- The aircrete pavers worked! Watch how they easily they attach to the walls for future cladding. The guys get more earthbag/hyperadobe walls built and make room for embedded rocks and a HUGE bottle. A little spray foam in the tire and our little tractor/riding lawnmower is on the road again. Have a wonderful Columbus Day! We appreciate you!

With the combination of the rocks, hexagon tiles and the Quonset style roof, this is going to be the coolest looking shop. Way to go family.
What a productive week! The overlapping (?) quonset hut idea for the roof is fascinating, and I'm extremely curious how it will work. The hexagon 'tiles' look amazing, and I can already imagine the end result.
Expand a foam in a tire!?! Brilliant! The cactus here are brutal so I'm going to try this!
it works as long as there isn't much weight placed upon the tires..
Can’t believe how amazingly awesome the rocks and hexagons look! Wow
Loving the rock wall and aircrete pavers. Looks fabulous
Spraying the wall (rocks & air-creat( with a Thompson's water seal would probably give you results you want. The reds would definitely glow wet or dry. A sand-blast may accidentally do some damage.
The walls look so beautiful. Your family is so artistic! Love it and love your show!
Thank you. Such a pleasure to watch a beautiful family without hearing any swearing.
My fear of the sandblasting would be that it would leave a very rough texture on the rocks - you might loose a lot the shinyness that some of them have!
25 years in concrete taught me that simple vinegar will actually remove concrete/cement/ mortar film on just about anything including glass.
Clothing to?
I suggested the same thing. Hadn't seen your post first.
Absolutely!!! I discovered vinegar for that purpose after grouting our newly tiled floor. Worked like a charm. 👍
Love the rocks and hexagon s. Try a wire wire brush to clean up the rocks.
I see you’re keeping the fans happy, giving the people what they want with all the bonus footage! Thought it was over and I got 3 extra minutes!! I’m sure it expanded my life by at least 3 days 😂 thank you so very much for documenting, editing and sharing your existence. I’m living through you until I can start to get creative on my own. This time next year I hope to be on new land, harvesting a fall garden and maybe building a rock wall of my own! You are all an inspiration!
Wow looks so nice your rock walls. Great job. God Bless
The last 2 batches and the bee pavers were fantastic 💚 💚
Watching you guys is like a weekly fix of happy!
Great video and progress… love the critter tracks. So, what was Shelly wearing that had to be blurred out? Now, we just need a 3D printer model of the various roof designs that you can swap out to see which one you like the best. Thanks for sharing!
Loving the progress!
Two comments-- Responding to the sand blasting idea. Why not? Or maybe a 'soft' wire brush on a drill?
But after watching poor Shelley try to keep that wall wet.... I'm thinking you guys are gonna have to get some wetter water! :D
So happy anniversary! 7 years ago I starting watching you guys! I commented on that video too! Breaking ground on Brysons room Ep 11! I had dreams of one day building a home out of cob. But now I watch because yall have become family! You guys helped my family make a major memory when you gave us tickets to the 2018 Gaming Con here in GA! As long as you guys post I will forever watch! ❤️ yall!
Wow, you all got so much done!! Your plan for everything sounds fantastic!!!! My strong suit is not in visualizing, but I think I understand the plan. I especially like the idea of the roof!!
Looking good. Loving that Bee motif..
Thoroughly enjoying the cruisy music again with this vid. And shadow boxing! lol. The hexagons are totally rocking it! But all-in-all, I think I'd like Luna's job. 😀
Always full of creativity...pretty cool 😎💯🤗
The aircrete tiles look like a huge Settlers of Catan game! 😃
Those pavers look fantastic on the walls, but they're going to be tough to place on the curved parts, and they'll require a huge amount of mortar on all of the earth bag areas.
You should get Bryson to weld a giant hexagonal cookie cutter out of steel bar stock, then you can just put cob or whatever on the earth bags like you always do, and press the hex pattern into it while it's damp. After it's cured, you can paint the lines black and paint the hexes lots of different colors.
Oh wow, love the rocks and the aircreate hexigons
Can't wait to see the Terrarium.
