Mike Ocksbig that’s it mate hahah
You're famous now Blake haha
Tyler Thompson might have to start my own videos building cars
If you're interested in any suspension gear by Superpro Suspension or Fulcrum Suspension then you can use code 'TYLZZZ' for 10% off at the Fulcrum website. They do a massive amount of aftermarket suspension gear and full set ups for most 4wds :)

sorry to be so offtopic but does anyone know of a trick to log back into an Instagram account..?
I was dumb lost the login password. I would love any tips you can give me
@Israel Camdyn instablaster ;)
@Krew Carson Thanks so much for your reply. I found the site thru google and I'm in the hacking process atm.
Seems to take quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
@Krew Carson it did the trick and I actually got access to my account again. I'm so happy!
Thanks so much you really help me out!
@Israel Camdyn Glad I could help :D
Blake the mullet master 💥💥
Scott Cullum thanks mate haha
Good to see mullets are making a come back. Fitting some nice stuff to that navara.
acengineer737 haha thanks mate
Hope Ironman looked after you, as you’ve given them a sale. I was looking at going ARB or TJM, have looked at the prices of Ironman bar work and suspension and I’m sold. Great bang for your buck, just like the Nav.
ironman stuff feels weak as piss(seen many bars and my own sidesteps wiggle/bend) go custom or spend the extra and go ARB
Everyone has always got their opinion and will always find plenty of people to complain about any brand haha but I'm happy with the Ironman gear, think it looks good and solid. Will obviously have to put it to the test over time. Ironman Side steps will definitely bend if you start landing them on rocks etc as they are side steps, not rock sliders. Hence why I got some custom rock sliders made
Glenn Minett ARB is overpriced & overrated.
It’s all coming together nicely 👍
Thanks mate!
Also, lifted springs do give you more ground clearance on everything except that which is un-sprung (e.g a solid axle diff). With solid axles the only way to get better clearance of the diff is to go bigger tyres as Tyler said. You still get all the benefits of better approach, ramp over and departure angles with a lifted spring. Also fully independent suspension vehicles like the Y62 Patrols do not have the same issue that the solid axle's do.
Awesome to see it coming together. Your right saying the suspension needs time to settle in. Speaking of time.....time to go play man
Thanks mate, yep got a couple of trips coming up over Christmas :)
Awesome work been waiting for this one !! Be good too see the rig on the tracks
Thanks mate!
Tyler, at 5:15 when you talk about lift and ground clearance.
Suspension lift on independent suspension, does increase ground clearance.
True on solid axles, suspension doesn't raise the diff.
How ever a suspension lift does improve the following,
1. Approach angle
2. Departure angle
3. Increases chassis clearance
4. Increases wheel arch clearance as you said.
Plus more.
Not sure if you had been told these other facts.
There is already way to much sales based miss leading information in the 4wd industry out there.
Hey mate, thanks for all the points. I did realise about the approach angle, departure angle etc, we did talk about it at the time but cut it out, always hard to find the balance between lots of information and becoming too boring haha. But I didn't realise it increased ground clearance on the independent front suspension 4wds, cheers mate!
@@TylerThompson90 true facts are boring but important.
It's not just IFS, cars like Nissan Y62, gen 3 Pajero. All independent suspension systems as the diff is bolted to the body/chassis.
On a different note, hope you and everyone up there is ok from the fires. #staysafe
Thanks mate, we are all good where we are at the moment, a lot activity going on at the moment in relation to fires!
Good to see it taking shape. Hope the fires arent causing you to much grief over there.
Thanks mate, we are all good where we are at the moment, just keeping a close eye on things
Awesome mate. It’s looking great. Can’t wait to see it on the tracks, that wheel lift teaser is a ripper!
Thanks mate! Keen to get away on some bigger trips :)
Great to see the updates mate
Cheers mate :)
Looking good Tyler. Well thought out mods before the first spanner hit the car. Good Job.
Thanks mate!
Nice of them to leave the radio on
Bring on the coil bind on this front struts , look how close they are with no weight on them . Gaps only gonna get smaller on the ground
Been quality quantity with these build videos
Appreciate it mate :)
Those springs don't match the recovery points, rookie mistake Tyler 😉 this is great stuff, watching with great interest
Yeah few interesting colours starting to build up haha thanks mate
You gotta love the mullet !!
They are timeless. 🍻
Darren Craike thanks mate haha
Blake Hobson no worries champ.
Love ya work. 🍺
Business up the front and party at the back👍
That’s it ahha
Dana White also does suspension
Very nice mate , it’s coming up well.

Getting there mate, will look and feel awesome once all done
Thanks mate!
