That’s when I find birders annoying, looking over great distances often into sun and claiming they had seen the quarry bird when it was pretty impossible to tell one bird from another. Been in that situation a few times with so called birders arriving on site setting up claiming almost immediately and packing up and going almost straight away. Thank goodness for people like you who show genuine enjoyment from the birds not just the tick. Thanks for bringing these trips to us.
Great video guys, what a great life you guys have. It's crazy about the Black Tern, what if the eggs hatch, that would be insane! and then what if the Black Tern went off and mated with Frankie the juvenile Starling!!
we nipped in but did not get what we wanted ( willow tit ), we were late back for the kids coming home so we had to rush. we are going to pop back in the next few weeks.
@@TheBackyardAviaryAdventures Not sure which way works best for you but I’ve always found Willow Tit around Elton Reservoir and Pennington flash. Had some cracking Spoonbills at Fairburn though it’s a great reserve.
Another really good video. I'm wondering how many birds you have now seen in the UK? As you both put the effort in and are quite successful in your trips.

thanks for the kind words, we genuinely love birding.
Just discovered your channel, love it 👍
Excellent trip, well done!
Many thanks!
Well done again guys. You're getting closer to the 240. Onward & upward! Cheers, Gary in Oz
thanks for watching, would love to do some birding in Oz!

if you go to the back off Saltholme there is a bridal path where you can get onto the reserve
we found that out the following morning, it was unfortunately too late to get the marsh warbler.
😂 you could even bring your bride
Saw you guys leaving Fairburn at the weekend as you were leaving. Recongnised the van straight away!

Brilliant video! I’ve never seen ABT or BT. But they could be worth a possible twitch!? Thanks for uploading the video(s) they are great!🎉
Glad you enjoyed it!

to be honest, i am not sure, i think around 300, kayleigh is about 12 behind me.
Also on the 13 minute mark did anyone else see the mug swinging when the vehicle was stationary - spooky
we had only just moved the van and parked, so that could be the reason....that, or the van is haunted!
@@TheBackyardAviaryAdventures your van is clearly haunted (by the Twitching Gods) because the mug doesn't stop swinging for about 2 minutes 😂👻
I ain't going back in it then! no more videos...
@@TheBackyardAviaryAdventures maybe next video you should nail down all the mugs 😉
I may bin them, they must be cursed!