You might consider adding a product called fiber mesh to your aircrete that should give it some strength with very little weight added
So fun to watch! Thanks guys
Oh wow! Shelly, I washed your car here in Vegas this weekend, I thought it was you but didn't say anything! Your just as amazing in person as you are in the videos! Thanx for the awesome tip as well!
You could create a biome in that big glass bottle: have some earth in it, a tiny bit of water, just enough, a plant and then seal it airtight . The plant could sustain itself for decades. Or you could put in several small ones. There must be lots of info on the webs of making plant biomes
Wowwww , you guys have nailed it with the aircreate tiles , looks fantastic , super smart 😂, hope your all doing well 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
Just watching the opening, Bryson's overalls are sick and I want a pair.
Bryson is one smart cookie~
Y’all are the Rock-Ettes!
I'd try the sand blasting to clean the rocks. I know it does wonders on brick. You may need to repoint the joints after.
I'm loving the longer video yall!!!!
Ohh I love those rocks! The colors! I especially like the way y'all get along! Not to say that you never disagree but, I can tell that y'all make up well! Great videos! I'm having a little trouble figuring out the time line, but I'm having fun watching!
Great show
I took my mower to a tire shop and had them fill all four tires. It’s great. No more flats.
G'day M.L.H, I would probably use chickenwire in your concrete paver moulds to help prevent cracking! Just a thought guys 👍🌞🇦🇺
Looking Good 😀
Hexalent!
Do a roof with a heavy ceiling between the two old sections - you can store wood pieces up there, metal rods. Not as heavy as an apartment but I have always loved the idea of a hell of a lot of storage space in a workshop, Ladder access would be enough as you won't be living up there
Be good when the building is finally done.
I wish that I could give this video multiple likes! I just loved it! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Lookin good!!
Put the spout of the big glass bottle downwards so you can wash out the soil and plants when the terrarrium doesnt work out
Hubby says to acid wash it then you have to neutralize the acid with sodium bicarb or TSP. Two gallon garden spray with a 1/4 gallon of acid. Have to wet everything before you apply it. Don't sand blast it. Might want to use an acid brush to get the heavy off.
Those pavers were a really great idea
Was that sound of broken glass hinting at the loss of the beautiful window/terrarium/aquarium jar?
My vote would be for goldfish if it was on a north wall that would not get direct sun.
Very common in old England to find animal footprints on clay lump blocks and bricks left out in the sun to dry, often referred to as pixie prints the bricks and blocks would be considered blessed and featured in places of prominence by the brick layers. Obviously your pixies were doing you a favor which you could do for your selves by making a comb out of a piece of scrap wood and setting nails about an inch apart, comb wiggly lines across the back face of your pavers when still wet at 90% to each other this will help provide extra grip to your wall. good luck with the build should be a nice work shop it's shape reminds me of the shepherd homes of Crete only they have flat roofs to catch the rain. with stones set into the out side of the wall to act as stairs.
3:33 could this music be more perfect? love it!!!
Have you ever tried mixing shredded wet cardboard with cement? It makes a strong light weight concrete.
I've tried the foam in the tire trick and found that over time the foam compresses. You might be able to refill them, not sure. I just use Slime in all the tires of my yard implements and it works great 👍
Do you buy it off the shelf or do you make something? If you make it, could you share the directions? Thank you
Go to any hardware store and pick up a gallon of muratic acid for about 10 bucks dilute with water, spray on and brush with a stiff bristle brush, rinse and your done ! every stone and brick layer I know uses this method !
I want that jar‼️
Maybe do some concrete dye in someone those hexagons
You could also try a grinder with a bristle blade type thing on it on it or a drill with a wire brush on the end of it that make them all shine up and get that dusty stuff looking off of it
There are products for cleaning mortar/concrete/grout haze, may be useful for shining up your rocks. IIRC its just a strong acid
15:34 - Bryson practicing for when he finally ties a damsel in distress to railroad tracks.
I love your videos. Question: are you planning to plaster the earth bags after you do the rock walls?
So much progress! Looking good! What made you rethink the apartment idea?
You could put a fosh in it in the wall.
