Great Video. You're clear and easy to follow. I've got a number of successful Nextion automotive related projects completed, one of which is a 7" Nextion control/display in my car. It replaces all the gauges as well as lets me edit parameters and control the operation, ie Cruise mode, Sport mode, Dyno mode.....
Your Nextion tutorials are excellent. I’ve been playing with these HMIs for several years but I’ve still found great value in your work, especially regarding the GUI work.
you all prolly dont care but does anyone know of a trick to log back into an Instagram account..? I was dumb lost the account password. I love any help you can give me.
@Watson Zaire I really appreciate your reply. I found the site through google and Im waiting for the hacking stuff now. Seems to take a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
If you hold CTRL when you do the gradient it will snap to coarse degree angles so you don't need to be so careful to hit completely vertical. Great video. I've used these before and still enjoyed watching.
Nice -- just subscribed to your channel. This is much better and nicer looking than using the built in buttons. Have you done anything with dials / gauges using a sequence of images. This is so you can have a gauge with a different needle / behavior etc. than the standard Nextion ones. I was just wondering if there were any good tricks for creating the interpolated images for each value.
Using a sequence of images for gauges is actually the best way to customize and smooth the gauges. If you want your needle to go from 0 to 360 degrees, you would make 360 images of the needle at each degree. The built in gauge needle can be laggy and not very customizable. Unfortunately there’s no easy way to make 360 images. You would have to make them in photoshop or gimp and then keep rotating your needle slightly and exporting the image every degree. It’s quite tedious which is why I usually just use the built in gauges with a custom background image but the stock needle design. Good luck with your project!
I have made my own based on your tutorial. my nextion debug simulator works as desired, but written to the display does not show any button presses. I am using a combo of dual states and momentary buttons. I have been googling for awhile and finding nothing similar. :(
Double check that you have selected the correct screen model and size. Has this screen ever displayed button presses or is this your first project with it? Could be something wrong with the touch layer on the screen
You go to file, import as layer, then select your image. It’ll probably import really zoomed in since most images are higher resolution than these screens but then you can right click on the layer and scale it. But be careful when scaling because once you make it small, if you try to make it bigger, it will be stretching the low res image, not the original image so it’ll be blurry. Always scale the original image down and then control z if it’s not the right size
I ordered a nextion 4.3 display. I have not received it after 3 months. Nextion has not replied to my emails for 2 months. This is a bad company. You should take down this video!
I always get my Nextion displays from Banggood cuz they’re cheaper. The usually take a month to arrive but I’ve never had a problem. Nextion screens are still the best screens for arduinos, especially for the price
@@korbano TJC screens are the same(they make them for Nextion or better said one is for non-Chinese and the other for everyone else) but a fraction of the price, downside is you need to find a reseller in China to ship them to the US as they are only sold within China. There is a group that has patched the editor to work in English and you get Antialiased fonts, floating point numbers and other options that should be available on the Nextion but they wont release as they charge money to do it instead. Ask why they havent released V0.55 of the editor and find out how long the post stays on their forum if you arent outright banned for asking.
Matt B yeah I’ve noticed from reading forums that the Nextion guys don’t seem to happy to help people out for free. In all fairness just because they made the GUI for free once doesn’t mean they should provide unlimited updates and technical support for free. I doubt these screens are bringing in the cash like the latest smartphones are. I see both sides though and I’m just making due with what I’ve got without their help

Got my first nextion display just a few days ago. Great tutorial.

@Watson Zaire it did the trick and I now got access to my account again. I'm so happy:D
Thank you so much you saved my account!
@Wilder Fletcher happy to help =)
Beautiful man, you're the only one who could help me, I watched 8 videos and yours was the only one that saved me

Thanks for the tip. I did not know that!
Thank you so much your instructions were so easy to follow !! This helper a lot ❤️
Hi, Great video! Do you have the next video showing how to simulate the radio turning on Arduino Nextion Displays? Look forward to your reply. Thanks

Inkscape is another great tool for making Nextion images.
I haven’t tried Inkscape but any free full-featured software is good in my book
Mind-blowing!!! Thx
Cool projects and best explanation..

@@korbano good call, I dug through my closet for another nextion (same model) and the buttons work. THANKS.
nice tutorial!
I have a 120x120 gauge, I used a 120x120 picture on it, and the result is way off center. Why is this? I am following the same steps as you.
Nice, thx
Nice work
Thanks
how do you put the images into the gimp?

I think you can go to nextion website to contact them to check your orders, I have ordered some and I received them without problem
@@korbano Take a look at ITEADs EVE screens, American company with better quality screens and a lower price
I'm sincerely greatful to this ⬆️⬆️ thank you for a Job well done
