what sentence did the driver get ! ?
This is why you shouldnt try to blend in to not look suspicious a high powered vehicle would have given a proper chase
It may not have been the drugs that made him do this? Think how much worse it could have been without the drugs!
It beggars belief they could not take the car out !!!!
Police cover themselves in glory this time !!
lost a shitty corsa. should be demoted for that. so embarrassing.
It's a corsa? How did you not stop him In 3 seconds it has 80hp.
Police UK...still Questions....
Matt768 I got a 1L corsa petrol to 110mph before.....
How do they know it's a drugged up driver
Dunno maybe they caught him and tested him
@@karlhanks1967 it dont look like they caught him to me lol

"Advanced car, advanced driver!" Wrong on both of those mate
80 hp Corsa, what a boring chase.
Some people saying he's a good driver. No, he's watched too many films. Handbrake turns are so much slower than braking. Terrible driver.
Where can I purchase drugs? That was some fancy driving!!
Some nice driving to be fair
Theres a lot of BS radio traffic that I presume they are told to say. Why need to state that he's happy to continue, surely that's obvious if he's still chasing the car? Why the need for a weather report about it being dry and good visibility every few minutes, is the climate that unpredictale in Bolton that a sudden pea soup fog might appear? The driver needs to be concentrating on the road not being distracted by this stuff.
They went past my house and my parents house on this, both 20 zones with lots of kids! Shame the slippery bugger got away
Apparently he got caught an put in prison with other offences
8:46 what an absolute plonker driving
At least he indicated
Of all the idiotic things to get jailed for. I hope they get housed in a prison wing specifically designed for them... Somewhere with 24 hour support reminding them to breathe in and out... That sort of thing.
One thing learned in a police chase watch these vids..keep turning down back streets and are golden
Car chases are a matter of balls. The difference between jail and freedom, is how much time you're willing to gamble. More often than not, you've got to be all in.
Yeah boyy that's how you smoke the plod in a corsa
Copper is a badass, he's got his BMW in sport so hes using the paddles to change gear while chasing, looking for dangers, radio commentary etc etc etc, bravo
Are they a 530d? Victoria Police in Australia got some to replace the Commodore Highway Patrol units. Problem was the 530d didn't have the get up and go that the V8 6.2L Commodore has. Yet to see what will replace the Australian made V8s.
@@coover65 it will either be a 3 or 5 series and yes it's the 3 litre diesel, vast majority of our police have them as pursuit/motorway patrol cars, aswell as the X5 with the same engine
Think both him and the Corsa had been taking cocaine
Corsa driver was late for sesh. Didnt know the police was chasing him lol.
I didn't think a sh#tty corsa could do 83 mph
Chasing vehicles this way puts all other road users and pedestrians at risk.. Better for ground pursuits to back off.. defuse the situation and let the helicopter take over at a distance. Otherwise it appears police don't care about safety of the public and they just want to put on n impressive show..
We now have the technology to place a stop engine device in every car, but people are still drying in car chases.
Still amazes me that people don't slow down when they see lights and sirens hell they don't even brake
Personally, I've never really agreed with police high speed car chases - driving at motorway speeds through residential areas has the potential to end in tragedy for the people in both cars and/or an innocent member of the public - probably a lot more so than if the person behind the wheel had just kept driving as normal. And sometimes the police just lose the car or the criminals manage to get enough distance between them to escape anyway. If the car is legally registered, why don't the police just track down the owner via the reg and get them to confess who was driving at that time, like they do with relatively more minor motoring offenses like red light jumping and speeding?
Alison Williams they’d just take the car to a field, burn it out and report it stolen. Or come up with some theory that someone else was driving, that would have to be proven beyond doubt in court. Only way to get them with certainty is getting them in person
I have no idea who was driving my car officer, do i need to know?
5:55 what would happen in U.S...…?
That scumbag had me really angry! Didn't give a flying fart if he killed someone, just as long as he got away! Can't imagine how the cops felt! And he's free to do it all again! Hope they get him soon!
Definitely NOT a Sunday driver 😂
300ish bhp BMW...
And you’re trying to lose it in a Corsa with at best 95bhp🙄🤷🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
Good pursuit. In my court this is what I’d hand down. Jail 10 years, Disqualified for 30 years. Fine £5000.
Where and when did he get caught?
Looked like police wasn’t in rush and in the mood.
Is he seriously trying to duck feds out in this shitty corsa? 😂😂😂😂
He's hit a pedestrian?
A car or a person?
A pedestrian.
What?
What?
9:14 - He said they hit a member of the public. The officer on the radio then asks him to clarify whether it was a car or a pedestrian that he hit. What's strange about that?
Where exactly in the video is anybody jailed lol
Hahahahaha!
Probably caught at a later date, found the abandoned vehicle and got DNA evidence from it or whatever.
I had to google what a Corsa is. Sold in Australia as a Holden Barina with a 1.6 litre-now I know why the jokes about a Corsa.
Coover mostly 1.2-1.4 here
@@Taqz1008Do 1.2 litre cars actually sell OK there? Anything under 1.6 is quite rare here, but as technology advances there are some like the 1.2L Toyota C-HR, but they're just too underpowered to sell well.
Coover 1.0-1.4 cars are popular for young drivers here due to low insurance costs.
Especially in London where insurance costs are £2-3k for young drivers so smaller engined cars are the only option available
@@Taqz1008 That makes perfect sense. Wow, they are pretty steep insurance costs! Here we registration and third party insurance on a car dependant on number of cylinders; 4, 6 or 8. A 2.8 L turbo diesel 4 cylinder would cost the same in fees as a 1.2L car. Age of driver is irrelevant. Then you have optional car insurance which covers you for theft, fire, damage etc. Premiums for that depends on age of driver, experience and car value.
Public transport here is woeful, and most people drive everywhere. I think if I lived in London I wouldn't even need a car. Last year we managed to get around Tokyo with just trains and other public transport. Puts our network to shame.
Coover yup
insured my golf 1.6 when I was 20 for £2049 last year but that was using my business address outside London. A quote in London would cost me ~4k
He certainly knows where he's going!
7:26 K-KANSEI DORIFTO???

Those handbrake turns were great!!... hey... end result.... HE GOT AWAY.... 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️
what about the other people on the roads, all the time this is going on !? we need to intervene much sooner !!!!
Had a police chase to horwich and didn't even go up tops...
He was only rushing home to watch Eastenders! Give the guy a break.
if this had been on a big open road the results would have been diffrent
