Sound mate, the A73 is the bollocks mate, proper good. First off thing to do if you are learning is to put the camera into automatic. Take a few shots and have a look at the exposure, fstop and shutter. This will be your reference. Now go into a manual and mess about with settings. Believe me that camera has very few limitations. One last bit of advice is to either take your shots early in the morning or early evening, late afternoon. Always shoot in RAW and edit in Lightroom. You'll have it sorted in no time, good luck 👍
Love your dedication mate. Most of us are too lazy and just point and use auto on our phones. I’m sure you’ll suss out all the features given time .

No substitute for practice. Its taken quite a while to get very comfortable with my OM-1. So many settings and options.
