    How to decide band gap energy of crystalline material , if this is for amorphous materials ?

      While the absorption characteristics might differ between amorphous and crystalline materials, the fundamental approach of plotting
      (αhν), n versus hν (where α is the absorption coefficient, ℎ is Planck's constant, v is the frequency of light, and 𝑛 depends on the type of electronic transition) remains applicable. Thanks

    Bandgap energy i found 3.76 ev..but Tio2 thin film Have bandgap of 3.2 ev..is there any option i can evalute it?

    I didn't understand, what, we can use tauc plot only for amorphous semiconductor to estimate the bandgap???

      Yes. Usually our synthesized semiconductors are polycrystalline, which are close to amorphous. Thanks

    No, this is incorrect measurements of band gap, as you didn't started Tauc's plot from zero on y-axis. The band gap vaule may contain error.
