Horizon Zero Dawn looks absolutely incredible on both the PS4 and the PS4 Pro. We compare it's graphics on both platforms, the PS4 Pro runs in 4K mode. It uses the checkerboard rendering method with a significantly higher resolution "close to 4K". As you can see in our comparison, the PS4 Pro profits from sharper textures and more details even in the distance.

+4K ultra HD that picture is zommed in 200% unless you sit 1.4 mm away from your tv the deference is tiny, in all honesty the ps4 pro is the same thing but with slightly better far away graphics that no one cares about, and slightly better shadows that no one cares about. sure everyone in the dumbass war of 13 year olds over which console is the best will mention these 2 insignificant deference, but even they dont actually care they just want to be idiots. but again in reality they're pretty much the same thing but ones more expensive. and btw for anyone reading this, the xbox one is great, the ps4 is great, the ps4 pro is great, and pc is great. if you're going to argue otherwise, id be happy to loan you an nes for a bit, then you'll se they're all great.
Believe me its worth a buy...Its not slightly better,its much better,but you cant see it here on UA-cam..I had normal PS4 from the start,about 4 years Finished FFXV about 3 weeks ago..now I have PS4 Pro plus 4K TV and difference is really big..Believe me I have comparison in FFXV,Horizon Zero Dawn,Fifa 18,Infamous and those games are too much better on PS4 PRO then on classic PS4..they are like on Ultra settings on gaming PC (I have it too so I really know)..I am glad I upgraded.

You really can’t see the difference here. I bought mine yesterday. Had been playing Horizon on a regular ps4. It looks so much better, even on a 1080p monitor, which is the one I have. My new 4K monitor will arrive tomorrow. So the difference will be even greater.

wrong, with the prices of the new gen gpu's, you can run everything at ultra or close to ultra with a $500 rig easily. the rx480 is only $200! so lets do some math
$200 rx480
$30-100 cpu (depending on whether you buy used or new, easily can buy used)
$100 mobo
$25 stick of ddr3 4gb RAM
$60 psu
$50 case/keyboard/mouse (maybe a little more if you want something better)
$27 for a 128gb ssd (purchased one from monoprice for $27! that alone will make ur pc experience 100x's better.
$30-40 for a mechanical drive for storing games, etc...
Total: $522
more than the playstation 4 @ ~$270 and $100 more than the pro @ ~400
you can easily cut some corners on my build up there and get it down to $400 while still quadrupling the performance of the play station 4 pro... all at better looking graphics settings, and with twice the frames.
^a machine like that will run most games at high --> ultra settings at 60-144 frames (in case you want to indulge in some master race items such as a 144hz monitor, which is god tier.)
now everyone brings this up, "but i have to buy a monitor!!!"...
this statement couldnt be any more false. you dont HAVE to buy a monitor, infact you can just use an hdmi connection to your TV just like any other console on the market. You are going to have shit response time and refresh rate, but you are already dealing with that when you use a console.
also if you like controllers, you can use a playstation or xbox controller on a pc just fine. you just need a cheap ass little adapted for the wireless ones, or you can buy an afterglow controller for dirt cheap, and use that.

Looks good on Regular PS4...Pro is just a machine very few people care about or buy. The differences are very minuscule. I've NEVER had problems with framerates on any PS4 game.
Jeremy Freeman Ark: Survival Evolved is one game that actually uses the pro power very well. Night and day difference between base and pro. Other than that, I agree, so far very little differences between games.

lol what you idiots don't understand is the ps4 pro offers better textures, shadows, reflections etc compared to ps4 at 1080p, while maintaining a more stable 30 fps. kinda like higher settings on pc. Its not just about 4k. Don't judge the quality from these compressed youtube videos. besides obviously 4k will look better on bigger screens than 1080p, even on a 1080p screen.

The graphic is incredible in both consolles, only the pro have better terrain texture quality, obviously a better resolution, and a bit more distant detail quality. I think Guerrilla should give an option to use the extra power of the pro, not for encrease resolution, but for to have more details!

The graphic on PS4 and PS4 are almost the same, sure PS4 Pro is a bit better but, IMHO, the most interesting question is: will the frame rate be enough stable on the standard console?

