Brilliant demo👍 I'm suprised it didn't explode into a million pieces putting bass through it...but since there are bass pre-sets, they knew it could handle the heavy lifting.
It’s amazing what modern amps can do and I really like the sound. I had a Yamaha THR 10II which has great guitar tones but I didn’t like the bass model at all.
This seems like it would be helpful for when I have my acoustic bass and am jamming with a few other acoustic guitars. Sometimes I need a little help to keep up with their volume. I wonder how it would sound in that application?
Question: I mostly play along with streamed music. Am I correct that I could plug my bass into the Spark GO, run the Spark GO through my Mac laptop via the USB, then listen through my AirPods? I hope so, as I like the simplicity of that setup.
Beautiful demo, thank you. You actually helped in my decision to have one. I am playing now absolutely everywhere without limits, without having necessarily to deal heavy amps and power sockets. Would you suggest a good custom setting for bass with a clean sound to store in preset?
I tried the Spark Mini with a bass in a music store today and even at medium volume the amp gave up on the E string. I can't imagine it working any better with the Spark Go. But maybe I just need to try it out.
Well these are very tiny speakers, even in the Mini. You have to be really careful with bass, gain and volume and a bit of compression helps a lot to get more volume out of it.
It's great with headphones. I don't think there's a difference to the bigger Sparks when using headphones. You have the headphone out an a USB Audio option for outputs, that's it.
@@basstelkeller thank you for your reply and for the information. As far as I can tell from the specs on the Positive Grid site, the headphone jack can also be used as a line out. Is this accurate? Have you tried that? Thanks again
For bass, i would use headphones and recording through USB or line, miking looks pointless but for show how can Spark GO handle bass sound it was great :)
Very nice review! Good review. There is nothing similar on the market. The big problem is that the main reason for buying is the main con. The sound is poor even for practicing.
The speaker's tiny. There's only so much bass you're gonna be able to squeeze out of it. Probably better off just getting a good smaller Ampeg or Hartke, or whatever.
Depends on what you’re looking for. This thing is much more portable than any Ampeg or Hartke. So for traveling it’s great. For a practice amp which stays at home you should get something bigger.
Just ordered this. Perfect for me: a guitarist who plays a bit of bass and has money/space for one tiny budget amp and can’t play loud at home. Thanks for your tips
I'm a guitar player, and that's a good demonstration that the Go does a good job in handling low frequencies.
Best review on Bass using this particular little amp - nice, and concise.
Thanks!
Thank you for this; it has been the best amp demonstration so far. More people need to see this,
PS this made me get one. LOL :)
Thank you for watching!

I think it's probably too small for that. I tried it with my ukulele bass and you don't really hear the amp over the acoustic sound.
good playing, good review, you're a good dude
Thanks!

COULD you use it as a practice amp to play along with music (albums, Bluetooth, etc)?
That would work although at a rather low volume
What is the recommended headphone impedance? Will regular phone headphones work?
There‘s nothing mentioned in the specs. I don’t see why it shouldn’t work with phone headphones.
Can you play together with just an accoustic guitar? For Like a little Outdoor jam? Or would you Go for the spark mini? Chers
@@paulgrote6796 I would definitely go for the mini for playing with any other instruments.

It may work, but there will probably be some latency in that setup…

Thanks for watching! I‘d start with your favorite bass amp model and add a bit compression.
can you make a reveiw on their spark mini with bass? im interested in their bluetooth speaker and bass guitar abilities.
Sadly, I've got no Spark Mini...
@ ok well please let me know if thats something that changes in the future, id love your review
Awesome demo! Very helpful. Where can I find that first jazz bass?
Thanks!
The J Bass in the video is one that I built myself from parts. It has a pretty heavy ash body, Tonerider pickups and a Wilkinson bridge.
Hi! The beats your playing with the finger style and go amp?
@@NDN_REV Beats?
@ sorry, I meant the licks - bass line you were playing?
Ah OK. That’s just something I came up with

How does it sound using headphones? (instead of the speaker) Also is there an output jack of any kind?

awesome!!! thanks for the fast reply - which ones, the tsunami or the waveriders? thinkin about getting them but idk which one