Everyone pitching in Having a rock of time
You could totally repurpose fish tanks, put them on their sides in the walls and turn them into terrariums!
suggest adding fiber to pavers , chopped hey nylon rope fibers whatever you have lying around .
I was looking at the unused pile of rocks and thought of something. If not using it for the surround, how about using it as underlayment for the ramp up to the doors or for a rock wall as a windbreaker or for a a garden surround? the other option: instead of pavers as a path up to the shop, place on ground and fill in with aircrete or cement/golden pebbles like in the courtyard.... the gray stones look a little "flatter" than the golden ones.
An older Farmer in my area taught me the foam fill tire fix. I filled my overly used plastic wagon and it keeps going.
27:11 lol Bree
Hi Bree I hope you're well!
Oh heck...u need to post the li k to the channel that taught u the wheel trick...i got wheel barrow and trolly with flat tires.
put chicken wire in it ? and maybe use concrete die making different color pavers ?
A friend lived near a concrete plant and her car's windscreen would get cement dust on it that wouldn't wash off. She was told to use white vinegar to clean the windows. It worked. Maybe spraying the rocks with vinegar and then rinse off after a while would work. Also, a Terrarium in the sun isn't a good idea. I think the plants would burn. Just sayin'. Good luck from NC.
Okay so y'all can come to Alabama and make me a Earth Bag She Shed. LOL
Is the aforementioned fabricator requiring all the schmoozing Garen???
Bree needs to paint at least one bee on one of the hexagons...
From sky view this look like a Castle hum
Wire brush on a drill to get the concrete off.
I like yours better than the Vegas look. You all get rainbows too. Thank you UA-cam for the cool tire
hack! With the Quonset hut look will harking back to the Hoop Barn ! 👏👏
when did the roof on your kitchen have that rounded peak one on each end to a reg peak roof in the middle to tie it all in
Do u set aside time to relax? How ? We bought a home with a lot of projects that need to be done before winter here and feel so burdened by the fact we feel like we should be productive all the time
You know what would be cool, is to paint an American flag where each red or white stripe follows a row of a 6 or 7 hexagons, and the shape of the stripe would look like it was zigzagging. Or would it be unpatriotic to make a dizzying flag? White stars on blue, well that is up to you how that would be created.
do it like tiling, butter the wall first with a slurry.
Keep the damp while they cure AZ 🔥 dries out to fast
nice show😇love seu
Could you scrub the rocks with a wire brush to try to clean the film off?
Tileglue (the mortarstuff for tiles) for the hexagons? Wouldn't that be easier?
have you tried adding a small amount of water based paint, in your concrete / mortar / aircrete mixes, to colorize your project's.
I've added some left over green and blue to some concrete (replacing a bit of water) for a planter.
I don't know how much strength I lost. it was an interesting project..
Latex based paint might add a bit of flexibility and adhesion to mortar.
Tell Bryson to "quickly "leaf" the area and the branches won't fall on him."
To clean the film off the rocks instead of a sandblaster try using diluted muriatic acid and a wire brush. Wear good gloves the acid is rough on the hands
You can make that a GOLD FISH BOWL🐟
Haven't seen Garen, Ellie and the girls for so long. How are they going
I think I saw that foam generator you guys used for the Aircrete on Etsy, is that where you got it?
I love ❤️ the whole earth bag building going up
Love ❤️ love ❤️ love ❤️ it
Sorry 😞 but not a fan of the rocks outside the building or the concrete hand made pavers
I’m impatient to see the building get finished and would love all the family to complete that building first before the other projects
I can’t wait to see the roof get put in the building
Sorry 😞 to offend but every week I tune in and the videos go too quick and the podcasts big they interesting
But I live in hope of seeing the roof go on
Cheers 🥂
Australia 🇦🇺 👍👍👍🦘🦘🦘
How is that tire holding up? Is it bumpy when you ride? 🤔
"Window", you might try boric acid to get the film off the rocks.
Ever heard of ''BRICK WASH'' ??? it's used to clean bricks and stone masonry!
Plant more trees. like fig !
It won’t be hard to find the varmint(s) that had a paver party…….🎉 look for the ones with concrete shoes 🐀 👟 ❤
Where's Bullet?