Have to set the video settings to the highest resolution to see the difference. @2:48 it's so clear how much fine detail is lost in the PS4 compared to the PS4 Pro when you examine the wood grain and carvings on those roof eaves.

I played deus ex today (unpatched) and after i installed the patch, the difference looked like night and day!

If I don't own a 4k TV, will the ps4 pro perform equally to the regular version on my full HD tv? this would basically be throwing money away....

Any frame rate issues on the original ps4? I think streaming game play video is never telling. I want a backup for if I can't find a switch at launch I didn't preorder. (I am a die hard Nintendo fan I have a 3ds, Wii u, a ps4, and a gaming PC). I don't want to buy breath of the wild on Wii u because I could get a portable version realitively soon like at least a month after searching. So as a backup I am debating to buy either this or twilight princess HD to play while I wait to find a switch for breath of the wild.
I wish people would stop calling the PRO 4K, especially being as 99% of games are Upscaled from 1080p and 720p as in the case of Nioh.

Also there are games that run native 4k 60fps and most reviewers including digital foundry also have said that the technology with how the Pro upscales games works very well. It's more 4k than the One S its actually not even comparable since the One S can only play 4k video and can only upscale games it cannot have native 4k games or anything above 1080p running on hardware like that, it has a hard enough time holding 30fps with most titles out now,which that in itself is a huge difference. Also most games are not up scaled from 1080 they usually start at 1440p or higher then are upscaled. Only a handful of games upscale from 1080p to "4k" most are already above 1080p with patches for the pro. It's called 4k because it actually can play native 4k games something the One S cannot do.

So I have Ps4 slim connected to a non HDR 1080p Sony TV and a Ps4 Pro connected to a 4K HDR tv. I had to borrow another HZD disc and play just to compare both side by side and honestly I really can't tell if the Pro has a better picture unless if I enable the HDR feature

Jvd gtx1080 cannot run heavy game at 60fps with very high setting. gtx1070 run 15-20fps with very high setting at 4K.

Wayne Cox the ps4 pro footage I saw was from youtube, and it looked better than footage here. Im talking uncharted 4 level of graphics, which looks much better than this. this game has much better lighting, framerate, texture quality and detail.

The only difference I could see was that it is slightly crisper and less blurry-edged on the 400% zoom, so no need to fork out for a Pro and a 4K TV when I have the Arkham Night edition and a 1Yo high end HD TV.

I think this youtuber just did 2 footage of the ps4, but down scaled the one to 720, I played this game at psx on the ps4 pro, looks MUCH better than the ps4 pro footage here. also Im watching this on my 768p laptop and watching it at 1080 (because theres not 768p on youtube) and the ps4 footage doesnt look like its 1080 (768p actually).

This game runs on a crappy x86 Jaguar with a gpu compareable to a gtx750ti! That hardware is not even entry-level pc gear and yet the game manages to look better than 99% off all pc games at maxed settings!

- We play at an Actual Native 4K with 60fps
- You play at fake 4K with 30fps
- We play at 1080p uncapped fps (can go up to 144fps) depending on the graphics card.
- You play at 1080p with 30fps, (60fps max, and it's barely available).
- We have millions of masterpiece exclusives that you'll never get and genres like MOBA games.
- You have very few garbage exclusives, plus we can download them on PC via turrents anyways.
- We are able to use any type of controllers (ps4, xbox, pc controllers, etc...), mouses, keyboards, themes, and countless of different tools.
- You are only able to use the Dualshock 4
- We are able to download FREE mods for Either a different Visual or gameplay experience on many games.
- You don't even have mods.
- We are able to change our pieces and customize a PC build however we want, as much as we like, whenever we want.
- you have to buy an entire new device to get a new feature, and soon you realize it's a useless feature, just like the "boost mode" in the PS4 Pro.
I can go on forever, but this should be far enough for consoles, not even worth mentioning all the benefits a pc can afford. 39 likes? Is that how consoles try to win? Is raising likes the only thing you're able to do? Good luck, may those likes guide you to the best platform.

Both consoles have the same render distance it seems, which is weird. Only improvements I saw were some textures, water and lighting?? (Could haven just been the day cycle though).