I’m gonna take your advice n fit some Ironman suspension! Xmas pressie

Blake Hobson you know your stuff, it was good to see you doing Tyler’s install mate.
Zhivan Wasinski I like to think I do
Looking good bud can't wait to see it with a bit of mud on it 👌
Thanks mate :)
Yes.
Awesome stuff mate, love watching your vids!!!
I should be getting my Ironman foam cell pro set up installed this coming week on my BT50.
How do you find they're holding up 2 months on and have they softened a little yet?
Thanks mate! Yep I'm really happy with mine, definitely softened up heaps after a few thousand KM's
Good to hear mate!!!
Booked mine in for this coming Friday, so fingers crossed it all goes well.
@@craigjohnson1557 how has your Ironman setup going? did you get the Foam cell Pro? I have a BT-50 and looking at it now, keen to get some feedback. Cheers
Nice one Tyler you must be itching to get on the tracks.
Yep keen to put it to use mate!
Nice one Tyler. Looking good 👍😎🇳🇿
Thanks mate :)
Hey Tyler, been watching you for a while now ! cheers for the content. Would love to see a detailed video on how you successfully get out with Kai. i.e. when did you start , how, what, where, tips, how to keep them interested and entertained, long drives, home sick etc. I have an adventurous 1 year old and would love to get him out when he gets closer to 2 as hes on mums milk, but I would like to start early and get him into it with 1 nighters here and there etc. I think you do a great job of it with the board games, lego etc. Cheers !!!
Hey mate, thank you! Appreciate it :). I have been meaning to do a video like this so will have to try and put one together!
@@TylerThompson90 Legend !! there is almost no good videos out there about this topic !
Looks sweet cant wait for the next upload :)
Thanks mate :)
Can't stop looking at the silly mullet
Truck looks great !! Hows the old budget holding up ?? Well done mate and looking forward to seeing you back on a track somewhere !!
Thanks mate! Chewing through a bit of money haha but had some help with sponsored gear otherwise wouldn't be able to afford all this haha
What or how much lift do i need in the front to level my navara np300
No me pierdo ninguan video exito
hows the ride ? is it more harsh or more comfortable?
It will be interesting to get your feedback on those front springs, they simply don't look right to me.
How come they don't look right? Look/feel good to me haha but yeah see how they go over time I guess
@@TylerThompson90 Wasn't having a go, I'm genuinely interested. To me there doesn't appear to be enough space between each coil, it looks like there isn't enough space to compress. I'm sure smarter people than me have designed them correctly though.
Yeah I'm not 100% sure to be honest mate, you'd have to talk to someone smarter then me haha thats how they generally seem to look on the independent front suspension 4wds from what i've seen
Navs looking beaut, needs tyres and rims done next :)
Yep tyres are next video mate, haven't got the rims yet though
When old mate was talking about the "spring clash" sounded funny because if you looked at you new suspension the gap between the coil on new and old suspension the old one has more of a gap??? you have bump stops fitted and this would stop this from happing. I'm am defiantly not against fitting aftermarket suspension to any car just think the explanation of why to fit new suspension from the suspension shop selling it was abit questionable. ie "spring clash". best of luck with the NAV!
Haha exactly right 😂😂
Yep - Most people would call it coil bind. It should always have bump stops to stop the compression before the coil binds against itself.
I think old mate needs to spend a bit more time researching and less time reading the sales pitches.
Dont think there will be a prob with coil bind. The gap between the coils might be tighter but there is more wraps of the coil in the new ones to allow for it.
Yeah I'm not an expert so can't really say too much about the subject haha but to me the issue with the old ones is they weren't made to handle the extra weight of the bullbar, winch etc whereas the new ones are heavy duty to handle the weight. Even though the coils are closer together they won't compress anything like the old ones
What's this spring clash business he was talking about? Shouldn't bump stops limit the travel of the suspension before the spring gets compressed enough to clash against itself?
Hmm yeah I'm not a 100% sure mate, Im no expert so can't say too much haha
That's a sweet setup. Are the D23 suspension components compatible with the D40? Here in The States were still on the ancient but reliable D40 chassis and options for a lift are slim.
I have heard you can custom weld the d23 rear coil setup on the d40 in lieu of leaf springs. Likewise you can do a solid axle titan front on the d40 in lieu of IFS. Will be a beast machine !
Yeah not sure how you would go using D23 suspension on the D40, completely different rear set up, coil springs against leaf springs
@@TylerThompson90 I can tackle the leaf springs. Is the front compatible w the D40?
