It’s so easy to get wrapped up in the identity of a hero or savior, only to find that the one that needs help and the reason you’re doing it all is because you’re trying to save yourself. “I try to be selfish I try to save everyone but I can’t stop dreaming that they’ll tear through my house and let loose on everyone," also fits that theme so well. "These conversations appear Before the brink of collapse Then back to square one And I know I’m to blame," is also amazing. The self doubt and blame that results from a malfunctioning savior complex slowly drive more and more relationships to collapse and isolate you, leaving you alone and you know it's your fault because you can't stop trying to save them without feeling like you're risking everything and so you end up trapped between. Amazing, amazing work. If I knew more music theory I could probably geek out about why the song sounds so beautiful, but unfortunately I’ll have to settle with listening to it on repeat for a few hours.
Not going to lie but in the near the end of the song it reminded me of how the manga has ended. Another thing is in the part of 2:33 to 3:13,it reminded me of when Deku was talking to Dai and telling him that he could be a hero to.And not going to lie that was the most nicest thing to see in the ending of MHA.And this song is now one of my favorites. Thank you so much to this artist for making this song and thank you Horikoshi for making this amazing manga.
