I dont understand setting MTU size to account for overhead with jumbo frames. Is that not happenign by default? If my physical switch is set to 9k, my DVS should be set to 8800?
You are correct. If your physical underlay supports an MTU of 9000, then you need to set the VDS that NSX will use to 8800. This is to account for the overhead of Geneve and possible future feature NSX may bring to the table.. I hope this helps. Thanks for watching and have a good one.