I’ve heard the wallopers (Cops) in QLD aren’t keen on lifted 4WD’s, 1 of my cousins has a new HiLux and got a canary for being lifted, and it was stock, no suspension work. He had to go to court with a signed statutory declaration from a registered vehicle tester to prove the Lux is standard. His vehicle was off the road for 2 months until he could go to court and get permission to drive his stock vehicle on the roads.
Yeah mate got to be careful, they like to defect 4wd's with big lifts and tyres
Mullet Man!
DropBear&Shiba that’s it mate
@@hobsonsoffroadandcustoms4918 You need to start your own channel! Would watch more Mullet Advice with Blake! (You may use that name :P )
Iv been thinking about it
With these can you adjust them to a 3inch lift?
Tyler,is yours nav covered by 7 years warranty or you just missed out?
Cheers
Mines got the 5 year warranty I think it is mate so must of missed out
Hey mate what’s up with the bull bar near the headlight on the side? It looks like it hangs out past the panel?
Hey mate, na its just the camera angle haha Ill show it in video because getting a lot of comments about it.
Haha yeah all good mate.
Hi Tyler!! The Ironman shocks that you installed...are 50mm lift? In Europe the spec for this shocks is 40mm lift. Is it correct?
Hello! Yep they are meant to be 50mm here in Australia according to Ironman. We measured after the install and we had gained 50mm in the front and 55mm in the rear (which was just cause we didn't have the weight in the rear yet, lowered down a bit once I put weight in there)
Bypass suspension?
Why not?
Great video although it is a shame there is all that horrible commercial radio going on in the background.
Thanks mate, yeah I tried to turn it down/off when I could but the boys weren't happy with me/wanted it on haha
Ripper mate!
Thanks mate!
Tyler Thompson thanks for going to the effort of filming and editing mate, it’s been awesome to follow the progress and process of your channel. Do you and the missus go wheeling? Might make for a good vid in the future seeing families on the tracks etc
Did you need to trim the strut towers with those UCAs?
Nope
She's coming along nicely. And f#ck me ol mates mullet is healthy asf😂👌
Thanks mate, yep he did a good job of it haha
What tyre / size are you putting on mate? Suspension looks schmick btw
Thanks mate, 285/75/R16
Hi any idea why my navara makes a knocking sound after a bump, and it continues to bounce after the bump just replaced with band new shocks but it still bounces after a bump
Hey mate, nope can't really help you there sorry, best to get a mechanic to look at it
I just did the suspension in my nav and ended up going with outback armour.
How do u find it? Did u go the 2 inch lift?
@@petemackaa6546 nah 4" love it
@Tim B yeah fine
Yeah have heard plenty of good things about outback armour
Need diffdrop with 4inch?
Hope you are not affected by the fires mate?! Stay safe
They are close by but we are all good at the moment thanks mate! Just keeping a close eye on things
Has your suspension sagged yet, I've had mine for a month and it's dropped 20 mil...
Nope been all good so afr
Saludes desde nicaragua
Do you need to realign them again once you put new wheels and bigger tires?
No
@@pb8582 damn, always thought you needed to after new set of wheels or tires.
@@Buansteven it's recommended not necessary...
Yeah I didn't get a realignment done after the bigger tyres went on, will get one a few thousand kms down the track once everything is fully settled in
@@TylerThompson90hey mate hope you well do you have any diff locker on yours install?
Hey mate when you put tyres on
285/75/R16 nitto trail grapplers mate
is there a difference between the yellow and green spring?
Both the same, green they just updated the colour
Top end part of it haha sorry about it baller the car is still on finance
Needed tires 33 /12.5
Yeah thats what I got
What is the name of the front bumber?
Ironman commercial deluxe bullbar
Why the hell are you wheel aligning before bigger tyres? Tyres will put it out again!
Needed to do a wheel alignment, front tyres were way too far off after the front suspension when it, particularly with the extra adjustable upper control arms etc. Camber and castor were completely out
Tyler Thompson did you move that horn up higher?
What lift is this kit ?? 2inch or 4inch
2 inch ironman foam cell pro lift kit
Anyone else notice the bullbar just doesn't sit right.. like it doesn't follow the line of the car and is it just me or does that RF spring look bananered.. im not being a troll but if i was $pending all this coin on a new ute and all the accessories then id want it perfect or im not having it.
Its just the different angles your seing it on. I have a ARB bar and its the same deal. If you look at it directly side on then they allign perfectly.
Yeah its just the camera angle from the side haha if you actually see one in person it all lines up perfectly. Ill show what I mean in one of the next few videos
🇺🇾🇺🇾🇺🇾🇺🇾🇺🇾🇺🇾🇺🇾🇺🇾👏te miro desde Uruguay!!aunque no te entiendo
