I think this is the first dio I've seen where someone depicts the gruesomeness of war. You took it to another level in terms of imagination. Very well done..... I'm inspired.
I guess im asking randomly but does someone know of a tool to log back into an instagram account?? I was dumb lost the password. I love any assistance you can offer me!
@Malcolm Alexis Thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site thru google and I'm trying it out now. Seems to take a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Best diorama I've seen the last couple of years. Especially in terms of having a different approach. It's got style. Man, it's got style. Dark, brutal and almost dropped out of a newsreel. A role model!
I’ve seen this three times...March 7th 2021 This really nice... most modelers just do movement and basic action dioramas THIS DIORAMA HAS EMOTION ... it truly emphasizes the true cost and ugliness of WAR... all soldiers care about their comrades in battle... most times they fight for each other... not for any particular beliefs... A COMMON BOND , TO SURVIVE AND GO HOME TOGETHER... sorry for rambling... THIS IS ONE OF BEST I EVER SEEN... CHRIS from OHIO
Hi Chris! Thank you very much! There is a lot of diorama with “soldiers drinking coffee and relaxing”. Nothing wrong with that, I will do such builds to, but it’s nice to do something totally different sometimes. If I have the possibility I do what to build something that show the viewers the emotion of the figures in the diorama. Take care! /Erik
A lot of humanity in this scene ... a lot of conflicting emotions... Hate, sadness, courage, despair, fear, thoughtfulness ... The "monsters" of yesterday are anew simple Men, fragile prey, lost in the hell of war. No monsters, no heroes...Just Men... Very impressive ! A work of admirable technique and accuracy. Work that goes beyond a simple technical feat. Bravo l'artiste ! 👏
The compact nature of the base, the use of angles make this a big winner, Erik. You are a very talented modeller and I love your craftsmanship, it took something special to pull this diorama off.
Mark Edwards, thank you so much! I worked really hard with this diorama, it seems to pay off! There are a lot of nice comments. Your kind words will be of help in the future:) Thanks! /Erik
You're killing me Smalls!!! Absolutely wonderful diorama. I haven't been able to even build a model for decades, due to Acromegaly. That doesn't stop me from enjoying other modelers and their work. Thank you for sharing with us!!!
The focus on the figures and the scenery brings that wonderful and terrible diorama to a high level, not only of skills, but of emotions it can create to the spectator! Impressive! Well done!
PassifloraIncarnataG Thanks a lot! I really wanted to do something else than soldiers drinking coffee or loading a tank, something that make people write comments like yours! Thanks again:) /Erik
Is this guy the Bon Ross of dioramas? Has a perfect model or an arch and than smears some stuff over it only to make it look even better. Not to mention all the painstakingly accurate details. What a great job!
Wow what a piece of work The scene is always living the moment is like a flashlight and the soldiers seems to move on in the next Moment. You catch the moment The moment of great pain and the hopless of the soldiers and the helpless of the komrads who cant save the live because of the injuries of the comander And you save the will of revenge in the face of one tank Crew man who shouts there it comes from fire over there Kill them The moment of war looks like Great work Yours Frank
Very nice and well made video about your creation of the diorama. Your detailing is done perfectly. Great scenery with first-class representation. I wish you a nice weekend, Erik. Greetings, Joachim
I am glad that you liked it Joachim! I really improved my skills while working with this diorama, hopefully this will help me in the next project. Have I nice Sunday my friend:) /Erik
Hello Erik, very impressive. What a feeling for detail, story and drama. It's looks like a ww2-piëta to me, with the dead commander surrounded by his mourning and desperate soldiers. And on top of it the picture of Maria on the chapel looking down... One of the best diorama's I ever saw.
Koen Vos, I am so glad you noticed all those details that I worked so hard with. I wanted something more than just some guys loading a Panther tank. Among my about 80 Warrior and other resin figures these were chosen for this scene. I am very happy for your kind words, this of course give me energy for upcoming projects:) Thank you very much! /Erik
Beautiful! Great figures, poses and positioning. Very interesting watching you expand, modify and rework the various parts, to get it the way you want it. Like all great dioramas, it tells a compelling story! Thanks
Amazing work! You are truly talented my friend. I’ve painted miniature wargame figures for over 40 years and consider myself a fair painter but my hat is off to you. Your imagination and attention to detail is on full display. Great job, wonderful art!
Terrific work Eric....👏👏 Haven’t used Warrior or Alpine figures myself yet, but you’ve done a great job promoting them...fantastic painting skills! The building looks smart too, Diodump do have some great accessories. The overall scene looks excellent, and very tastefully done depicting the injuries. Well done!🔝🙂👍
Superb Erik, simply fantastic, I mean you even put detail as small as the shoe laces. This is the type of bits I look at and try to include sometimes in my dioramas. I added a oily hand print on my BT-42 and I thought that was good until I saw yours. Wow. I hope you and your family are all OK and staying safe
Blood is pouring out of his destroyed leg Water is pouring out of the broken pipe The Country is destroyed The Commander is dead. A Poem? No: An outstanding Diorama.

Y’know, this looks amazing. But what I truly love about this, is that it isn’t that crazy talented, “I just built my own church from scratch.” Type diorama. Don’t get me wrong, you are very talented. But coming from a newbie to this, this is very inspiring. Thank you!
Looks.a nice set I wouldn't use that cut and shut tank that's the only thing that spoils all this amazing work! I'm sure you'll have a 1.35 scale panther you could add to it if you do this kind of thing apart from the tank its absolutely great I really like that set!
Thank you George Lyons! Oh man, I have two started dioramas showing scenarios from Omaha. One in 1/72 and one in 1/35. Some day I will finish them... Take care! /Erik
